Flooring Reviews in Hanover Park

We have high praise for
as he did the majority of the work on both bathrooms. He is very attentive, meticulous, and neat. He does everything as if he?s working in his own home. And he diligently follows my wife?s two golden rules: One, measure twice, cut once, and two, do your utmost to do it right the first time. We have high praise for
in general. The road from old to new for any home improvement project can be fraught with the unexpected, especially in an older home. During the installation period, they graciously accepted and applied every change requested, and all our questions were addressed in a timely and professional manner. Although we did have a basic drawing of each bathroom, we did not have a final architectural rendering. So there were a few things we had to work ?on the fly.?
?s approach is 100% customer oriented. Thru out the process,
remained perfectly true to
?s mantra, ?We will make it right!?
has my highest recommendation. The finished bathrooms are beautiful and showroom quality! We?re very happy!

Everything went well except the Swantile on the shower walls. It would not adhere completely to the drywall and was loose in several areas-needed to be braced against walls for adhesive to work and workman did not have essential tools to brace. We/he used our 2 suspension shower curtain rods and some boards we had on hand to try to brace it, but that was not sufficient. Workman agreed that it was a poor choice for the shower walls. Also, we have a window above tub & window trim incl. with Swantile was insufficient and workman had to use trim boards for top half which didn't match up with incl. trim. Didn't look good. Called Re-
to express displeasure with shower wall product, they agreed to credit us cost of Swantile & allowed us to choose ceramic tile ($5/sq.ft.allow.) Swantile removed, ceramic tile installed on walls and around window. 3 shelves & soap dish installed (addl.cost). Start date 5/16, finish 08/23 due us out of town 3mos. Workman punctual, but could've used help w/o.

I have hired
Hanover Park Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
Construction to do some repairs in my kitchen and to remodel both of my bathrooms. All work was done in a timely matter, just as outlined in the estimates. Everything turned out very nice - from the kitchen ceiling which needed to be repaired after being damaged by water leak from one of the bathrooms, to the bathrooms them selves...

, and
Hanover Park Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
are very easy to deal with, do great work, and are very detail oriented. From the very beginning I was very impressed with care they took to keep my house as clean and damage free as possible.... One of my great concerns were the hard wood floors and stairs - I was very pleased when I saw them protecting my floors and stairs with heavy resin paper. Every day before they finished all tools were neatly put away, they vacuumed the work site and adjacent areas keeping everything clean and dust free. If I had any questions or concerns they were addressed immediately. Clearly,

came out and gave us an estimate, he seemed knowledgeable and after a month of thinking about it, we went to his showroom to go over the proposal in detail and see the actual laminate product and at that time we decided to move forward and put down a 50% deposit in mid-

. We were informed a few days later that the stair nosing piece was on backorder and they would let us know when it was in to schedule installation. In late August we got the call that they had the material and they told us when they were coming, which after that much time, they should have asked if that worked for us. It did not and we had to then wait a few days to hear back and reschedule for the around 9/12/12. It was supposed to be a 2 day project. After day 1, the installers told us they didn't have enough material to complete the job and would have to come back a 3rd day. Considering we took off work, etc. it was inconvenient, but workable. The next day the installers came back and put in what they could. They did not clean up well after themselves at all. A razor blade was left on my windowsill where my animals and child could have easily accessed it, if we had not been diligent. This also caused us to more thoroughly examine the work in place. There were definite concerns and we spoke with

and he came out to address the concerns. He wrote down everything I told him, however I didn't get any real feeling of caring about the quality of work or safety issue. The installers ended up coming back on a Saturday for day 3 and if they had worked as h****** the previous 2 days they had been there, they could have definitely done a better job. They addressed some of my concerns. When they finished they were supposed to make sure I was happy with the finished product. That didn't happen. No one ever called, followed up, nothing. We got the final bill about a month later and I just paid it. There are a few spots they did not fill that they should have. At the very top of my stairs, there is a spot that feels like they didn't put underlayment in, which is weird, but I'm not sure what would be done about that now. The installers had cut the carpet back way too far at the transitions to the bedrooms and the transitions don't cover the

had offered to send out a carpet stretcher although he "hadn't budgeted that", but frankly I don't want their people in my house anymore and we plan on replacing the carpet within the next year anyway. I mostly like the finished product, but there are definitly things that should have been done better. I had high hopes from all of the great reviews on this company and sadly I am disappointed. Of course no project goes perfectly, but things were poorly communicated, hurried in the end and should have been handled differently and with more care.
