"They emailed me and gave me no information just said it was better if I called them. I did call them and talked to their internet sales manage who would not give" me a price over the phone but insisted I come there to look at in stock vehicle3s and he would give me a price then.

-Robert H.

"We sold our used van to
. Overall, this was a very good experience. The price we were given was decent, but not great, given the condition" of the vehicle (rust, etc). The only down-side was that it took a long time (1-2hr) for them to check out the vehicle and get things settled. The staff was very professional and courteous.

For sale, here is another answer I previously gave to same type question -

Sounds like your biggest problem will be narrowing your list to a limited number of models, and deciding what brand names you are willing to consider to narrow the field.

You can search for websites blogging complaints for each model you are considering to see how they rate with users, and you can also go to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website at     www.nhtsa.gov     to see how many recalls there have been on a specific model and year.

Most dealers these days have websites with their listed prices for new and used cars that you can browse to get an idea of available listed prices.

I would also recommend that you check out the used car values (free) for models you might be interested in on    www.edmunds.com    and on Kelley Blue Book  -  www.kbb.com

Those 2 sources will give you a lot of negotiating power, because they list what the dealer pays the manufacturer on new cars, shows what people have been paying for each vehicle model and model year, and shows used valuations also. There are undoubtedly other such sources also - these are just the ones I have used and seem to be the best known.

Car Dealership reviews in Loves Park

I was in charge of 15 new car purchases and 7 pre-owned cars for family and friends in my lifetime. I worked as a sales representative for major

, Volkswagon and Nissan dealership on 96th Street.I know the automotive industry inside and out. Recently, I was shopping for a pre-owned car for my brother and I inquired about over 60 cars in a multi-state
Loves Park Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
including dealerships and from private sellers. I used Carfax as a basic tool to try and narrow it down to no more than two previous owners. I was not interested in any car coming from auction (unless the car was coming out of lease), none with structure damages under the body frame from accident and trying to find a previous owner that rigorously maintained their car according to up to date required factory maintenance schedule at an authorized service department for the life of the car. It is so important to contact the previous owners? authorized service department with the VIN number and verify all the maintenance was actually done. For example, according to Carfax, one previous owner went to an authorized Honda dealer for 23 visits, but only for oil changes and no major services. Four years ago when I was shopping for a pre-owned car, I searched through 80 cars both from dealerships and private sellers and found a Honda Accord from a dealership that had a original owner that kept up with all of the manufacturer?s scheduled maintenance and she is the only one out of 80 who replaced the timing belt in Chicago. Sadly, neither salesman or service department mentioned anything about doing the reconditioning because they did not do it. The reason the car was in such good shape was due to the previous owner?s diligence in maintaining the vehicle at authorized Honda service department. I wanted a second opinion, so I took the car to another authorized Honda dealership and asked for 150 points certified inspection and it passed only because of the previous owner. I really lucked out in finding a perfect car without the reconditioning. This time, I was getting very discouraged after so many inquiries and not finding anything meeting my standards and worth considering. After I talked to Mr.
Loves Park Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
, he assigned me his best salesman, Mr.
Loves Park Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
. He called me promptly and he was well prepared showed a high level of professionalism. He was already sitting in the car he was going to recommend to me, the
Loves Park Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
Legacy. He thoroughly described the exterior and interior was in immaculate condition. He had the Carfax report and voluntarily explained everything done by the service department to recondition the vehicle in order to provide a high quality, reliable car to enjoy and last for a long time at a fair price. I contacted the
Loves Park Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
service department with the VIN number to verify the accuracy of information. I was very surprised to find out they really did replace major parts to recondition the vehicle. I dealt with many salesman on the phone and in person and have never met any that I liked and felt were honest until I met
Loves Park Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
. He is very honest, knowledgeable, has lots of experience and is very kind. He is the only one who voluntarily disclosed and emphasized the importance of reconditioning the vehicle. From now on I will always ask what the dealership has done to recondition the vehicle. I cannot forgive my last dealership I worked at on 96th Street. I sold a $20,000 pre-owned vehicle to a customer and the transmission blew out within a week. The vehicle was a total lemon. The customer called the dealership many times trying to reach my managers and all the managers refused to take the calls. They were heartless, dishonest and did not show any remorse. It is very important to find a dealership that is honest like
Loves Park Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
automotive who reconditions the vehicle before selling to the customer. I found out that
Loves Park Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
service department reconditioning the
Loves Park Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
Legacy replaced major parts, timing belt and fuel pump (leaking) as well as a few other minor things. Replacing a timing belt is costly and is only needed every 100,000 miles. It is very important maintenance and protects the expensive engine. From my two pre-owned car experiences and inquiring from dealerships and private owners, instead of replacing the timing belt, almost all previous owner?s like to replace the vehicle and pass on the great cost to the new owner. If it is a wiser and frugal owner they would rather pay the money and take care of all required scheduled maintenance, including replacing the timing belt in order to keep the car as long as possible. That is why older model (1997-2000) Honda Accord and Toyota Camry are not seen on the road any more. They used to be everywhere. Neither the previous or next owner replaced the timing belt causing these engines to blow up.
Loves Park Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
service department is very honest and replaces the timing belt and looks out for the long term interest of their customers and preventing the engine blowing up. Sometimes a customer is unreasonable and irresponsible. They neglect and poorly maintain their car and when it begins having problems and needs expensive repairs, they blame the service department for overcharging them. The service department always gives the option to fix the problem or not. Carmax claims to recondition their vehicles and then charges a high premium and offers a lousy 30 day warranty. They do not use genuine auto parts and do not have a certified auto technician for each maker. I found out from Angie?s List member complaints about their inferior service department. When it comes time for my sister to replace her vehicle, I will work with Mr.

Legacy and it was sold. Mr.

told me that anytime a car gets posted online, it sells immediately. Any time I found a car from a private seller, I would call him to get help with the Carfax information. I called him many times and he always called me back promptly and would thoroughly go over all the Carfax information with me even though he is very busy. He is a very compassionate man who truly enjoys helping people. He is keeping in touch with me and keeping an eye on any fresh trading in the future. I have been to countless dealerships in my lifetime and this is the most beautiful and heartwarming place I have ever been because of these extraordinary human beings. They are the most kind, compassionate, and trustworthy people I have ever worked with.

They are impeccable! The honesty is very important to me and it's unreal. Their service department manager,

Brenneke, is exceptional. He is personable, polite and on time. He doesn't rush you and he explains everything in great detail. They are extremely honest. I've spoken to the owner,

as well. Most of the time a company owner is hard to get in touch with but

was right on the spot. If I ever purchased another car, I would never use another dealership because of what I as well as my neighbors have experienced. There was no pressure what so ever. They have a very clean environment. Reception was great! The staff and reception in their collision center is exceptional as well.

We called them to verify they had a car there that we found online. We drove an hour and they let us test drive the car. They then told us that the car was sold this morning before we even called ahead of time to make sure it was still for sale.

This dealership is exceptional both for sales and service. The buying process is straightforward and painless and the service advisors are focused taking care of the customer.

Salesman did not seem interested in what I wanted, rather just wanted to tell me why I should buy vehicle. At one point in conversation I advised I would like heated seats and he advised, "you don't have them now, why would you need them". I was so turned off by the salesman I went to another company/dealer to lease my next car. The new dealer returned the car to Ford. They called me for weeks advising they did not get call back, when in fact it was returned (error on their part). Then a few weeks later I received a inspection letter/bill indicating they were charging another $260 for too small scratches (excessive wear) on the bumper that I'm confident could have 1) been easily buffed out, and 2) would not have been charged if re-leased with them...it was a very small surface scratch, not excessive at all. The vehicle was in great shape when returned, and I only had 17000 miles when returned (over 3 years). There is no way I should have been charged.

The best part of the whole thing is I would have re-leased from Ford because I really like the new vehicle and my first experience was great. I will not be going back to that dealer.

This was the worst experience I have ever had.i was given car back after service was complete and told everything went well .after leaving dealer I noticed something on the hood of my car,I pulled over and got out and found what seemed to be oil stains all over my car on the hood, roof, door panels everywhere.even in the engine compartment.i immediately turned around and went back to the dealer.when I arrived I was approached by service associate,I told him about this oil on the car,he told to wait, then returned with the manger who told me that there was an "incident " with my car.i was to.d that while the car was going through the complimentary car wash a hydraulic fluid hose had burst spilling oil all over my car.i couldn't believe it.why wasn't I told as soon as it happened.they didn't even apologize.i was shocked, hydraulic fluid is a hazardous material.i should never have been given this car back.they were careless, they said they would keep the car and call insurance .i left there shocked at their arrogance and carelessness.when I got home I called the DEP to see if they had reported it,I mean it is an oil spill, they hadn't so I told DEP what had happened and they sent someone there that day.now it has been 3weeks they have had the car and I found out that they have not even called the insurance company yet.this is beyond irresponsible ,it may be criminal, now I have a car sitting with hydraulic fluid all over it for 3weeks.this needed to be addressed asap . The damage to the paint, wires ,filters, seals ect. I spoke to auto shop and they told me damage could be extensive.i will never feel safe in this car ,what if it got into vents will me and my family be inhaling this toxic oil.this dealership is beyond negligent.they should be shut down and investigated who knows what else is going on there!!

Very arrogant sales person. Conversation went like this...
Me: Could you please give me some information on financing rates
Sales guy: It depends on your credit score.
Me: My score is 7XX
Sales guy: What kind of rates have you been getting so far ?
Me: I am looking for a approximate ballpark rate, what is the best you can offer.
Sales guy: Thank you (in an arrogant

, the rates I have got so far from other places are mutually exclusive to the rate you offer.
So, I would have expected an honest answer if you are running an ethical business.
The call was recorded, so I believe you can verify what I am saying.
I hope you take corrective measures to avoid such a situation in the future.

Unprofessional. Stay away.
