The benefit is not in "choosing" a provider that is listed on AL - it is in using AL to screen potential providers before choosing one by looking at their ratings and reading the reviews prior customers havae posted, so you get a preview up-front of what people like or dislike about them. You can also google the doctors names combined with the word - complaints - to see other blogs and comments about specific doctors - there are also a few medical-specific review sites out there. In dealing with a specialist like a neurologist, your regular general medical provider can also provide recommendations. And be sure if your insurance company requires it (almost a certainty) that you have a referral from your general doctor AND insurance company pre-approval IN ADVANCE of the first visit if you want his/her services to be covered by your insurance.

Neurosurgery reviews in Moscow

Moscow Neurosurgeons Provider Name Locked
was amazing throughout my ordeal with a herniated disc. He examined my MRI images on the evening that I went to the emergency room on Thursday, December 4, and he identified a herniated thoracic disc immediately. During the office visit on the next Monday he showed me the problem and clearly explained the surgery options and risks. We decided to go with the option that would give him the best access to get the disc off the spinal nerves and to put in a small titanium plate to keep the disc in place. A couple of days later I let him know how urgently I needed surgery since I had a lot of trouble walking. He had compassion for me and sent me an email early Thursday morning to let me know that he would make it happen. His office arranged the surgery schedule for Friday morning with a thoracic surgeon who would provide access to the spinal cord. Dr.

and the thoracic surgeon worked very well together, and the thoracic surgeon would later tell me how impressed he was by the skill of Dr.

. By getting the disc off the spinal nerves as soon as Dr.

did, I believe he prevented more damage to the nerves and allowed me to have a quicker recovery. Dr.

Please see above - my cyst ended up growing back due to an injury at home, so I'm having it removed again soon, but I am confident that he will have me back to my old self in no time at all. I cannot say enough good things about Dr.

Moscow Neurosurgeons Provider Name Locked
. Patients are not "numbers" to them, they're real people with real families and real problems. I have always felt like the goal is the well-being of the whole person, not just the "surgical problem," and that is how I've always been treated by every single person in that office.

Operated and I'm recuperating well. Major operation that takes 4-6 months for recovery. Triple laminectomy, double fusion, with metal support rods for stability. Great Doctor and Team!

I went to see Dr.
Moscow Neurosurgeons Provider Name Locked
as a follow up to my Neurologist for a chronic back issue. When I walked into the office I was told I needed to pay the $375 office visit "up front" and that they would submit the claim to my insurance which they participated in.
Moscow Neurosurgeons Provider Name Locked
came in, looked at the Neurologists evaluation, had me bend down a few times, asked me some questions and indicated he needed to follow up with the Neurologist whom they work with in the same building. Never heard from the quack again and no my insurance claim was never submitted by them. Stay far away from this group and certainly this doctor. A total quack who basically stole $375 from me.

For the following reason, I gave a D for availability. it was very difficult to get into see one of the M.D.'s in the SNG group initially. If you have acute pain, it can take months to get an appointment unless you find an alternative way in the door. So, when the pain is killing you, good luck; it doesn't seem to make any difference to the SNG schedulers.
For the following reason, I gave a D for punctuality. When I was finally seen on the 18th, the wait was 1-1/2 hours in the waiting room before I got into the consultation/examination room. That's inexcusable.
SNG gets A's for the medical environment, the bedside manner of Dr.
Moscow Neurosurgeons Provider Name Locked
(the pain specialist) and his communication skills. He was very informative and took as much time as was necessary to answer all of my questions as well as my husband's. His knowledge also seemed impressive and I am confident that staying with him in the future is a wise move. He was easy to be with and also had a sense of humor about himself. He did not take himself too seriously. He has already gained my trust and that's very important. I feel I will be in good hands with him.
Staff friendliness in the back office garnered a B. I didn't really connect with any one of them and I usually do. They were very busy that day, however.
If I would have had to rate the staff person in the front office who sits behind the window, she would have gotten a D. I found her communication skills to be poor. She also seemed flippant in the sense that after at least 3 encounters with her, on every occasion she was always conversing with another employee during the time she was supposed to be attending to me. Also, my medical records, given to her the first time I was in, were lost somewhere along the way. I don't know whose fault that was but since they were put in her hands initially, I have to think that combined with her seemingly disinterested attitude, I'd have to bet on her.
- Nancy D.

The surgery took a moth to schedule and required keyhole laminectomy of three vertibre. Procedure was complicated but performed with minimally invasive technologies which apparently results in rapid recovery. This was performed only 7 days ago, but I'm much better off than I was prior to surgery. My only issue is there was not enough emphasis put on taking prescription pain medication, even if you don't feel you need it. So far, I am thrilled with the results.
- Douglas G.

The doctor was 2 hours late due to an emergency surgery. Another patients said this has happened three times to her. After seeing him he was suppose to schedule another MRI of my neck, that was two weeks ago and I have heard nothing from his office. So the office follow up was poor.
