"Everything went smoothly, and after 3 appointments, I experienced significantly less pain and stiffness. The office is clean and organized, and the receptionist,
" , is polite and friendly. During my first appointment which involved a brief consultation, Dr.
asked me questions about the nature of my pain, cause of injury, as well as if I had any other problems that he might be able to fix for me, so I mentioned general stress, anxiety, and some tension in my neck, so he selected acupuncture sites to alleviate these as well. He did a great job and inserted needles very skillfully--needles make me a little bit nervous, but I hardly felt it. They played relaxing Chinese music for an hour, then Dr.
returned and removed the needles--again, quickly and accurately with no pain at all. The next morning, I woke up with noticeably less stiffness in my ankle, which had been achy almost every morning for 3-4 years, and felt generally less tense. I have returned for two treatments since, and they have all been wonderful. Dr.
are both informative, helpful and make you feel at home. The treatment rooms are large and warm and the acupuncture beds are comfortable. I have not run into delays here and have never had to wait past my scheduled appointment time.

Many turn to acupuncture as an alternative medicine to aid illness and relieve stress. This treatment is even covered by some insurance companies.

Acupuncture may sound new to some, but the Chinese have practiced this form of alternative medicine for more than 2,000 years to relieve pain and treat a variety of conditions.

If the naturopath also has the MD credential then every plan will cover them. They choose to take insurance or not, all providers have to sign up with insurance plans for reimbursement. Unfortunately if they are a Doctor of Naturopathy, without other medical credentials you will have a difficult time finding coverage. An MD typically goes through 4 years of undergrad, 4 years of Medical school, 3 years of residency and then potentially 2 - 4 years of specialty training on top of that. Not many Naturopaths go through that type of education. MDs also have to work on cadavers, some other health care practitioners do this as well, but not many. Naturopaths offer valuable services. If you have a Naturopath MD in mind, then it is simple because they will have registered with insurance companies to accept payments. They will know what plans they accept payment from. As a pharmacist one of my classmates in addition to a doctorate in pharmacy also had a doctorate in that area. As a pharmacist we are also not covered by most insurance plans to have a "practice" reimbursement. We work on a fee-for-service basis or contract with specific plans or employers to offer their people our services. We work with individuals and provide their providers the information about our consults.

Some naturopaths, dieticians, pharmacists, chiropractors, and acupuncturists work within a physician practice - this is sometimes referred to as an integrated or integrative model. The fee for a naturopath is most often "fee for service."   I hope this helps, best of luck finding the practitioner you are seeking.

It is a painless experience where you

on a bed while she inserts the needles and you just relax for a while and listen to soft music and if desired have heat from a heat lamp at the same time. After my first sessions the pain did not start coming back for a little over 1 yr. It was not nearly as bad as the original pain, but I wanted to

I have been using her for years and I travel 2 hours to see her because she is so wonderful. Luckily I have a step son in the area so I can stay overnight there and receive multiple treatments then. She can work miracles with her skills and techniques. I had been experiencing intense pain in my hips that was preventing me from even brisk walking and after a few treatments I have been pain free! I have and would highly recommend her to anyone.

He is excellent. He is reasonably priced, even though he does not take insurance. He is amazing. He is intuitive with touch and can determine what is wrong with you. He does acupuncture as well.

He's very professional, very caring, explains what he was doing and why he was doing it. I first went to him when I contracted something called Bell's palsy and acupuncture was one of those potential recommended treatments so I went ahead and went to him. It's one of those things that can go away by itself. I actually have had it twice. The first time, it did not but by the time I contacted him, it was probably way too late. I got a quick recovery from the second episode of Bell's palsy. Most recently I've been using him for a year. A couple of years before, I used him but then I stopped for a while and I got the Bell's palsy again and I went back to him. On thing that is absolutely incredible is his reservation system. You go online, you have to pull up a calendar that he has and it will show times available. If you have to cancel, you go online, pull up the calendar, you cancel and reschedule it if you want to. It is so easy. It's incredible reservation system because you do it yourself. There is no question about it. It's all there in black and white and if you have some very specific time, you can also put down. When I'm there, I usually schedule my next appointment, and within minutes, I've got an email with the reservation reminder and then he follows up a couple of days in advance of the reservation. I can cancel anytime.

has recently begun using online scheduling, which makes it very easy to make appointments. Of course, one can make appointments with her the conventional way. She sits down with you and follows-up when you go into the treatment room, taking notes and referring to older notes if need be. Once on the table, she first takes your pulses and looks at your

and then begins treatment. She always has you take a breath and exhale before inserting the needles. She explains everything she is doing. My medical issues are difficult to treat but I have received some relief. If she feels you are not benefitting from treatment, she will ask what you're getting out of it and its up to the patient if they want to continue or discontinue treatment. I have recommended

to my friends and relatives and feel that she is an excellent practitioner.

It is helpful to wear loose, comfortable clothing. Her office is very relaxing and peaceful. She plays music when she leaves the room after the needles are in place. Her office is easily accessible with plenty of parking.

They do a great job. They go over your medical history to find out what is bothering you and they talk to you for as long as you need. I have been 6 or 7 times now and they are always very kind and ask how I'm doing. They ask to see if I have any new problems. They have a sliding scale which is $15-$40 per visit. They also have Groupons every so often which is nice. They also have wonderful leather chairs that recline so you basically just fall asleep while you're there, so it's no stress at all.
