"My husband and I both had exams with Dr.
Winterset Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
in the same week. My husband went for a baseline exam at the recommendation of his GP as skin cancer is prevalent in his family. I went for an exam to address a recent infection that I had on my face. We scheduled both appts via one phone call and only had to wait a week to get in. Neither of us had to wait long for our exams. Dr.
Winterset Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
and her staff were very professional. She did full exams and made certain that she answered any questions that we had. She does rep several lines of products and did offer them as possible solutions for some of our concerns; however she did not "hard sell." In fact, she lets her staff go over the specific items available and the price which I think is a more relaxed approach for the patient. Her office staff were friendly and professional. The office itself is clean and comfortable.

"Normally I don't do this. But I have to write a review on this place. I went in to have something checked out. And I have to say from the front desk to the doctor, just not very personable. I'm sorry if your taking vital information about someone and some condition, I think you should have a much more personable attitude towards your clients. Honestly, maybe it was just me but not only was this place not personable, but almost a little rude and snobby. I will say they did provide a diagnosis for me that made sense, however its almost as if going to see a doctor at this place, they look at you like your wasting their time. I have been to a dermatologist in the past, and I have to say this place has a lot to learn about being more personable to their new customers. Not sure how existing customers are treated, I hope they get a little more respect. Never to return. I hate the fact that every time you go see a doctor you have to provide all your insurance ect... I think you should be allowed to meet the doctor first, before you give away such vital information about yourself. Anyways, WOW, this place really needs to learn a lesson in

bed side manner.

"nothing really went anywhere. I could tell most the people there were regular patients. I did not feel as a new patient, that it was welcoming at all. At least, not enough for me to return. I had to pay out of pocket, because my insurance is not that good, so if i have to pay someone, i at least want to feel like you care. It was just a coldness to me, from the people at front desk to the doctor himself. Now as far as my condition is concerned, i was just told to do what i had already been doing and the reason that i was experiencing what i was, was because of hairstyling,.and it wasn't. Just wasn't good for me, but it may be right for someone else.

"All went well. I was able to get an appointment quickly. I had a little bit of a wait when I arrived but nothing too bothersome. The office runs efficiently and the staff are very professional and friendly. Dr. Selkin is great - he listened and offered different suggestions. He took his time - I never felt rushed which I appreciated. I had a follow up visit and my experience was just as positive. And I received a follow up call to make sure that all was well!

"I have used Dr.
Winterset Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
for almost 3 years. One of the receptionists is always rude and not friendly at all. Each time I go to the window, she either ignores me or won't make eye contact when telling me to verify my information. My last appointment was at 10:00am and I had to sit in the waiting room for close to an hour. On a good note, the waiting area is very spacious and has comfortable couches, televisions, and magazines.
Dr.
Winterset Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
is very nice, but I feel like he's too rushy. I expected the full body check to last several minutes since I told him that a few of my family members had skin cancer/melanoma, but he was very quick and didn't take time looking at my body. He's performed several yearly full body checks and every time is just as fast. The last time I was there, he did not even look at my upper legs and this is where a lot of women get melanoma. I know he's a good doctor and very friendly, but I would like for him to spend a little more time with me.

"I made an appt. for both the above items and was told I would need to see the PA
Winterset Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
, which was fine with me. The office was nice, plenty of parking, and the staff was courteous. My issue was that I made an appointment for 2 things, specifically stated in my phone call, but when I arrived the receptionist notified me that they wouldn't have time to do the mole scan. She couldn't tell me why, though. So, I went back anyway and then told the nurse what I was there for. She seemed perturbed but couldn't give me a real reason why they didn't want to do a 3 minute check. I again INSISTED on getting what I came to get and so she went out to ask the PA if he could do it. He agreed and it took literally 3 minutes. The PA did the right thing, but staff did not. It is very unprofessional for a receptionist, who could have been the person who made my appointment, to tell me I couldn't get treated for what I had planned for with them in advance. It was a 3 minute thing to boot!

, was fast, efficient, and did a good job on my facial lesions. I won't go back even though I got what I went for. I have high deductive insurance, no copay, so I'm out of pocket on this. It was too much of a hassle to argue my way into the service.

" Office visit to consult Dr.
Winterset Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
about recent growth of black unwanted hair on my top lip (I'm a female in my fifties). Also, I was concerned about some darker areas showing more on my chin and upper lip. Dr.
Winterset Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
was very informative and discussed all the available options for unwanted facial hair (and costs). I ended up selecting the "preventative growth cream". And he suggested a second cream for the darker areas. Only had to wait a short time. Very informative. Dr.

is very personable.

"I was sent to Dr
Winterset Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
to have the
Winterset Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
procedure done on my nose by FL Dermatology Associates in Cocoa Beach-my first (hopefully only!) bout with skin cancer. I was scheduled within 2 weeks of the spot being confirmed, The spot is right above the nostril on the side of the nose. During the procedure they remove each

of the spot and check it (under a microscope?) until they have clear borders on all sides and know they have gotten it all. I had to take an antibiotic premed to avoid infection and then return to my original office for the sutures to be removed a week later. I was nervous about it being on my nose-the scarring etc. But you can barely see the scar if at all-and then you have to look for it. The assistants had told me he would try to do it so the scarring would conform to the natural fold or wrinkle lines of the nose-and he did a very good job-it doesn't pull or show. I am very happy with the results. They did take me in on time, the staff was very friendly and explained everything. I relaxed (okay-not really) on a lounge type table while my nose was numbed (like dental procedures but no

!). They placed a drape over my face with a hole for the area they were working on and then, once I was very numb they took the tissue (no feeling just felt him working), he took the tissue to another room to look at it then took one more section of tissue and that did the job! I had only noticed the spot about eight weeks before getting it checked out-it just seemed "wrong" and he told me it was a good thing and one of the reasons it was so small. The tissue cut out was about the size of a dime or nickel-I didn't see how deep-but when he sewed it up he used internal and external sutures, I left with a pressure bandage on and they told me to keep it covered (bandaid) after the first day with antibiotic ointment. I kept it covered until the sutures came out-with the ointment to help it stay moist and heal. Dr
Winterset Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
was very professional and nice, and his staff was super nice and informative. I would go to him again....but hope I don't have to!!

"I was able to make an appointment quickly and easily. The time with Dr.
Winterset Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
was very short but he was thorough in checking all my moles. He indentified the problem with area on my
Winterset Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
that was a concern to me and gave me a prescription. I was advised to have a follow up check on the area which required another office visit, and bill."

"Dr.
Winterset Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
and her staff performed a detailed examination. She spotted 5 suspicious moles and ordered biopsies on them. Subsequently, the results revealed that one of the moles was pre-cancerous and could have become melanoma. I was scheduled to have more skin removed and that biopsy showed clear edges. Problem solved."
