"Everything was great and the company was very responsive at first. Then I met with
for them to create a design" and to give them the down payment of the costs. After that point, the company was unresponsive. The day the work was suppose to start, they were only there for 4 hours and only did about 1/2 of what they were supposed to do. The cabinets that were put in were all incorrect. They were not finished, they were the wrong size and they were not joined together properly. I called
and he sent his guy back out and worked for about another hour. He did not seem happy about having to come back out for the second time. They did a slap happy job and then they left. I contacted
again and came the following week. He had to remove the cabinets, he took one back to his shop to rework. He came back to install them. They still were not joined together properly. I spent hours working on them myself to get them to look presentable. On the first day this company also broke my oven range hood and my oven door. The oven door has been repaired but the oven range hood still has not been replaced. There is a big scratch on my floor when he moved the fridge around. I saw him do this and he said that "it is what it is" and that its there. He sprayed it with polyurethane. I informed him by e-mail that my floor guy looked at it and did an estimate to repair it. At the beginning of this project
stated it would take 1 week and a few days to complete. It has been almost a month and my kitchen is still not finished. Yesterday he installed my hardware. Out of the 10 drawer handles, there was only 1 that was level and centered. Some are off center by an inch or more.
did not even have the courtesy to tell me, I found this out when I came home When I called him about it, he let his assistant answer his cell phone.
seemed as though she did not know what I was talking about. I asked
to have
call me back but he never did. I then sent an e-mail to
, and a 3rd party that asked to be included on these e-mails a long list of everything that was wrong and still needed to be completed.
then responded within 2 minutes saying he would make everything right. Also, when he was taking out the drawers yesterday he laid them on my granite counter tops. He did not
anything down to protect them, so now I have scratches in my granite from the drawer's metal runners. They have also been dirty, leaving messes around my house. This whole experience has been a nightmare.

"The same day that we visited the showroom, the owner planned a visit to our home to do measurements and provide us with his best quote. The quote was comparable" to what we were given at competing businesses. We signed the contract and scheduled our manufacturers consultation (when they measure your countertops by laser to get the exact dimensions) within 48 hours of signing the contract. We purchased quartz countertops and a free standing island. The countertops arrived within 3 weeks of ordering. They were perfectly installed by the manufacturer. The entire process was professional and stress free.

Artificial (quartz) is cheaper, more uniform, has fewer voids to collect dirt, and is almost as abrasion and chip resistant.

Granite is more expensive, stains and collects dirt a little easier as a rule, and is slighly more chip resistant as a rule.

For durability, I would not rate one over the other - barring a 250 lb guy hopping up on it and cracking it, either is likely to outlive you. Selection is typically based on appearance - quartz tends to be more uniform looking and does not always do a good job of simulating the veining and variations that natural stone has.

Now some of the man made stone counters rival the real granite and othe stones without the maintainence of stone. There are many of them out there and it is more a choice of looks than anything else. Corian is still a strong choice of tops today and one advantage is it can be repaired when scratched on site. If you don't mind the maintainence you can't beat the looks of real stone though unless you need a few pieces to make up the top as the graining may be hard to match up. I am impressed though at how realistic some of the man made products have become. It is more an issue of what brand are available in your area. Most all are made the same way with crushed stone and basically an epoxy binder used to make the sheets.

was extremely detailed on what would be done and as we were promised, our marble tile floors look brand new. His employee was very nice, did his work and advised us what to use and not to use on our newly cleaned floors. don't look any further, you want this company to take care of your stone flooring.

General contractor caused a mistake to be made in fitting one of the bathroom counters.
East Peoria Marble And Granite Companies Provider Name Locked
provided another counter at no cost to me or my GC.
- Catherine H.

The work was indifferently good. There were problems, which I pointed out but which they never fixed.

I had made a deposit on some other work to be done, but after this experience, I cancelled it and asked for the return of my deposit. They only returned part of it. Repeated calls to them were responded to by saying they would look into it and get back to me. Needless to say, they never did.

Were it not for the fact that I was in the process of moving out of state when this happened, I would have pursued legal action against them.

These people are bad news. Stay away from them.

They were phenomenal and very easy to work with. They had a great product selection. They even gave us a discount because my mother used them. The price was the same as other companies.

After we purchased our new home, I got several bids for replacement of the granite countertops. Of the 5 bids received,
East Peoria Marble And Granite Companies Provider Name Locked
's was not ony the lowest, but I felt the most comfortable with him. He was very knowledgeable about the choices and installation, was mannerly and efficient, and had a great team in place.
We chose our granite from a warehouse, and it was evident to me that
East Peoria Marble And Granite Companies Provider Name Locked
has a great working relationship with the granite company; he was well-respected. This made us feel even more comfortable with our choice to use
East Peoria Marble And Granite Companies Provider Name Locked
. I ordered the sink, faucet, and water dispenser myself, and
East Peoria Marble And Granite Companies Provider Name Locked
picked up the cutting template for the sink when it arrived. All calls and emails were promptly returned.
On the day of installation, the team was very careful to preserve the tile backsplash, which I didn't want to replace. Although there was no guarantee this would work, they were careful and managed to get the old countertop off without damage. The sink I chose was a VERY heavy French sink, and
East Peoria Marble And Granite Companies Provider Name Locked
's installers spent a couple of hours building in extra supports for the sink to ensure that it would be stable for years to come.

dropped by the jobsite and helped carry in the 2 large slabs of granite, and checked on the work done before and after. The guys did a really nice job caulking as well. My water dispenser had been delayed in shipping, so one of
East Peoria Marble And Granite Companies Provider Name Locked
's team stopped by a week later, and installed it, free of charge.
One other thing I will mention...there was a younger guy on the team, who was obviously newer to the job. He said a curse word (s__t) in front of my 3 small kids during the installation. The team lead,
East Peoria Marble And Granite Companies Provider Name Locked
, reprimanded him before I could even address it, and had him apologize. This is the type of care and professionalism that epitomizes
East Peoria Marble And Granite Companies Provider Name Locked
's team. They were a class act, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

Initial appointment was for the estimate. Cost was a little higher than we expected, but in the end - it was worth it. We were able to schedule the work right away. They had to re-set a few tiles. Those had to cure a few days prior to grinding. Actual grind and polish was scheduled for the next week. Arrived on time and ready to go.
For the 120 SF entry way, they spent approx 5-6 hours on day 1. This included prepping, grinding and polishing. The transformation was amazing!! They came back on day 2 to seal the tile, grout and caulk. That took approx 3 hours.
Excellent experience. Great people to work with. Very professional and helpful.

We have used
East Peoria Marble And Granite Companies Provider Name Locked
for many years. All of their work has been superior and would and will use them again for any and all projects in the future (if they will have us).
About 30 years ago they built a dining room table out of a red marble that today still gets glowing comments from everyone who has dined at it. It is quite beautiful and unique. They have also installed over the number of years pieces of marble for bathroom vanities, dressers etc. In fact, i will be contacting them again soon for more work.
For pricing I checked N/A because we did not even contact another company to compare pricing. Their work and work ethics are such that there is no need to look elsewhere when you are happy with what you know.
If you want a family run business that can work as well if not better than the big boys
East Peoria Marble And Granite Companies Provider Name Locked
is your company.

This is the second kitchen in which
East Peoria Marble And Granite Companies Provider Name Locked
had installed my granite countertops. They are very meticulous about the quality of the installation. Both times, 6 years ago and today, the workers were courteous, cleaned up after themselves and did a great job installing the countertop. The price is very good as well. I would definitely recommend this company.
