Ceramic Tiling Reviews in Downers Grove

I purchased the big deal for 4 man hours of caulk repair. I went back and forth a few times to schedule the appointment but got something scheduled within 1-2 weeks. They did arrive about 1/2 hr early which wasn't a big deal, would rather have them be early than late. They informed my wife that any addl. labor would be at a charge of $50.00/hr. Once she showed them the master bathroom they explained that caulk wasn't included and we would have to pay for that, which ended up costing an addl. $14.
As far as the work goes they did a great job on the area treated. However, when I was scheduling the appt. I explained that the master bath tub also needed to be re-caulked. when I got home I came to find out they only re-caulked the master shower. their invoice even listed that the master tub was to be re-caulked. I'm not sure why it wasn't done. I would think that 2 guys could have completed that along with the shower in the 2 hrs. that they were there.
Overall a good experience except for the fact that not all work was done. Had I been home instead of my wife I would have made sure they could have gotten the tub caulked as well.

Grout medic cleaned and color sealed all
in my kitchen and bathroom. I liked the owner and the price was right. The person that came to do the job called me in the morning to let me know he didn't think the color we picked was working. He suggested a different color and we trusted him. HE WAS SPOT ON AND SAVED US FROM OURSELVES. The job was done right and looks great. I don't know how long it will last, but so far I feel like it was totally worth doing, and I don't believe anyone would have done a better job than Grout Medic. We are very happy!

He did such a great job. He reviewed his plan and an estimate of how long it would take. He exceeded our expectations.
It was great as he was super efficient with his time, think he was and out in less than 6 hours. It was great too that he was so neat and didn't have to worry about anyone stepping on left over pieces or cleaning up a mess.
Tile looks amazing and even reviewed when and how to start cleaning it after it cured. He honored his estimate and just really trusted him.

I chose these guys because they were real people. During the estimating, they offered ways for me to cut down on some expenses, and talked to/with me, not at me. I was very comfortable with them from the start. And then it started to go downhill. There admittedly was back and forth between what we were going to do, as I was waiting for the insurance to tell us how much they would cover before I was comfortable with a final deliverable listing. After we landed on a set list of deliverables, it was a struggle to get a contract from them to agree to. They wanted to start, yet I had no contract saying what I was agreeing to be done, and how much money I was agreeing to. I also asked for a timeline for the project, and asked multiple times. This is something I never received, instead I received a payment schedule saying once this amount of work is done, you owe X. The timeline is what proved to be the biggest issue with this company. There were a few stretches where people didn't come to our house for either a few days, or sometimes a week. And this is an issue when you are either trying to plan on someone being home for when they are there, or you are leaving your house unlocked. It was difficult to say the least to get a solid understanding of when work would be done and when the project would be completed. After trying to start around mid-June, we finally finished the basement at the end of August. And I believe 100% that it would have gone longer if I had not stayed in contact with them. When the work was completed, I was asked to check it and if it was up to my liking, I should leave the final check. I marked numerous areas where there were significant paint drips, lack of paint coverage, as well as corner bead peeling away from the wall. I left a note with the final check saying that I marked areas that were not really up to the standard I thought I would be getting. I would like them to fix those areas, but would be comfortable just calling it off and I would fix the rest. They left me a note saying they would come back to fix those issues. I waited a week, and heard nothing. So I reached out and said I will just fix it. They responded saying that they in fact would come back out, and would be at our house at the start of this week. It is now Thursday, no one has come to our house nor has anyone contacted me. Story of this experience. I will just fix it myself at this point. Their work is pretty decent overall. Their communication and timeframe to finish your work is awful. I felt our house would never get done unless I just cut them off and finished it myself (which I ended up offering - payment will stop where it is and we will finish the job - this got them to respond). They are nice guys, owner and workers, but not a company I would recommend for getting work done. Just too little communication and urgency to get your project completed.

I had a serious problem when my bathroom shower stall began to literally crumble off the wall from an underlying problem that was not visible for quite a long time.
Downers Grove Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
came in to assess the damage, and took the time to dig deeper to find I had water damage from seepage that had been continuous over 6 or 7 years after faulty roof repairs were made. Cold weather was on the way and rotted joists underneath my tub were threatening to give way underneath my bath tub which is on one of the exterior walls of the house.
Downers Grove Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
understood my dilemma and replaced the joists repairing the structural damage and with one day. Once the structural work was done and the exterior wall was replaced, the owner

worked with me personally to select new fixtures, tile and decorative touches to remodel the entire bathroom at a very economical cost. My bathroom looks great and I especially love the recessed box of glass tile where I can store all my shampoos and soaps.

They are absolutely amazing! They're great with suggestions! Their staff is wonderful! They are also great at identifying certain woods. They have a sample room for upholstery to pick stuff out from, which I did!

The whole job went fantastic. Slight delay due to trading voice messages but overall good communication through out.

finished the initail steps of removing and replacing bad grout areas, he cleaned up the area very well and then we agreed on when he would come back to finish staining.
Staining took only a short time and after inspection the work I gladly wrote the check.A few days later we saw one small spot (about one inch of grout) that didn't take the stain well and called

for advice. He returned the next day and re-worked the spot by grinding and re-grouting etc.
The floor turned out great!

We contracted with Pyramid to do a complete gut/remodel of our only full bath. To say it was in bad shape is an understatement. We had had an awful experience with another contractor last year that stiffed us. We were very cautious and interviewed 6-7 outfits. We chose Pyramid for a variety of reasons - they were not the highest and they weren't the lowest. They use "allowances" (so we didn't actually pay them 12,000...every situation is different I would imagine) which I wasn't crazy about, but in the end it was very good for us as we found excellent deals on

products we picked out (knowing a

employee helps). The salesman was very detailed in all of his explanations and the processes involved and understood my paranoia in thinking everyone is a crook and not trusting anyone. They gutted entire bath, removed old cast iron tub, mortared in new tub, insulation, ceilings, exhaust fan, replace block window with double hung vinyl, installed new flooring, wall tile, floor tile, shower head with a diverter for a hand-held shower as well, vanity, top, mirror, new closet door, shelving, painting, canned lights, sconces, etc. We had
Downers Grove Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
(and a helper or two on some days) handle the entire project and he was excellent. Very meticulous, detailed, NEAT, awesome tile work, he did it all. Even the painting - no other subs or anything. He was excellent at it all. When he cleaned up every day, you would never have known he had been here. He rehung our door so that we could let our cats out of the spare bedroom each night. The job took about 12 days (he worked a full weekend in there). Since the salesman disappears after the sale, it was nice to then have
Downers Grove Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
, their office manager, to touch base with and he was always asking how things were going and if we were satisfied. This was partly because I was a wreck in the beginning thinking everyone was a crook. It turned out fine that the salesman disappeared - in reality he's not needed - I just was

to believe otherwise.

's always available. If you choose Pyramid for a bath remodel, I would ask for
