We were very happy with most aspects of the project. The
team was extremely professional and courteous, punctual to all appointments and provided outstanding communication to make sure that all of the features of the work corresponded to our preferences. They offered helpful suggestions to assist us in making our design and layout choices throughout the project. We have been using the newly designed bathrooms and dressing area for 6 weeks and are enjoying both the aesthetics and the quality of the workmanship.
(firm owner) and
(project manager) were very receptive to all of our communications and if anything was not to our liking they worked to satisfactorily modify it. There was one aspect of their business model which I was not comfortable with based on our experience. Whereas
allowed us some latitude to choose our own suppliers of cabinetry versus their recommended supplier (which saved us a good amount of money), for many items, such as all plumbing supplies, we were required to either purchase from the supplier with which
has a relationship (Grove Supply Inc.) or break the contract at that point to bring in someone else to do the work, which would have been costly and disruptive. We ended up choosing the former, but paid much more for specific items than we would have paid had we been allowed to purchase the items of our choice from a competitive marketplace. One example: We purchased two high-quality
2 - Sedona Beige toilets and the invoiced cost to us was $2,110 total. Had we been able to purchase the same product from Amazon.com, the total cost including shipping would have been $1,300. We similarly paid 20-50% more for many other items.
did explain to us that he has more confidence in the quality of plumbing supplies from his own supplier than the internet or other retail stores. And there are circumstances where such confidence might be
out (although Amazon.com and other sites have more transparency than Grove Supply and extensive positive ratings for many sellers). But at the same time, it places the customer in a highly disadvantaged position from a cost standpoint to be beholden to one seller who is aware of that fact and can price accordingly. My suggestion would be to give customers a choice in their plumbing supply purchases and let the customer handle the logistics and costs of any items which arrive defective if they make the choice to not purchase through
's preferred supplier (including any added labor costs from
). Also, as one prior reviewer noted, we were also double billed by
for many items which, regardless of intention, is something that should be improved upon with more careful cross-checking prior to invoicing. The above paragraph occupies much space in my review, but I should emphasize that price is only one dimension of a project and we were pleased with all other aspects as denoted by our overall highly positive rating. Thus, I do not want to give it disproportionate weight. In the end, I feel we received high quality work that I could trust and that was ultimately most important to me.

was very helpful in answering all of my questions (I had additional problems he walked me through). He was also easy to get a hold of, and always followed up with a call. He completed the work in a timely manner. Overall, very professional in both interactions and work. Work was extremely good and so was the clean up. I will definitely be using his services in the future and would recommend him to anyone I know.

I've learned my lesson the hard way and so now typically do business only with angies list contractors. i made an exception with this job because
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was so highly recommended by another angies list contractor that I've done a lot of business with in the past. The other contractor worked at the same house with
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
, different job but same house. he told me that
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was the very best at what he does and darn if he didnt turn out to be right.
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
came to my home to provide an estimate for laying tile in the kitchen, utility room and master bathroom, as well as tiling the shower and tub surround. it was clear from the get-go that he had both the knowledge and expertise that i was looking for - he asked me questions about things that i hadnt even thought of and also made suggestions for options that i didnt know existed. he had pictures of prior jobs on his smart phone and so was able to show me pics of the various options as well as the the type of work that he does. the pictures sold me on his knowledge and experience - my (previous) contractor's no hold barred recommendation gave me the confidence to hire an otherwise unknown individual.
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
bent over backwards to accommodate my schedule and it cannot go unsaid that i have never, ever had a more polite and courteous crew performing work at my home. They took extraordinary steps to protect carpet as well as appliances when moving them out of the kitchen and utility room, as well as to protect walls and wood work. They were always punctual, took only a short lunch break each day, and worked hard and steadily up until quitting time each day. They ALWAYS cleaned up before they left each day, even going so far as to remove the plastic they laid to protect the carpet - frankly, they cleaned up more thoroughly than i would have expected them to. Performing beyond expectation pretty well sums up the work that
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and his crew did for me. To illustrate, the tile pattern that i chose was a particularly difficult herringbone at a 45 degree angle in each of the rooms. they took the time to
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
the pattern out to assure that it lined up aesthetically as well as to assure that it was exactly what i wanted. as a matter of fact,
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
took the initiative to
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
the tile out in 2 different patterns so that i could choose the one i liked the best. Pride of workmanship & craftsmanship prevailed throughout the job that
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and his crew performed for me. As an example of this, i had a niche installed in the shower & they perfectly bookmarked the tile that made up the niche and surrounding area. They assured that both the tile spacing and the tile level was perfect on both the shower/tub areas. I could not be more pleased with the finished job. During the course of the project i learned that this phenomenal team also installs baseboards and crown moulding and had them come back to do that work also. The living room area in particular was what most would consider a crown moulding installers nightmare. These guys did a fantastic job and did it in a remarkably short period of time.
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
has the exceptional eye of a true craftsman and it shows in the finished result. It was a genuine hassle-free pleasure doing business with this company.

He was very professional, and detailed on what each thing would cost. I have no doubt his work is excellent. He showed up when he said he would, and called back when he said he would. Unfortunately his price came in too high, so we opted not to have the work done. If we had chosen to do the work, we would have used him, because it is extremely difficult to get anyone in
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
Mars to show up when they say they will and do the work you ask them to do.

Be very careful if you are a snowbird contracting in Key West. Contractors, of which we have had three, see

you coming and while they promise to send regular communication emails with attached photos of their progress, that just doesn’t happen unless pressed and Bill is no exception.

...More />We contracted Bill
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
in October 2013 to do a gate and deck and he encouraged us to have him prepare and submit the

drawings and paperwork in late October so that all the various approvals from the city would be done by the time

we arrived in
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
so he would be ready to begin work. This long lead time was because dealing with Key West

building department is frustrating and problematic but it is not just the city lead times it is the contractors as well.

Bill has lots of jibba jabba on why the process was not done in a timely manner and he can get downright offended

when questioned on his lack of progress or concern when we said we did not want to have done work when we

were absent. It seems as if it is always someone else’s fault but when you actually look at the paperwork and dates

of submissions it tells quite a different story.

Bill finally completed the work on June 6th 2014, fully seven months after being contracted. We had to leave for

home in April because nothing was being done and there was no point in waiting. Pretty horrific track record, but working three to four jobs at once and playing the game are the sad norms in Key West.

Bill’s quality of work is always very good and he does not stint on materials. He had done work before on the inside

of our cottage, some that maybe needed to be done but was not requested, and he did a good job. He was offended

that we did not fall all over him with gratitude when we arrived and got that bill. We were also quite surprised when

he offered to get pavers at a great price but he did not quote his price of delivery or stacking the pavers until we got

his invoice later. We would have appreciated the full cost disclosure when we agreed but it was too late then.

If you are away, then so is Bill. Just talk to your neighbors. If you are there and on top of things on a daily basis

you will probably get a great job. He does good work but his communication, and logistics in organizing his work

and clients is sadly lacking. We would never ever have any further work done by any contractors unless we are there.

Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
did a great job. He took my initial call and said he would try to come by the same week to take a look at the problem. He said he would try to bring along some tools to fix it on the spot if possible. I e-mailed him some picture so he knew what to expect. He gave me a quote over the phone and stuck with that price. He showed up when he said he would and knocked the work out quickly. The quality was good.
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked

It can be hard to find people for small jobs.

It was to cost at least $150.oo to fix my garage door and
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
charged me a fraction of the quoted cost. He is responsible, mature, and he does what he said he will do. I highly recommend his services.

On the initial visit
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
listened as I described the project I wanted. He then walked me through the pros and cons of my original idea and offered several options that might work better. He brought in samples and explained the qualities of each. He was courteous, patient and informative. I agreed to visit the showroom for the stock cabinets where I figured and compared until I had decided on which "extras" I really wanted and where I could compromise. When that was done he came back to my home with a contract which we again reviewed in detail and made a couple of changes. I made a down payment at that time.
On the installation day he arrived with two assistants,
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
. After getting the installation launched
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
left the work in the capable hands of his assistants. They worked steadily through the day, paying attention to every detail. They were pleasant and knowledgeable young men, easy to have in my home. They were careful around my other furniture in the room, including a glass-front antique china cabinet, and they carefully cleaned up their mess when they were finished.
I am very pleased with the final product. I ended up spending a little more than I expected but I am confident I got very good value. The stock cabinets carry a 25-year warranty and are very well made. I was glad to work with local, family-owned businesses at every level-- cabinet manufacture, showroom and design, and installation. I am already pondering future projects for

The process was great.
Nampa Carpenters Provider Name Locked
reached out in response to my inquiry, came out and met with me at a convenient time and submitted a thorough bid for the work. She handled insurance and purchase of materials and kept me up to date the whole way. She provided excellent, quality service and is clearly a very skilled carpenter.

They responded quickly and professionally to the first contact (email through Angie's list). We are quite a distance from their home base so there was much phone tag as my husband and the company tried to set up a time, but it could not be worked out. We do understand the price of gas and doing estimates. But maybe in the future they could accept photos or something to give a ballpark, for example over $500 but under $1000. Then the homeowner can decide if he wants to work on setting up a further time.
No comment on the quality of their work. And they were also courteous when my husband called back, they just could not get on the same page.
