Business Description: Dr. Krichavsky is an attending cardiologist in the Division of Cardiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, member of the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. After completing medical school at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Krichavsky completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital, followed by cardiology fellowship at Boston Medical Center. He completed two additional advanced cardiovascular fellowships at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, one of the primary teaching hospitals of Harvard Medical School. One year was focused on interventional cardiology and coronary artery revascularization. A second advanced sub-specialty training year was dedicated to vascular medicine, peripheral vascular interventions, and structural heart disease interventions. Dr. Krichavsky is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Endovascular Peripheral Interventions, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, and Internal Medicine. His clinical interests include coronary, carotid, renal, upper extremity, and lower extremity angioplasty and stenting, vascular medicine, percutaneous valve therapy, closure of patent foramen ovale and atrial septal defects, percutaneous ventricular assist devices, catheter directed arterial and venous thrombolysis, and inferior vena cava filters. In addition to performing procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, he serves as an attending physician on the Coronary Care Unit (CCU), In-patient Cardiology, and Cardiology Consultation services at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. A fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and Society of Cardiac Angiography and Intervention, and member of the American Heart Association, and Society of Vascular Medicine, Dr. Krichavsky has authored multiple peer reviewed journal articles, reviews, and the chapter on interventional cardiology in the Essential Atlas of Cardiovascular Disease.
