did a very professional job. Job was done ontime and on budget. Trees look great. After i paid them I asked them to come back for a couple" more branches and Vinny came back and got rid of the branches. I would definitely use them again.

"I hired EF Arbor to remove two large trees from my property (1 Oak and 1 Pine) plus grind one stump. The oak tree in the back had a large limb (approx 8" diameter)" break off during the Memorial Day storm that was caught up in the tree. EF Arbor was very professional from the beginning. They were prompt with both the estimate and actual contracted appointments. EF Arbor was competitive with their pricing . The large tree in the back had a sprinkler head right next to the tree. I pointed this out before the work began and they removed the tree with no damage to the sprinkler. My only criticism (why I gave a B for Quality) is that when removing the Pine tree in the front yard, it was cut down in a large section and landed in the grass creating a gouge in the lawn. In their defense, this may have been due to the fact that the pine tree was next to HIgh Power Electrical Lines and
it into the front yard was the safest thing for their crew. Another item that impressed me was that they did not require payment at the end of the job. (Although I was prepared to pay.) A bill was sent to me later that week, indicating to me that the company must be run well enough to be financially stable. I would definitely hire EF Arbor again.

Hiring to Trim Trees? A How-to Guide

Follow these tips to find a tree service that will clip with care and leave you with dollars for the rest of your landscape.

Tree Care and Services

Trees grow slowly so you can't afford to make a mistake by planting them in the wrong location or overlooking something that puts the tree at risk. Tree care is something most homeowners can do on their own, but an expert should be called if a tree is showing signs of disease or if limbs need to be removed.

While summer storms offer a welcome break from the heat or much needed water for a garden, they can wreak havoc after they’ve left.

I would strongly suggest sending your neighbors a certified letter stating that, per your earlier conversation, you consider this tree to be a hazard due to its proximity to the power lines.  Then, when and if something bad does happen, you will have a record of having informed them of it and they won't be able to say "we didn't know."

You say the county has told you it is the neighbor's problem.  Did you contact the local electric company?  They should care very much about the situation.

I would also recommend taking lots of pictures showing the proximity of the tree to the wires and that it is obviously dead.

Dead trees do sometimes stay vertical for a very long time, but it sounds like a tense situation for you.  I understand your desire to not inflame the situation, but it doesn't sound like there is anything more you can do that won't have the potential to do so.  So it becomes your responsibility to look after your own interests in the most reasonable way possible.

For my money, never ? I do a walk-around yearly in the summer (when easy to work on and before the heavy fall winds in our area) and look for trees with dead crowns, losing branches everywhere but at the crown, brown branches (evergreens) or leafless branches, leaning trees, trees with visible rot, trees with major bark loss, trees with seriously damaged or eroded away roots, etc. If none of those symptoms, then I call our 100 or so trees good for the year.

Of course, the bigger the trees and the likelihood of house damageor powerline loss (especially in winter) if there is a major branch or tree fall comes into play also. I trim and cut my own trees when needed regardless of size, so my level of confidence in being able to handle anything comes into it.

If you are worried about one or more trees, call an arborist to check them out - then I would say unless there is evidence of damage - ESPECIALLY leaning trees or major branches not leafing like the rest of the tree - I would not worry having them looked at more frequently than every 10 years or so.

I wasn't home at the time of the service ........but it was like magic......when I left the house they were there(the trees) and when I returned they were gone.......as if they never existed!! They were very careful not to disrupt any of the other plants and left no

came on time for the estimate and it was quite fair. He came with his workmen and they all were on-time.

and his workmen were very polite and professional. They did exactly what was promised. They removed the trees and even left some of the wood for my neighbor and the pieces were uniform in size. They left the backyard clean. It was a very hot day but no one complained. It was a perfect experence. I will recommend "

" to everyone I know and hope to spread the word about this terrific company; owner and his crew. I can't say enough...the experience was that good.

They were taken out of the parking lot at our restaurant they were very flexible with our available time and worked fast when I received other quotes I was told it could take 2.5 to three hours. They did it in less than one hours and no mess left behind honestly I was shocked that there wasn't even a mess left behind they were very thorough.

If you want honestly and responsibility in the company you hire, this is it. When the owner surveyed the task I needed to be done, he honestly said that if he did the job, I'd be paying for his tree service expertise and the job I needed done was more

and could be done at a fraction of the cost. Because he has INTEGRITY, he could not honestly take my money for a higher cost service than what he believed needed to be done in my backyard. Not only that, his office is about 60 miles from my home, he drove out on a weekend, and he got nothing out of it because he was so honest and concerned that I might be paying too much. It is not that he is expensive--it's that the job I needed done would require a

tractor rather than his expertise at removing trees...and he did not want to take my money because he felt it was unethical to do so. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants an honest, hardworking man who is not looking to make a quick buck. I will use him in the future for expert tree service and especially---for his honesty and reliability.

(the owner) arrived on time, the day I called to look at what I wanted done. He offered helpful advice but no pressure. The quote was fair so I hired them to do the work. They arrived on our agreed day, spot on time. The crew were very professional and they went above and beyond on the job including dealing with a hornet's nest at the base of one of the trees they were working on. The work was done quickly and efficienty, everything got cleaned up and they cut the firewood to my specification. It really could not have gone better. I am very satisfied and I will definately use them again!

They were great. He came in with all of his equipment and men and did the job in "no time"! All of the huge stumps were removed with no damage to the sprinkler heads close by.

was such a pleasure to deal with, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing tree service!
