, the "salesman" came off nice, polite and professional initially, but don't be fooled...It's just a front! Front that" point on it all went downhill. Even though he came for an estimate, he still used the previous contractor's measurements for his own, which
us to have to get a new insert, since the one we wanted wouldn't fit. The original insert had to be sent back since it couldn't fit He failed to clarify what "flashing" was to be done. We were given the impression that flashing would be done around chimney. However, only the flashing was done around the top of the chimney, not the part of the chimney that goes around the home. The liner was on "order" for weeks when it was in the warehouse the whole time, further delaying this install. Either miscommunication or just plain lying. On top of that they snuck in the liner costs in the price which wasn't broken down for us. The whole ordeal took 3 months!! It was all a one sided conversation with them. We always had to call to follow up with them on anything. They hardly kept in communication with us. Extremely unprofessional. They lack communication between the customer and themselves. They take messages there for
, etc,, but somehow they always forget to be passed on. I can go on and on about this "business" but the main takeaway is go somewhere else, it's not worth the headache and stress.

1) contact local furniture store that handles and repairs recliners. Frequently, even if they do not have the exact spring, they can come up with a pair that is close enough in length and stiffness that you can swap both and get satisfactory performance.

2) google your local barcalounger dealer - they might be able to get parts or keep a few common ones like springs in stock

3) write the company - Corporate Address: 400 W. Main Street, Suite 210 Morristown, TN 37814 It went bankrupt in 2010 and was bought by HPC3 Furniture Holdings - manufacturing in china now but distributing in US.

4) Google the phrase - barcalounger parts - there are a number of companies listing parts for sale, including springs

It is tough to find well made furniture these days.

Had a pretty bad experience with Hope Kitchens. Started at the Stamford Showroom and after the contractor/lead on the job missed two appointments we reached out to the team in New

. In hindsight, this should have been a warning sign. With that said, we worked with the New

team and had constant issues with communication, lack of direction/suggestions, not showing up on time, coming with wrong materials, etc. Now that the kitchen has been in for 5 months i continue to notice issues-- cracks in the cabinet, some drawers soft close some not, handles not even, etc. All in all I understand they are not extremely pricey so you get what you pay for but I would not recommend Hope Kitchens.

The true test of customer service is what happens when something goes wrong, and they handled this very well. The delivery crew showed up at the appointed time, entered the room, and realized that they could not fit the desk through the door to the room, They called the main shop, which arranged to take the desk back, take it apart, deliver it in pieces the same day, and put it back together. There was a nominal charge for re-delivery and the woodwork required to take the desk apart (it wasn't originally designed to be shipped in pieces), but the combined charge was less than the regular labor charge. I considered the extra charge fair because the problem was not their fault; I had measured the size of the desk but not thought to measure the doorway.
They also did a few minor repairs on the bookcases as delivered; I discovered that a shelf peg didn't fit in the shelf hole I wanted to put it in, and they drilled out the hole so it would fit.
The delivery crew removed the old furniture for a small charge; I knew in advance that there would be a charge, and it was worth paying the charge because I couldn't easily haul the desk away myself.
The staff in store were helpful when I placed the order. I didn't have enough knee room with the desk I preferred, and the salesman said that they could remove the center drawer and the bar which supports it. He also helped me with the selection of bookcases to match the desk.
It took a bit longer than the estimated delivery time for the furniture to be ready; I was given an estimate of 5-7 weeks, and it took 12. Other than that issue, the service was excellent, and I plan to use them again for my next furniture order.

I have to go back to court since the Judge never closed the case. I had to buy a frame and removed the bed they delivered. the bed that the hardware is missing is chipped, scratched and not what I ordered. I can only say buyer beware. I would never go back to them.

As the addition to my home got further behind schedule, I called NFM 4 times to push back the delivery of the appliances. Each time I asked if the delay would be an issue and I was assured that there would be no problem with holding the items until I was ready. On the 5th call I informed NFM that my contractor had walked off the job and that I was in the process of hiring a new contractor to finish the addition. I asked if I could just put a hold on the delivery of the product and that I would call with a delivery date when I was ready for the items. I estimated the time frame to be sometime in January and asked if there would be any problem holding my appliances until then. I said that if need be, I could have the appliances delivered and stored in my garage. Again I was assured that there would be no problem holding my items until I was ready for them. On January 9, 2015 I called and said that I was ready to have my appliances delivered and asked for a delivery date of

I asked how the appliance that I had paid for in full and was repeatedly told was in stock and would be held for me was no longer in the warehouse. I was told that the item was on a manufacturer's backorder and that because I had not specifically asked for my items to be put on a special hold, the product remained in the main warehouse, available for delivery for any other orders that may come in for the item. Because the item was on mfg backorder the warehouse stock had been sold out and I had to wait until a new shipment arrived before I could take delivery on the dishwasher. I explained that I had spoken to NFM on at least 6 different occasions concerning this order and not one time did anyone tell me that I needed to place a special hold on my items to ensure that they would be in stock when I was ready for them. The rep that I spoke with said that he would contact the salesman that sold me the appliances to see if there was a comparable item that could be substituted for the backordered item and that he would call me back. This was on

. 9th. I waited until 13th for the call back, which I never received. I called NFM again and spoke with another C/S rep, explaining my concerns about my order. She searched for a substitute item but only came up with lower quality products. I did my own

and found the same dishwasher in SS (my order was for a black one) and for the same dishwasher with the door handle and the controls located in a different place on the machine. Both items were more expensive than the one I had ordered. I asked if there was anything they could do about the price. She said that she would check with her supervisor as soon as he got out of a meeting and call me back. I waited 24 hours but never got the call back. I called her back the next day, got her voicemail and left her a message. She returned my call a few hours later and said that her supervisor would lower the price on SS unit but could not match the price I had paid for the backordered unit. (The supervisor was not willing to work on the price of the other comparable unit because it was temporarily out of stock, although it was due in on

. 18th.) I was not willing to pay more money for a dishwasher that was not what I really wanted, so I am stuck waiting for the unit I ordered to come off of backorder. I am disappointed in NFM for several reasons. First, if I was required to put a special hold on my items to ensure that they would be in stock when I was ready for them, I should have been told this. To mention this for the first time only when it becomes apparent that there is an issue with my order is unacceptable. Second, I felt the customer service I received was lacking. There was no concern shown for the problems this had created for me (I had plumbers/electricians/HVAC personnel scheduled for the following week to install the appliances), no effort was made to help me find a solution to the problem (I had to do the research to try to find a sub item) and not once did NFM call back when they stated they would. After 6 months of dealing with delays and problems with my addition I will finally have a finished kitchen next week - everything but a dishwasher, which I will have to wait 2 more weeks for. I am not happy with how NFM has handled this issue.
