Aurora Veterinarians Reviews

"I have received great service from this veterinary hospital - from front end checking in, vet services and checking out. The waiting room and exam rooms are clean and ready for the next "patient". I let the staff know that my cats get high strung with the vet visit and they quickly provide an exam room or will put them in the office until an exam room is ready. Waiting time is generally less than five minutes and more often I have an immediate assignment to an examination room after checking in. I have found the vet there compassionate when needed. He will take time to discuss any questions or concerns and explain the issues and treatment from home. Options have been provided as well as costs for the prescribed treatments. "

wanted to do a blood test - I had previously told the receptionist that I did not care to have Dr
Aurora Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
touch my cat, preferred to use his wife as my primary vet - he handles animals like they are cattle and is very

with them, and my cat clearly did not like him. However, he was the only vet there the day I had to bring my cat in - so despite my reservations, I let him see my cat. After multiple attempts to draw blood - my cat was crying and screaming - and of course my heart was breaking - I could hear them trying to restrain her, and put her in some type of rubber containment suit (found that out later). It became obvious my cat was in extreme distress - I finally got someone's attention and told them to stop immediately - I was shaking I was so angry - it was obvious to me they'd taken it WAY too far and were actually abusing my cat. When I got her home - she was limping and terrorized - she slunk away to a far corner and stayed there for 36 hours. I was afraid she was going to die. I will NEVER let any animal I own go anywhere near Dr
Aurora Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
- he should really be exposed for the sadist he is. I advise you to never take your animals to Dr

. And by the way - they never did get the blood drawn, nor did I ever receive any kind of apology. It's a shame, because all the other people in the office were wonderful, as is his wife who is also a vet.
"Unfortunately, Spanky died on 9/25/08 because his condition was too severe, but
Aurora Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
did everything they could and them some. We received a sympathy card from the 3 doctors and 3 ICU nurses, who cared for him, and they each wrote a paragraph based on their 5 days of knowing Spanky. It was very clear to us that they cared as much for our pet as we did and they were visibly upset when he died. If you want a vet that cares for your dog like you do, use
Aurora Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
as your regular vet and definitely for any emergency services. They also have doctors specializing in different areas like Internal Medicine, etc. I cannot say enough positive things about this facility and their staff. Had Spanky survived, we were going to switch from our regular vet to someone at

. BTW, buy pet insurance regardless of what Vet you use. It can save you lots of money. The $5000 we spent was fair for what was done but, lets face it, having insurance sure would have been a help!
"They were very helpful. I have been using them for a long time, and they did a great job on this last surgery. They answered all of my questions, told me what they going to do, and what I had to do. They gave me an estimate and it turned out to be extremely accurate. They are experienced surgeons."
"This vet seems to be really caring. I called several different places about this and they were the only one that even asked me why I wanted to do this. Everyone else just gave me a price as if they were not even concerned. I have a cat now and I use them all the time for her. I take her in when she is sick and pick up meds and things for her. I am not sure about charges. I do get a senior discount. I have lots of strays and they usually give me a break when I bring them in. They are really nice and very good."
"The appointment went well enough, but, as I have already said, this was an expensive trip to the vets for something that shouldn't have been. I have had my dogs ears treated and examined before and it has never cost this much money. The vets really should ask if you want a physical examination done not just come in and do one and cheaper alternative should be discussed

than just selling you something.
"We have been at
Aurora Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
since 1980. They have helped us care for 6 dogs & 5 cats. We have seen various doctors and have been accomodated to follow up with a certain vet for continuity of care in one case. We have had serious situations that required the vets to go above and beyond and they came through for us. We will be moving later this year and I will surely miss

About cost: Why does anyone think thier bill is too high? As an example I mention the $93.00 visit that included new puppy info and counsel, examination and shots. The lady was with the Vet at least 30 to 45 minutes. Initial visits take a long time. Surgery bills of only a few hundred dollars are outstandingly inexpensive. Vets have the same college loans that your accountant has, how much would he charge for his time? Veterinary care is so inexpensive because the Vets want to do this work and care about the welfare of animals. Vet care is a BARGAIN! Thanks Vets
"Overall, we've been very pleased with the level of care for both of our dogs. In addition to our dog who has a medical problem, we also have a new dog, who was adopted from a shelter. He was physically healthy upon check-up but had some slight behavioral issues. We consulted our vet about how to best help our new dog adjust to life in a loving home, potty training an adult dog, etc. She was very helpful in helping us get our new dog adjusted to life and also recommending training locations in order to help build our bond to the dog. Even though training isn't a veterinary car item, she was helpful in hearing our concerns and suggesting options for us to explore."
"I am proud to recommend the animal hospital. I can not express in words how happy I am that I am able to take my pets to dr. Eganhouse. He does an excellent job and the prices are very reasonable. Taking my pets to him is easy and reassuring. It''s hard when you don't have a good vet. He''s an excellent vet."
"We had seen other vets before (and they were all fine), but Dr
Aurora Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
seemed to truly care about our dog and his care. He took the time to discuss our questions and concerns and thoroughly check our guy out. He got right down to the dog's level instead of forcing our big guy (75 lbs) up onto a table. We went there on the advice of a co-worker and couldn't be happier that we did!
It can take a little while to get an appointment - they seem to be busy!
