I contacted the Leawood to make an appointment for a foreign exchange student - the screen on her iPhone was shattered. The representative at the store said, ...More "We need to diagnose the problem" and scheduled an appointment five days later. I called the , explained I was sick, and asked if I could drop the phone off at the store. The representative who answered the phone said, "Yes, but we need your information." I asked, "What information?" She said, "Oh, your name and stuff like that so we can find out what's wrong with the phone." I explained, "The screen is shattered." She said, "Well, we still need to talk to you." I arrived at the store and stood in line for 15 minutes to check in at my scheduled time. I checked in with a service representative named . I had the flu, I was running a fever, and provided me with a trash can if I needed to vomit. I sat at stool with the trash can at a table next to for over an hour. I asked how long the wait would be - he said he didn't know. After an hour wait, I picked up the trash can and went to back of the store to ask one of the service representatives about the wait time. He said he'd let me know and walked away. I asked another service representative about the wait time, I explained I was sick and had been waiting over an hour. I called the foreign exchange student to let her know I had not checked in her phone yet, I waited over an hour - the customer service representative interrupted and said, "It's not been that long - it's only been a half hour." (Up until this point, he had not asked my name yet or the scheduled appointment time). He added, "Besides, you're early, so we're good." I told him my name and asked, "Do you mean I haven't been checked in yet?" He argued, "No, but I'm waiting on you now, so there's nothing to complain about." He asked for the iPhone ID information - I explained I was dropping off the phone because the screen was shattered. I also explained I was told when I called the store that I only needed to provide my contact information; I was not aware that "other stuff" included the iPhone ID information. The customer service representative handed the phone back to me and said, "I'm sorry. We can't help you."
I don't mind making an appointmentment. I do mind a wasted hour with rude customer employees.

I am a total computer and I know almost nothing. They were very nice people, extremely nice. They charge you for everything including if you make a phone call and ask him to do something on the phone. There’s no gratification or whatsoever which I never like sometimes. If I go to ’s, I ...More ’t expect to pay for the ketchup, salt, pepper and . There are certain things I guess you can give gratification for and I guess you can all give that points. If you got to a restaurant and order a steak, you pay for the steak; if you order a mashed potato, you pay for that separately. You pay for everything separately but I ’t expect to pay for every single item including phone calls. So I’m not really thrilled about that. It’s not cheap and I believe that if people need a little extra, it should be free. But they are okay, they are good. However they are not giving their service away. They ’t do anything illegal or morally wrong but I think from a business point of view, I am not happy with getting charged for every little thing. Some people may disagree with me but that is the way I feel about it. They charge for every little thing and I know they have to make a living but sometimes I think that if you are a regular customer, you will do a little something for him. So the way I feel about is they are not a great company to deal with. However, they are nice people. In the future, they will not be my first choice and I will use them again if I could not get anybody else.
