She had a very bad habit of stressing deadlines for documentation then not responding to phone calls and emails. She would email me that she needed to speak then I would call and find out that she was in a class for the rest of the day and could not be reached. She gave me a total of five minutes to contact her even though she knew she was going to be in the class. Each time what she needed was not urgent and could have been communicated within an email so I wasn't left wandering.
She did this to me several times and one time set a deadline to go over documentation that required a phone conference set for a Saturday and simply never called. Come Monday she informed me that her wifi was having issues. I cancelled all of my plans on Saturday and waited patiently by the phone and email for the documents and the call that never came. When I told her this bothered me, I did not get an apology only a new deadline for the phone call.
The final issue was when she sent me a bunch of documentation and it was for someone else! I was "secure" emailed documentation for someone else and had all of their information. I tried to contact her to find out if she'd sent this person my information but yet again she was in training and could not be reached. I paniced for most of the day until my real estate agent finally got ahold of her. It was then that I told her that I would not be using her from that point on and had to start all over with someone else. We were supposed to have been contacted by Edina Realty Mortgage and/or Wells
I would never use her or suggest her to anyone else.
I refinanced my 30 year FHA loan into a 15 year conventional. I was concerned about doing the loan over the phone and via the web, but the rate I got from to go with it. Everything was handled via their website, other than the initial contact with
Handling everything online turned out to be incredibly easy and convenient. I did all the paperwork and uploaded it late in the evening when I had time. I was kept current on what was happening via email. I could check my loan's progress any time I wanted via the web.
When the application package was submitted to the lender, there was some kind of problem that required me to reprint and re-sign all the documents. I wasn't too happy about that because I didn't have much spare time, I didn't understand the reason, and I dislike doing tedious tasks over again.
My appraisal came through much higher than expected, which was a happy surprise. We were able to drop the PMI which reduced the payment even further.
I had a few more questions about charges at settlement time. I didn't have to pay any closing costs, even though I wanted to. (I don't believe in paying interest on settlement charges.)
