The group at
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
was great. We stopped by, met with
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
, and selected a remnant for use in our den. We needed 2 pieces - one for a cabinet top and one for a bar. He was extremely helpful.
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
worked with us to determine where the cuts should be placed once the measurements were taken - she even stayed after hours to ensure we could review the template. Installation was a breeze and the quality was great.

Gilmar
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
, one of the owners (and the team) at NewView Marble and Granite (
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
,
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
) went out of their way to make sure we got exactly what we wanted (yes we were very particular!). They was extremely helpful during the selection phase and offered to move every slab so we could see subtle variations and select the specific ones we wanted. They tapped out 2 different slabs so we could see exactly which color veins we were capturing after cutting the center island cooktop hole. 3) the installation was done very professionally and we are 100% satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. My only suggested is that Gilmar communicates the specific installation requirements and details better during face-to-face meetings vs. depending on telephone conversations. Their granite selection was not as large as some other shops, but if they have what you are looking for, their pricing is excellent and their job quality is A1. He even made me a beautiful matching cutting board that match the counters.

Be careful here. Guy is very nice, self-effacing Palestinian. Does not speak best of English and misunderstands sometimes. Was unable to provide a written receipt.
Promised to do work that was not done.
Provided different prices, does not write anything down as a quote. It is all verbal.
Totally jazzed up the backsplash order with Daltile, who are terrible to deal with.
Tried to sell me granite on his lot that had numerous visual swirls, that just amazed him when we pointed it out to him. And he has been in the business for decades. Look real close at the actual piece of granite you buy.
Seems careless.
Ripped up our walls in removing the old countertop, that we then had to fix ourselves.
Not punctual, schedule means nothing to him. When he is ready to go and get it done, he moves quick. He came to our door one morning at 7am without telling us he was going to be there. I work late sometimes, so this was inconvenient and inconsiderate. Further, when he told us to come to the shop to view granite, he was not there. No sense of commitment.
Glad to be done with him. A shame as is a seemingly nice man.
Oh and the showroom on his website is false, he has no showroom. Just a dusty work room with no place to sit down as the two chairs are dirty with likely years of granite dust. Lack of attention to detail.
If price is of prime importance, overshadowing everything else, he may be your man.

and his crew do an excellent job. They work respectfully in the home, arrive on time, and work neatly. This is the second time I used this company. I didn't ask for an estimate because I knew I wanted to hire him. The first job was a fair price and he did not disappoint this time.

Original installation of marble on island countertop was of poor quality with messy seams and even a chipped piece of marble. They came out to correct seams, but where the marble was chipped the correction wasn't very good. The VP of the company suggested they take the marble back to the shop to correct the error and then reinstall. While we had no countertop we decided to redesign the island, so we advised them to sit tight on reinstall. While the original countertop marble was in their possession, it broke. Instead of calling us to tell us this and have us choose new marble, the company chose for us and installed what they chose. It doesn't go well with the other marble in the kitchen. Additionally, they installed this same marble in the powder room with the decorative finish requested, and it also doesn't go well with the colors of that room. I proposed that they refund our money since they couldn't provide the original marble back to us that we already paid for since they broke it; and that they could come get all the marble currently installed, I was told no and he'd see me in court. I was spoken to in a completely disrespectful way and treated in a most unprofessional manner.

On the day when the work was to be done:
Kitchen Floor: Mr.
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
informed me that there was nothing he could do
since what needed to be done was to scrape the floor with a blade since someone
seems to have put some kind of wax which made it dull. He informed me that he
could scrape the floor for an additional $200.00. The kitchen floor is
approximately 10x3 feet. When I asked him that he should deduct what he
was going to charge me originally to do the kitchen floor, he said that he couldn't
because he had already sealed the floor. If he knew that the only thing that
needed to be done was to scrape the floor, why did he give me an estimate
taking into consideration the floor? I did not see him seal the floor.
Bathrooms: He did not use the machine he told me he would use. Instead he had
two of his assistants use a rough sponge to clean the walls and floor. He asked
me for Windex since he had not brought any. If the only thing that he could do
was to use Windex and a sponge, I could have done that. And he should have
warned me.
The second bathroom floor was cleaned the same way. When I pointed out to him
that there were still
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
on the floor he told me that it was part of the
stone. He was right... but, if he knew that there was little he could do
because of the surface of the stone, why didn't he tell me when he gave me the
estimate?
By the way, he also took a roll of paper towels from the kitchen without even
asking.
He requested a $200.00 check for supplies before the day in which the work was
going to be performed. What supplies? I didn't see any supplies other than some grout.
The rest of the money for the work performed, more than $1,000.00 had to be
paid in cash.
As you can see, I made some mistakes... He refused to give me a written
estimate, but, after checking Angie's list and seeing the great reviews he had received I
thought I could trust him. I was wrong.

Installation was great and his people were very friendly and effecent. We required three sheets of granite to do the job and they completed it in one day. We had planned on installing our own blacksplash but after finding out what
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
would charge we decided to let him install the tile we had already purchased. That job was completed in two days
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
came through with his promises on starting date, time and installation and did every thing he could to make us happy.
Would not hesitate to recommend him to others.
.They also were the best price we received so we were very happy with the whole project.

I'm taking the time to review (even though I have two kids under the age of 3 and have my hands full! at the moment!) because the service we had was so great. They took out and redid the grout on the kitchen counter, fixed the loose grout in our powder room and the main work was in our master bathroom. There was rusty and musty looking buildup even though we had it as clean as possible that went to the right and left of our glass shower door. We were even getting little bugs growing in the cracks of the tile and with the cleaning, patching and new grout it is a different place to be now! My husband and I are thrilled with the work.
Last thing,
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
used the other bathroom that I hadn't shown him yet at the end of the job and he saw a few problems that I hand't before and he took it upon himself to fix that for no extra charge. I'm glad I asked him to use that bathroom instead of the other ones he had worked on because his
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
eye saw a few problems that I hadn't.

KUDOS to everyone we dealt with at
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
(
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
and
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
especially) for the excellent customer service we received during our trips to the showroom and getting getting our measuring appointment rescheduled after we goofed up.
We made 3 trips to
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
show room and we were greeted quickly and professionally as they walked us through the process. The first trip we narrowed down our slab selection to our top three, the second trip we came back to finalize our selection and pick our sink and the third time for the layout consultation (which happened to be the first time we saw "our" slab since it was buried on our other visits).
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
went above and beyond to get our appointment rescheduled after we dropped the ball. Her work allowed us to keep our original install date so we could get a functional kitchen back on time. THANK YOU
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
!!!!!!!
Installation went great (about 3 hours) and the seams are nearly invisible.
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
was less expensive than the place our contractor recommended, so we used some of the savings to upgrade to a composite sink and upgraded the
East Peoria Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
to the 3/8 round.
We love our new counter tops and if we ever put stone counters in our bathrooms we will be going back to
