"Since 2010, my husband and I have purchased over $6,713.90 fromhe
Home store in Jacksonville, North
. We began purchasing" all of our furniture from
beginning on
10, 2010. We purchased a king sleigh bed, dresser, king mattress, reclining chair, sofa, two end tables, storage cocktail table, painting, and multiple home accessories. On January 02, 2012, I put the DB Reclove/ Con/ Frontier/ Canyon #8860294 reclining loveseat on layaway. Our last payment for the loveseat sofa was made on August 03, 2013 and I contacted the store to set up a delivery. To our surprise, the salesman lied to us about being able to deliver to Martinsburg, West Virginia. During the phone call, I tried to set up delivery to the local Hagerstown, Maryland or
, Maryland
Home stores and was declined. In August 2013, I informed the staff to go ahead and order the sofa. Then I would travel down to pick the furniture up in my truck since store to store delivery was not allowed. When I called back to confirm pickup I was informed the loveseat sofa order had been cancelled without my authorization. This is when I developed the in-store credit of $977.38. To be precise,
actually owes me more than the $977.38 stated because the store is not taking into account the 5 year GBS premium combo protection plan and delivery charge that we paid for and also never received or used having a grand total of $1052.96 not $977.38 the store is claiming. After the in-store credit was established, I contacted the Jacksonville
store staff to have my credit balance transferred to the local Maryland
stores. I was once again informed such transaction was not allowed. I contacted the
store multiple times in 2013 trying to resolve this matter and could not get a phone call in return from the store manager,
Kitko. I called and tried getting in touch with him on 08/03/13, three times on 08/13/13, 09/23/13, and 09/24/13. At 1120 on 08/13/15, I called the Jacksonville, NC
store to confirm my in-store credit balance before traveling down on 08/15/15 to pick up items and use my in-store credit. I was informed by
that my available credit balance was $977.38. After hanging up approximately 10 minutes later, I received a phone call back from
informing me that the accounting department will not allow me to use my in-store credit because they have new ownership. I asked
when the new ownership took over and she said June 2014.

, “why wasn’t I notified of any expiration date, why wasn’t I notified of the new ownership that would affect my account, and why did I never receive any documentation?” Ms.
did not have an adequate answer for any of these questions stated above. Ms.
informed me that Lent Corporation was the previous owner and to email cagroup@ashleyfurniture.com or call 1-800-477-2222 ext. 0. On 08/13/15 at 1235, I was told by the retail credit employee to call
, the Assistant Credit Manager at 608-323-6452. I did twice and did not receive a call back on 08/13/15. Mr.
began ownership of Jacksonville, NC
Home store in June 2014 and had an agreement of credit with the corporate office; however, as a valued customer with an in-store credit balance I was NEVER notified by either party. After searching online for help desk numbers I found another extension to call. At 1245 on 08/13/15, once again I called 1-800-477-222 ext. 5013. This extension is for
Consumer Affairs and was given the new and old owner’s information. Also, I was informed I needed to call the Jacksonville, NC Chamber of Commerce for
’s new contact information. On 08/13/15 at 1257 I called 866-864-0118 and spoke with

because “no control over last owner, manager has to look at it, email phots@ashleygreenville.com, subject line: my name describe and contact information” (which I did). From numerous
Home store employees throughout the day on 08/13/15, I was told, “…even with new ownership this money was already paid for…” Yes, I paid that money and NEVER received my product, reimbursement, or other products in the amount of my balance!! On 08/13/15, I called
in Jacksonville, NC again and asked to speak with the current manager,
Kitko. I was told by
that Mr. Kitko was out of the office on vacation and wasn’t due back until Saturday, 08/15/15. At 1414, I called Mr.
Broach at 1-866-864-0118 and
told me Mr.

also stated, “Mr.

’s office and spoke with
again whom told me this time that Mr.
is in the warehouse and he would call me back asap (I’m still waiting on both of those phone calls from Mr.
and it is now 08/31/15). On 08/13/15 at 1533, I called

answered the phone at 1635 on 08/13/15. I explained to Mr.
my current situation with his Jacksonville, NC
store and he took my name, phone number, and told me he would have someone or himself call me back tomorrow (08/14/15) after he looks into it but he understands. Around 1100 on 08/14/15, I received a phone call from
stating, “The Jacksonville
will honor your in-store credit. Please come to the customer service desk when you arrive on Saturday”. I asked Ms.
to please send what she just told me in an email to bmanns68@gmail.com at 1112 on 08/14/15, I received the following email: “Mrs. Jackanicz, Per our Accounting Department,
of Jacksonville will be honoring the $977.38 in store credit from the cancelled layaway. Please see
Kitko at the customer service counter when you arrive on Saturday so that he can assist you. Thank You!!
| Lead Customer Service Representative”. After hearing this news, I was happy and began traveling from
, Maryland to Jacksonville, North
. I arrived at the
store in Jacksonville, NC on 08/15/15 at noon. I immediately went to the customer service desk and was told to wait while they notified the manager,
Kitko that I was there. Mr. Kitko and I sat down and he apologized about my current frustration with the store. I told him I can quickly look around and will pick out items that add up to the $977.38 balance so I could be on my way. At 1215, Mr. Kitko showed me the email he received from

Industries corporate office I continuously hear the “big umbrella” explanation. From numerous
Furniture store employees throughout the day on 08/13/15, I was told, “…even with new ownership this money was already paid for…” Yes, I paid that money and NEVER received my product, reimbursement, or other products in the amount of my balance! As of today 08/31/15, I still have not received a phone call or email from the CEO, store mangers, Distribution Managers, Corporate office consumer affairs, or Jacksonville Consumer Affairs office. The Jacksonville
has new ownership and they are illegally withholding my in-store credit balance I received because they didn't deliver my initial loveseat order. The initial loveseat order was also cancelled by a staff member that I did not authorize. The bottom line is we paid
$1052.96 for the #8860294 DB Reclove/ Con/ Frontier/ Canyon loveseat ($804.98) with a 5 year GBS premium combo protection plan ($69.99), a delivery charge ($99.99, sales tax $78.00) that was never received which turned into an in-store credit. We were never notified that the in-store credit would be lost if not used within one calendar year nor did we sign such agreement.

I bought a King size Serta icomfort bed a little over 3 years ago. With it I bought the Serta Motion Perfect Adjustable Foundation which is apparently made by
Arlington Heights Furniture Stores Provider Name Locked
. Frankly, if I have realized at the time I bought the bed that the base was not made by Serta, I might not have bought it and now that I have dealt with them, I absolutely will never buy anything from them again. Several weeks ago the foundation stopped working. The head gets stuck in the upright position. I called the company that manufactures the bed and their first response was it is out of warranty (apparently at 3 years - of course). I told them to send a repair man and I would pay for it. The repair man has been here twice. He was actually nice enough and listened to what my problem was. He replaced a part. I paid for his time and for shipping/handling on the part and the bed is right now as I type this stuck in the upright position AGAIN. I have tried flipping switches and plugging into different outlets and nothing works. This was a very expensive bed and base to only have it work for a little over 3 years. I basically consider that I threw over 5K in the trash as I am now looking to replace this set because of this issue. I have talked to the same woman on the phone at Ergomatic when I have called. She had me crawling all under the bed trying to get me to fix it myself. She will not listen to what I tell her. I am so frustrated I dread ever having to deal with her again as she is impossible to deal with. I now feel I am left with no choice but to make a complaint here. I don't want any other customer to experience the frustration I am having dealing with them.

looking for a dining table. Found what we were looking for but were told that it has already been sold. Salesperson said they could order another one and would take about 2 weeks to get in. We agreed and put a $400.00 deposit down. Called back afte 2 weeks and was told had not been recieved and would take 4 to 6 weeks. After 7 weeks I demanded return of deposit. The 2 men that delivered the furniture did not look like any movers I have ever seen. That is a good thing though. They were very clean and well groomed. If you saw them on the street you wouldn't even think they delivered furniture for a living. Unlike the delivery people from Nebraska Furniture Mart. I had a few bad experiences with them and will never go back.

First of all when you enter their establishment you are not hawked or stalked by a salesman. We shopped quite awhile until we found what we were looking for. When we were ready to talk to a salesperson I flagged the first one I saw and that was a young man names

We bought the furniture on
Arlington Heights Furniture Stores Provider Name Locked
4th , 2015. We said we would wait a couple of weeks for all the pieces to come in at one time and then have them all delivered. We waited another week because some of the pieces weren't available. Then finally we said bring the pieces you have and we will wait on the rest. We ordered a couch, two end tables and a coffee table. Sounds
Arlington Heights Furniture Stores Provider Name Locked
right????? We ordered the rocker/recliner loveseat. The frame was bent. They said they would bring a new one and the delivery man said that they did bring a new one but it would be easier for them to just replace one side instead of getting everything in and out of the door. Okay. Then they called and said our end table was ready at the warehouse and we had to pick it up or it would be another 99.00 for delivery. (My son took the call and didn't know any better so he went and picked it up.) At the warehouse they gave him a box that they literally dropped in the back of his pickup from the dock about 3 feet. So I called
Arlington Heights Furniture Stores Provider Name Locked
and they apologized again, (they are good at that) and asked them when they would send someone out to put the table together. So we waited a couple of 3 days before that happened. We have been promised a replacement for our cracked coffee table since
Arlington Heights Furniture Stores Provider Name Locked
4th. It either gets to the warehouse "in pieces from the boat over here" or now today they delivered a white pine table that is totally different that ours. I told them when they called yesterday that I can't have it delivered because no one would be there and they said they were sorry (told you they apologize a lot) but it was on their truck and they can't get it off. I said I though I had 24 hours which would have been exactly 24 hours when they called. No they couldn't do that. My husband took off work to be home (loss of money) and then they bring the wrong table. I called the manager"
Arlington Heights Furniture Stores Provider Name Locked
", and he assures me that my next purchase he will personally take care of me. I said there will be no "next" purchase. He apologized again said there wasn't anything else he could do as he talked to "everyone" and they said there was nothing he could do. I am also contacting the BBB because this behavior is unacceptable and for a business this is terrible customer service.
