Tire Buying And Repair Reviews in Evanston

Shop is very honest. I wanted more expensive
tires but they tried to sell me less-expensive ones to save me money. I'm a regular customer, and one time they sold me a replacement tire at cost. Other times they have repaired tires for me for free or at very little cost.

They did a great job. Fast courteous and responsive. They provided good communication along the way. My wife had taken it in to the dealer, who couldn't find the fix engine light problem and wanted to charge us an extra investigation fee to do more research on it.
quickly found the vacuum hose problem and fixed it for a fraction of what the dealer was trying to get. I will definitely use them again. I have another car that is due.

Tire Buying And Repair reviews in Evanston

We had used

before to replace a tire that couldn't be plugged and I was very happy with their work. So I trusted their opinion this time around. They were able to get the job done that day while we waited. I will be going back there for not only tires, but other car repair issues. They are extremely nice, very thorough in explaining things, and quite accommodating.

As far as the mechanic goes, they seem to be very honest. Other people always find things that are wrong. They aren't like that, and that's why I trust them. They have done major jobs for me before, and they have fair prices.

He called back 3-4 business days later and said the tires had arrived. After getting over the shock, I asked how much. He reported $60 more than what I found them on-line for. He told me it was sales tax. Then he said he didn't know, he'd have to find out. I called back a couple days later and he said it would cost another $85 for alignment. I am not comfortable having people do service without my authorization, which I don't give without some idea of the cost. I wanted to buy tires on-line and save some money, unless a dealer can get a better deal. He told me that if I didn't take the tires he'd have to pay for them personally. I told him I'd take them for the same cost I can get them delivered from another tire store. The boss came on the phone to tell me to take my business somewhere else, which I will do forever. BTW, I found 3 other shops within a mile that will mount tires I have delivered to them, for less money.

They were very busy, so I left the tire and came back to get it about 1/2 hour after they said it would be done. I had to wait about an hour or so before it was ready. The next day when I was on the expressway, the tire went flat again. Fortunately the police and an IDOT truck stopped and put the spare on. When I took the tire back, I left it while I ran errands. I called to find out what the problem was and was told the that the weights needed to balance the tire were installed in the wrong place, causing the tire to go flat. I initially agreed to another $60 or so charge to replace the lug nuts. After waiting another 2 hours beyond the time the tire was to be finished, I complained and got another story about the problem with the tire. When I said I would call the national customer complaint line, they checked with each other and decided that they caused problem with the tire. Finally they agreed that the second visit would be no charge because I had to come back a second time.

These big box stores get bad press, but sometimes they give us a reason to go other than low prices on more toilet paper than a diuretic

could use in a year. It was a cold day, and I was going to run into
Evanston Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
to pick up a few things before chauffeuring random children to random locations. As I pulled into a parking spot, I noticed that one of my tires was alarmingly flat. I zipped into the store and told the guy at the automotive counter about it. He said that everyone was busy and it would be a while. I mentioned that I had to pick up kids and I didn't want to leave them out in the cold for too long. He went and got a colleague who was at lunch and asked him to take care of my car. They carefully drove the car in from the parking lot and repaired the tire. They could have insisted that it was beyond repair and made me buy a new one, but instead they noted that it was a new tire and would try their best to repair it. They did it at no charge and in 45 minutes. Bravo!

I went to them for an oil change and came out with new tires. I later found out from my friends over at
Evanston Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
, who know me, that the tires were not necessary. I could have had them rotated, and that would have lasted another 5,000 miles. I was never presented that option with

. You have to ask yourself why. Since the guys at
Evanston Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
do muffler work etc., not tires, I did not think of asking first. That was a mistake. I got pushed into a sale, just to turn a buck sooner than necessary. I won't be going back.

I cannot imagine ever going to a different auto service establishment. To a person, the employees follow
Evanston Tire Shops Provider Name Locked
's example in treating customers as honored and appreciated guests. Each customer is greeted with enthusiasm and warmth. They listen to customers explanations in order to have all of the information necessary to have the work done properly and completely. If there are any problems, they call the customer and explain the situation. They resolve it together. Every effort is made to fit work in, to care for their customers the best that they can. Their prices are more than fair and are reasonable, and their honesty is unquestionable. Every person I've referred to

has remained as a regular customer. What started out as a few toys to entertain young children has evolved to more than a quarter of the generous waiting room. The 'playroom'' is defined, but parents and children can see, talk and play with each other without any concern.

Awesome. They were friendly, fast. The tires cost less then I had last paid. They pointed out I had a bald tire that also needed replaced, that I had forgotten. They had a child play area. I was in/out of there in less than 1hr. I was able to go in before work and still be at work by 830am. Best tire place I have ever been to.
