Friendly right from the initial contact. Called me back with pricing and answered all my questions. Set up the tech to come out to my house at my convenience. Tech was very thorough and patient while teaching me to use the system. Showed me all the features until I was comfortable with using all of them.

The install and set up went just fine. The components are up-to-date as well as wireless and they work as advertised. You do get wrapped into a 3 year contract for them to install the system for free and the monthly monitoring fee is a bit pricey. There is no option to downgrade the monitoring or the system so you are stuck with what you sign up for. Additionally, there are some issues with the mobile app and PHT's geo-fencing feature not working as it is supposed to. All-in-all, the company is fine and the products and services are as advertised, just be prepared to commit for the long term.

Home Security System reviews in Twin Falls

Here's an email I sent PHT on 5/5/2014 that went unanswered: SUBJ: Today I was informed by Monotronics Tech Support that the promise made by your PHT salesman, Daran

in Oct 2012 was INVALID and I am submitting a formal complaint. I previously had an ADP alarm system and it expired in 2012. All ADP sensor devices remained in my home, window and door sensors. I told your salesman during the sale process, Daran

that I wanted a wireless monitor device and one motion detector which he agreed to. Also, I told him that the window and door sensors left over from ADP were over 3 years old, and we should replace the batteries. Since this was a new contract, shouldn?t new batteries be installed? Mr

said he would replace the batteries free of charge when they required it. His word was his promise, nothing was ever written in the contract. Today when I call Monotronics Tech Support, I was told they would charge me to replace the batteries or I could replace them myself. I tried calling your PHT customer service desk this afternoon around 4:00 to

Cell 210 365-1899 PS: Also, where does it state in the contract that you can raise my monthly fees? I agreed to $40.99 per month on the contract and now your fees are over $45 a month. End of email/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Monitronics (affiliated with PHT) did come over and repaired the two broken sensors for free after I complained about above but have not replaced my old sensor batteries yet.

The sales reps were great but technicians not so much had to come to my house several times because items weren't compatable with my home. When i called customer service they made promises they didnt keep when they came back to the house resulting in more money. The service is good the owner of the techs is not so customer focused be careful.

Installation took a little longer than expected, but provided an upgrade to our old system. Everything ended up great, and less cost per month than our old system.

TL;DR: don't engage

services if you value your money and your safety. Paying off the remainder of my contract is totally worth it to know that my family is protected and that my money goes to people who actually give two sh*ts about their job and their customers.

we've had outstanding service for more than a year, now. However, the back-up battery in the main unit only lasted about 24 hours when we had a long term power outage. We had a malfunctioning smoke detector recently, and they quickly replaced the unit (although we DID have to pay for the service call).

The installation tech was very professional and knowledgeable. They installed a wireless, cellular based system. This included a smoke detector/alarm that goes directly to the monitoring service and local fire department, contacts for the windows/doors, IR motion sensor, an integrated thermostat and 2 GE

XTi LCD touchscreen control panels. All equipment was FREE (ADT wanted to charge $999 for similar equipment). I am able to control the thermostat and monitor the alarm system from a PC or smartphone. I also have the ability to add light switches and door locks that can be operated remotely. I've only had 2 issues with the control panels in the last 2 yrs and they were able to resolve them both times quickly and correctly.

A little bumpy start, had to have the install guy come back to fix things/change out the thermostats etc but they worked with us until it was all installed and working well and it's a great system! Once installed over two years ago, we have not had any problems. We can arm/disarm the alarm, check arming/disarming history (like when out of town we can see when the pet sitter came and went), change the thermostat settings or reprogram the thermostat all from our smartphone or computer. We also have a tiny remote to arm/disarm or set off the alarm with (panic button). When the alarm goes off (and we've had a couple false alarms, mostly us forgetting to disarm and then walking outside), they call and text us as well as notifying the police.

was very professional and helpful. We had a home security system installed with interactive locks and lighting. We are super pleased with the system and with the flexibility that it provides. Highly recommend.
