is an engineer to be highly recommended. He is a complete professional; thorough and very knowledgeable. My first call was answered promptly by
and an appointment was booked around my schedule.
arrived on time, was very courteous and professional, not rushed and with a very calming persona.
After a thorough examination of the interior and exterior of my home,
inspected the attic - the problem was found.
I believe if not for
's thorough and knowledgeable inspection...expensive foundation work may have begun, when the problem was in the attic.
took an audio/video of the problem which I was able to view immediately. What a comfort, especially with such a potentially expensive repair, to work with an engineer you can trust. Do not hesitate to use

I called the ofice and needed this to be set up quickly. This was not a problem. Mr.
was on time, very professional and explained everything to me on my level. He was very thorough in explaining the reasons for the cracking (not just that yes, you have cracks and that it is okay, no worries). He let me know about the cycles of dryness and wet that affect the foundation of the garage and what to do to keep this more even (downspouts and the roots of the near-by tree).
I am not concerned about this issue on my potential house. He has explained the issue and has told me how to monitor it in the future.
I am very pleased and would highly recommend Mr.

17 year old compressor stopped working during a 100 degree week of hot weather in

. They gave us a quote on a Monday - compressor was installed on a Wednesday. Really nice guy professional. Thanks for the great work - would recommend them to anyone. A friend from the Nevada Air Guard referred this company to us - glad we followed his direction!

Work was done on time and on target although we had to include a change order once we took some of the drywall down which revealed we likely needed 2 additional anchors. They had no problem with the additional work.

I had a foundation repair specialist look at my home 2 years ago and he recommended that I get a structural engineer to inspect it first before repairing the brick fascia. The brick fascia needs to be pinned back to the frame of the house and the brick and mortar repaired. I live on a pond and have 11 or 12 piers under my foundation, 7 of which had to be adjusted a few years ago. There is some question as to how many more, if any, piers may be needed or if any need to be adjusted, or if the foundation is stable and if the additional shifting is due to the brick fascia pulling away from the frame of the home. I don't want to pay for the brick repair only to have it crack again. Hence, the need for a 3rd party to perform the inspection.
I had already gone to

took my call right away and was very professional and friendly. He agreed that a structural engineer was needed and apologized about how there are not enough structural engineering firms in the area and that, while he does handle residential as well as commercial projects, he is presently scheduling several months in advance due to large bridge projects. So, he gave me the name and number of another engineering firm. That firm is scheduled several weeks in advance. Busy and booked, in my opinion, is a good thing. So, while I did not use this company, I wanted to at least add that they were very helpful pointing me in the right direction and might consider them in the future, if their services are needed.

Prior to closing on our house, Pinnacle came out and inspected some concerns we had about possible structural issues in the garage with a large support beam and the second floor flooring above the beam. No issues were found, thankfully, but the services were very much appreciated in moving forward with purchasing our home.

Overall, the project went well. The engineer at
Arlington Heights Structural Engineers Provider Name Locked
readily agreed to clarify some of the language in the report along with providing additional expert opinion when the scope of work needed adjustment.

I cannot comment on his work as he never responded to my numerous attempts to reach him. I sent him multiple emails through angie's list for the past 3 weeks without a response. Either he is extremely busy, hasn't got my correspondences, or something else has happened. Needless to say, If a business will not respond to someone trying to obtain their services, it's scary to think what kind of services they will perform once they obtain it.

arrived on Friday with one helper and removed all the old insulation, debris and rodent droppings from the attic. They arrived on time Monday morning and spent the better part of the day cleaning, sanitizing and sealing air leaks in the ceiling and then installed 15 " of blown in fiberglass insulation. They were on time both Friday and Monday and worked late on Monday to complete the job. I was lucky as I had attic access from the garage so they didn't have to run their hoses through the house. I received other estimates for this work and the other companies just went up and looked around from the top of the attic stairs and agreed I needed new insulation. One company (Champion) never sent me a bid for the work and another said just to spray over the existing mess. Home Depot would not remove the old insulation.

took the time to climb around in the attic and look around to really see what needed to be done and made recommendations on what would work best from me. He broke down his estimate so that I could see what different depths of insulation would cost, sanitizing, air gap sealing, attic stairway sealing and of course the removal part would cost. If I need any additional energy audits or other work that

does I would not hesitate to use them again. Although he was not the cheapest estimate the old saying is you get what you pay for and I got what I wanted at a reasonable prices.

did an amazing job! He created our plans in record time and even worked VERY late into the evening to help us accommodate our timeframe (the house was in escrow to be sold so the timing was frighteningly short!).
