"Returning from a conference, I had 5 suits, and several other garments to be cleaned. I had used
's in
, but" they have closed. I thought I would try
as I communte on 248 everyday. I came in, and placed two bags on the counter. A woman came out and took one of the bags. She promptly dumped the bag of suits onto the floor. Keep in mind, there are still 2 feet of snow on the ground, and road salt and grime is everywhere. She then picks up the individual garments to count them. Each one comes off the floor covered with salt and cinders, which had been carried into the store on people's shoes. I was agast. As she grabbed the second bag, I asked "Can you please not..." Before I could finish my request to keep the rest of the clothes off the floor, she dumped the second bag onto the salty, dirty, grimy floor. More salt covered clothes. She gave me a receipt and said, "Wednesday, Wednesday." There was a family picture on the wall, next to the cash
. The woman taking my clothes was one of the people in the photo. I am guessing she was the owner, or part owner. One would hope that people in the dry cleaning bussiness would have a reverence for clothes. This does not seem to be the case at
. The fact that people, in leadership positions, throw mens suits on a salty, grimy floor, makes me wonder what level of commitment the hourly workers would show to my clothes. Also, if they throw clothes on a salty floor right in front of you. what would they do in the back? I will be trying someone else next week.

"I took 2 new work shirts to
to be dry cleaned. When I went to pick them up, the manager,
, informed me that one of" the sleeves was torn at the seam. I hadn't noticed a torn sleeve when I tried the shirts on originally, but it's possible that there was a loose thread that had come undone during the cleaning process. Regardless of how it happened,
had sewn it back together for me knowing that I needed my shirts on that day, told me there would be no charge for the cleaning and to bring the shirt back at my convenience so she could have the shirt mended properly at her expense. I don't have the need for dry cleaning very often, but when I do in the future, I will use
because of how professionally this incident was handled.

Dry Cleaning reviews in Alton

we've used this cleaners for seven years. Nothing but problems. Pick up and delivery from a Gold Coast building. Autopay with credit card. We did not receive our cleaning the past two drop offs so I called this morning.
Before I could even tell them who I was they said my name. Cell phone to cell phone; pretty clear they had my number. They said they didn't have my phone numbers. They said their delivery man tried to call from my building lobby. 24/7 doorperson and who calls me several times each and every day. Very secure building.
My credit card had a security breach in February so I have a new number.

needed the new number. After thousands and thousands of dollars of business over the years and they clearly know where I live, on the lake, they wouldn't release one week of dry cleaning without payment? And they say they don't have a phone number for me?
I will never send our $400 shirts, $3,000 men's suits, formal wear or anything else to them again. Today is the last day.
I'd even venture to guess my credit card may have been breached at this very unprofessional business. Based on what happened today it seems very likely.

The lst time I went to drop of clothes, the establishment was closed for good. The address was 1001 Broadway, San

, CA 92101. There was an eviction notice on door; they also had their own note on door that clothes could be picked up at Seventh Avenue Cleaners with address provided.
I am wondering if they have relocated. I have been searching the web, but no luck so far. Does anybody know if they re-opened?
I know they had some bad reviews, but I went many, many times and had wonderful service -- both in cleaning, pressing and customer service.

I took a jacket and a pair of pants for alterations at this Dry Cleaner. Had the jacket pre-pinned to the proper length. The gentleman/owner discussed matching the pattern on the sleeve once it was shortened. I said if they could do it that would be great, but it looked like it would be difficult, or not possible. He measured the length of the pants. I noticed he was giving them a "break", like in a men's dress pants. I told him these were the shoes I would be wearing, and I did not want the length to be too long. He said "this is the correct length!" and I believed he knew what he was doing, and it would be fine. I never had a problem with pant length in any past alterations elsewhere.
When I picked up my jacket and got home, I noticed the sleeve looked like it was given a rush job. No matching of the pattern, and I could see a visible hole where the button once was. When I tried it on, the sleeve did not move properly. It was bunching up and getting stuck on something each time I moved. I could see the excess fabric folded inside the lining. It was improperly re-attached and the buttons were sewn through all layers of fabric, creating a problem. The garment was unwearable. It looked like an amateur did the work, not a true professional.
I brought the garment back to show the owner, and ask for it to be re-done. He argued with me and barked “That's how sleeves are done!” I was shocked. I showed him another jacket, but he would not re-do it or give me my money back. In addition, the pants were hemmed way too long for me. A break at the hem is proper for men's dress pants, but not for women's. The length would only work for 3-4 inch heels, which are not the kind of shoes I can wear.
I wasted my money. I will not go back to this place. I had to take the jacket elsewhere to be fixed, and had to pay AGAIN. I have since found reviews on another website that others had similar negative experiences with

I found a provider for dry cleaning, there was one in

and it was

. I would rate it average, nothing out of the ordinary. The cost was average, it was nothing out of the ordinary either but it has been a while since. I guess I really wouldn't recommend it. I think that they send everything off of the site, they are not actually doing it there. They collect it and send it out somewhere and that is what I didn't like.

I have used

since 2012 to launder all my bulk laundry. I run a house rental and have weekly renters. As such, I need ten sets of sheets cleaned every week.
Their company has been such a gift to me! I am on their route delivery so I simply leave my bags out at my front door. They pick them up, clean them and drop them back off at my house. So easy! On occasion, I'll drop my bags off to one of their locations (Michigan Street,
Alton Dry Cleaners Provider Name Locked
Street or 28th Street) As soon as I step in the door, they immediately seem to know which business they are for…and sometimes I've never seen the person behind the counter! Shows that they take the time to get to know their customers. I can also call the owner on his cell phone when there's an immediate need or question and he's always prompt and professional. They really make it easy for me and I wouldn't think of using any other company to do my laundry.
I've also been impressed with their ability to dry clean and get stains out without harming the garment. I recommended them to my parents recently who had been using another company (their logo is a bow tie) without great results. (They would often complain to me that they took something in to get cleaned and either the stain wasn't removed or the garment was damaged or they would simply say they couldn't get the stain out (without even trying) without damaging the garment. So, they tried CC and were most impressed that the garment came back in excellent condition and stain free!

I was told it could take up to a week, it was done in two days and they called to let me know it was ready. Very pleasant to deal with. They had previously dry cleaned a queen size for me, excellent job getting it clean!

.I visited the establishment on 2/24/15 and dropped off 17 different articles of clothing.
The price came out to $110.56. I was astounded by the cost, but figured it would be worth. So I paid in full via CC.
The woman at the desk advised that I could pick the garments up on 2/26/15. (Normal 2 day turnaround)
My wife arrived there late afternoon on 2/26/15, only to find that they were not there nor completed. She explained
they were a little backed up at the wash plant. She informed my wife that they would be ready "first thing
in the morning". (No biggie, things happen. I didn't need my suit until 3/1/15 - I had a formal affair at work to attend.)
I arrived on 2/27/15, "first thing in the morning." I actually followed the woman into the store as she was opening. 7AM.
She was frustrated that someone had parked in her parking spot and vented a little. I asked about my clothes and she said said they weren't done yet & for me to try back in the afternoon. (Pretty

'd at this point that the womans attitudefrom the parking spot somewhat rubbed off in our conversation.) I worked late that day, 2/27/15, because I was late arriving to work after stopping by the cleaners in the morning. The cleaners was closed by the time I got off.
My wife checked the cleaners again on 2/28/15. STILL no garments back from the wash. (I'm super ticked at this point, hearing that my suit isn't there and I'll have to find something else to wear for my Formal Affair at work.)
A guy was there this time and he took my wife's name and number down. He said he would call IF they came in later that day. (2/28/15). No call was made.
3/2/15 - I arrive at the cleaners to find 15 out of 17 garments are there. The guy says 2 are still at the wash & he's not sure when they will be in. He had my receipt taped on the computer and admitted that he was supposed to call me, but it must have "slipped his mind".
My 15 garments are stuffed into a 2 plastic bags. I expected them to be individually wrapped. Clean and neat. If not all, at
least my suit and ties. This was not the case. I was also informed that
I was charged $12 for the Ball Gown to be washed, and it should have
been $22.
I get home and unwrap my clothes, only to find they they
STINK. They smell of cigarettes - neither I or my wife smokes, nor have
we been around smoke in the garments. This is downright ridiculous.
I expect a call and a solution to this matter in a timely fashion.
