Despite our complaints to the moving company, we felt they treated it as just another negotiation, not a serious customer service issue. In return for inadequate compensation, they always tried to get us to sign something that would prevent us from giving them a review on Angies List.
We managed to get back $365 from the credit card company and quite frankly, do not have the desire to go through all of the issues we encountered. They were many and I would have much rather paid the extra $365 for professional service.

Everything was padded and the floors were all covered. Really an excellent experience. The estimate was spot on. They packed my kitchen and all of my grandmother's china came thru safely.

"I called an received an estimate for my move and was told it should take about three hours ($90 per hour + $45 fee). I agreed to schedule my move for the morning time slot, as they mentioned they don't like to schedule Angie's List referrals in the afternoon. The day before, I called to confirm as my deposit was never charged and I was concerned that my move wasn't scheduled. Everything was fine, the office was just super busy with summer moves. Understandable.

I was told to expect my movers to arrive by 9am as I was their first move for the day. They arrived at 9:30am. Once the guys arrived, I was given an estimate to sign for a 5 hour move. I had only budgeted for a 3 hour move and didn't understand the difference in the quote given over the phone. I told them to concentrate on the big items first, and to watch the time. If time ran out, I would move the small stuff myself. I explained that my rental office would allow my movers to use the elevator right next to my apartment but that there would be about 7 stairs to get to the main level. Rather than use the more convenient elevator, the mover insisted that he travel all the way to the freight elevator (the building is huge), to save time since the stairs would have taken a lot longer. This did not make sense to me, as I had moved in using this elevator a year ago, but I let him do his job the way he sought fit. He is the expert, right?

I have to say that the three movers were very nice to me. However, they seemed very unprofessional - constantly complaining about their jobs and the company they work for. They even talked about eachother when one wasn't in the room. I understand moving isn't the most desired job, but there has to be a filter on what you can say in front of a customer. It became a bit uncomfortable at times and I felt bad for them.

The move seemed to take forever due to the long amount of time each trip to the elevator took. Finally, they told me that they couldn't fit anymore of my boxes into their truck. What?! I asked if I had more items than a typical one-bedroom apartment would have, and they said no. "All of the big trucks were in the city".

I realize that I put pressure on the movers to get the job done in the three hour period. So I understood if there were items I needed to move myself. I was prepared for that. However, running out of space on the truck seems ridiculous to me. What if I allowed them to take longer than 3 hours, what would they have done not having space for my belongings?

The overall move went fairly well. A few items were damaged - a nick out of my coffee table and end table. It's not a huge deal to me as I can fill it in with a brown marker, I'm sure. I felt that the price was reasonable, I just wish they had an appropriate sized truck so I didn't have to make so many trips in my own car.

"It was an extremely good experience. First, I was able to get a moving date within a few days. I was given complete information on all the charges and received an e-mail confirmation within minutes of that conversation. The movers showed up on time and were very professional. As we had the items labeled as to go to storage or trash, the guys started in right away and worked quickly and efficiently. If any items needed to be boxed or wrapped, they knew the best way to do that. They quickly got the items on the truck. Everything was delivered to the storage area and stacked carefully-I was able to buy a couple of mover's blankets to protect some items. I have never done a move as stressless as this one-the guys were amazing. I would very highly recommend this firm."

"It took longer than expected and took two trips because the company contact never asked for details of our move, i.e. size of house, how many rooms, how many boxes, how much furniture. We had four movers that were efficient and did a decent job. The reason I gave a "C' for professionalism is because there was frequent bickering among the movers on the best ways to do things and how it should be done.Aside from that, they did a good job overall."

When we arrived at the new place, Rich took the time to place everything where I wanted, set up one of the beds, and even put the patio furniture on the balcony. I really enjoyed working with this team, it was a comfortable working relationship and I will definitely ask for them when the time comes to move again. Lastly, the experience of reserving for my specified date and time was easy and the office staff were very very caring and helpful. Thanks everyone!"
