was great! I highly recommend her. This was the first time I have worked with an interior designer and she totally put me at ease. She had" great ideas and was very cool about the fact that we have lots of pets - 4 cats and 2 dogs. She even wanted to find a color that "the kitties would like" for the room that they hang out in. I really appreciated that
had great ideas about how to use what I already have and not spend a ton on new furniture. The color choices were ones that I would never have made on my own. I can't wait to see how they look on the wall! I am looking forward to working with her on the next stage of our home revamp!

"This was well worth the money as were wanted to paint the interior of our entire house (from the builders beige that has been here for 10 years)... we really had" no idea as to what direction to go and so we had some colors picked out and she advised us as to areas to put them. Grateful for her input, as we would have put a color in the kitchen that would have been AWFUL ... but luckily, she had a few more color charts and steered us in a better direction. She also was great on her follow-up and gave us many links to some interior changes that were in our budget. Overall a great experience.

I know you said you didn't want a realtor but I do know someone who is good.  Her name is Pam Hunt and she is with William E. Wood.

Otherwise I would check out interior designers.  They could make suggestions and outline some finer details that could help you stage your home.

In the meantime start packing away those personal momentos and pictures.  Clear and clean the walls.  Go with a neutral paint color throughout the house.  Oyster by Behr is a classic.  Start getting rid of clutter.  If you haven't worn it in 3 years or used it in 5....pitch it.  Depending on how long you have lived in your home the accumulation of "things" could be tremendous. Donate your unwanted and unused to a thrift store.  It is tax deductible. Get appliances off the counters in the kitchen.  Buyers want to imagine "their" things sitting there.  Get rid of heavy drapes and go with  sheers consistent throughout the house.  Make rooms look larger by chucking some furniture.  Sell it or put it in storage until you have moved.  How is the floor?   Carpet removed may reveal beautiful hardwoods that are in high demand right now.  Pets?  Get someone to come give you the "sniff" test.  We grow acustomed to the smell of our house and might not recognize pet stinkies. Make everything shine by cleaning thoroughly, and let in the light.  Bright rooms are inviting.  Dark rooms are depressing. These things will give you a head start and clear your mind for some good ides.  Good luck with your interior designer.

I have lost count of how many kitchens I have remodeled and I prefer Brushed Stainless Steel sinks. Polished will show scratched more  and with the brushed finish if you wipe with the grain with a milld scrub pad and an old time product called Bar Keepers Friend the look good almost forever. If you have any concerns about scratches in the bottom you can use a grid when needed, most sink manufacturers make them for their sinks. You say you have stains in a solid surface siink and it is probably the older generation. The newer ones have a high stone content to the mix and are less prone to this but I still prefer stainless.

Unclutterer had a post about this a few months back. While I didn't use the photo gallery method she suggested, I did check out the comments to find some other interesting solutions: http://unclutterer.com/2011/04/04/easily-hang-an-organized-photo-gallery-with-the-perfectpicturewall/

was both easy to work with and very professional. We love our new room and the way the space is used. She helped us with the placement of the furniture in our living room as well.

I was at first very hesitant in hiring a interior decorator, for my new apartment, but after trying to do it myself and being overwhelmed I knew I needed help. And I'm really glad that I did because working with was an awesome experience.
Going in I had a general idea of what I was going for but was trying to figure out where to start and was, for the most part, really unfocused. She started off by asking me questions about what I wanted with the space and what my style was. After which she took some time to do some measurements. After that we were able to , step by step, layout the my living room and I loved the concept same up with for it. She was a very good listener and very attuned to what style I was going for. She had no problem if I didn't really like a particular idea she was pitching and was happy to explore other avenues and concepts.
Before the meeting with

I was very confused and overwhelmed but after, I was really able to flesh out exactly what I wanted,
she gave me great notes on what we discussed, a sketch layout that was easy to follow and a general list of idea/products from vendors that might be selling what I want. It was so easy and so great!
I was very pleased with meeting with

and would definitely recommend her for anyone else that might need some tips in decorating their home!

I hired Rich
Greenup Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
for a complete condo redesign after finding him through a Groupon deal for an initial consultation. When I decided to move forward with him for a complete design, Rich came up with some beautiful design ideas. I was looking forward to working with him. Because much of the work was custom, or furniture which needed to be ordered and purchased, I had to pay a majority of the costs up front. These costs totaled over $35,000.
Initially, things began rather smoothly. My condo was repainted rather quickly by a very skilled craftsman. My kitchen wall was retiled. My floors were sanded and refinished. My new leather couches were delivered. It was at that point, that things started to fall apart.Other things like the custom desk and custom entertainment center were never delivered (I was told by Rich that they were damaged in transit or were the wrong color and were returned to be redone). The electrician never showed up for a significant amount of work because he was in a motorcycle accident. Custom pillows were just never delivered. It was around this same time that Rich started showing up less and less, and began to avoid my calls and not return my calls. When Rich DID finally get back to me, he did mention that he was very sick (apparently pancreatic cancer) and had to attend therapy.
At this point, Rich said that he's still like to work with me, and I agreed to be patient with him during his treatments. But as he supposedly continued treatments, work came to a complete standstill. During calls that I made directly to the companies who were providing some of the custom furniture, I was told that they didn't have any records of items being sent or even ordered for my address. It was at this point that I called Rich, and we both decided that it would probably be better to end this project, and he agreed to return the rest of the money back to me for the goods and services that were not delivered. The amount of money to be refunded to me came to $19,508.85
Rich agreed to refund this money to me, and has refunded $10,000 (two $5000 checks). That was over a year ago -

23, 2014 to be exact. Now, over a year later, I have not seen a single cent of the $9,508.85 of which I'm still owed. I've reached out countless times to Rich via text message, voicemail on his cell phone, calls to his office, as well as emails. Literally several dozen times without a single response. Not from him, nor anybody else at his company (if there is anybody else that works with him).
I continue to reach out, asking for an update as to when I can expect the rest of my money. However, considering it's been a year and a month since I last year from him, and my countless communications from him have been ignored, I'm losing home that I'll see my money again.
I may take him to court to get my money back, although I'd rather not. I just want my money back and would greatly prefer to avoid going the legal route.
Rich, if you're reading this, please reach out to me.
Anybody else - I'd avoid this designer at all costs... because I might cost you more than you realize.

is fantastic to work with. He has a great vision and helped us pick out a number of pieces of furniture over the course of 2 years. He accommodated our budget and was creative on his approach. I would highly recommend him.

It went great. I LOVE the folks that

recommended for window treatments. They had a wonderful selection of fabrics and were such a pleasure to work with. My cabinet maker is also perfect and with

was sweet, had good idea on paint color. She was 20 minutes late for the appointment. We scheduled another day to complete initial appointment.

was great! She was punctual and we got right down to figuring out what I needed, I had a punch list ready for her outlining areas I needed input on and in two hours she'd determined an entire color palette and scheme for the interior/exterior and then we found an overall style for lighting fixtures throughout the house and then a full style for bathroom remodels. Great ideas that will make my house really nice!
- Craig C.

He literally drafted out the design right in front of us to provide to a contractor to do the work. He did exactly what we wanted and was very easy to work with, provided great ideas to help prove the design concept and has recently helped us with a massive interior design, a new build, and furniture design for us. He is able to take our concepts and turn it into an artistic design or blueprint for contractors to use as a template for the work.
