"The owner and employees are all courteous, helpful, and professional. They came out to measure my countertop replacement and offered helpful advice. I took my" new sinks to their warehouse where they cut the granite, installed the sinks, and then returned to remove the old countertop and sinks and replace them with my new beautiful countertop. The workmanship is A+. Everything fit beautifully. My only complaint, like other reviews, is that it is very difficult to get in touch with Eurostone. Repeated phone calls went unanswered. When the owner finally contacted me, I told him about his poor responsiveness, and he politely told me he would try to do better. They are a small company with lots of orders because of the quality of their work, so I hope they correct the problem with prompt responses.

"The purchased was started on Monday, February9. We met with
with our dimensions, looked at the granite in the lot, pick out our slab of" granite, made our decision and walked out with a contract within 1 ½ hours. The contractor,
Point Remodel, came and cut down the ledge behind the kitchen sink on Saturday, February 14; the templating was done on Monday, February 16; the counter tops were installed on Thursday, February 19 and the plumber, The Real Deal Plumbing, came on Friday, February 20. All of the subcontracting was done through
& Bath. They were all very professional, cleaned as they went (which was quite an accomplishment when
Point Remodel was cutting plaster board) and they all came when expected. I cannot believe the difference it made with the new granite and one continuous counter without the higher shelf. I am very glad that we went with
& Bath.

Artificial (quartz) is cheaper, more uniform, has fewer voids to collect dirt, and is almost as abrasion and chip resistant.

Granite is more expensive, stains and collects dirt a little easier as a rule, and is slighly more chip resistant as a rule.

For durability, I would not rate one over the other - barring a 250 lb guy hopping up on it and cracking it, either is likely to outlive you. Selection is typically based on appearance - quartz tends to be more uniform looking and does not always do a good job of simulating the veining and variations that natural stone has.

Now some of the man made stone counters rival the real granite and othe stones without the maintainence of stone. There are many of them out there and it is more a choice of looks than anything else. Corian is still a strong choice of tops today and one advantage is it can be repaired when scratched on site. If you don't mind the maintainence you can't beat the looks of real stone though unless you need a few pieces to make up the top as the graining may be hard to match up. I am impressed though at how realistic some of the man made products have become. It is more an issue of what brand are available in your area. Most all are made the same way with crushed stone and basically an epoxy binder used to make the sheets.

Countertop Installation reviews in Mount Vernon

JT is so good to work with I wonder how he ever got a bad review. I'm thinking that must be a competitor! I originally selected AIS based upon the reviews on Angie's List although I was somewhat skeptical - seemed too good to be true and we all know the old adage. In this case, the old adage is incorrect. JT has a true zest for what he does and truly takes customer service seriously. He helped us all along the way with our kitchen remodel including making suggestions for things like the kitchen faucet and sink in addition to the types and colors of tile. His workers (the installers) were pretty amazing as well. They show up when they are supposed to (how unusual is that?) and don't have a lot of wasted motion as they go about their assigned tasks. Not only would I hire JT and AIS again, I already have arranged for them to resurface the front porch at my son's house in tile!

Mount Vernon Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
showed up with samples a day after I called for an appointment. My husband chose the color quickly and
Mount Vernon Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
took some measurements. I had the quote within two days.
The quote was detailed and broken down into specific services and add ons. Very easy to understand.
There was the basic demo, and replace. Then a charge for plumbing removal and reinstall. A choice of us demoing all or part of the job or them doing it. Also listed costs of other backsplash options or edging. I really appreciated the quote being broken down so we knew exactly what we were getting.
We opted to do our own plumbing but had them do all the demo. We stayed with standard edging and the 5" matching quartz backsplash. I was sent a comprehensive 9 page contract that included prep instructions for us as well as what were the responsiblities of both parties.
Tuesday they arrived right on time being careful to create a covered path over our hardwood floors. I liked that. Demo and template making was quick. In and out in about 1/2 hour.
Unfortunately, because of late arrival of the quartz from the supplier our install date was delayed one day. But, bright and early Friday they arrived to install the beautiful counter tops. I had to go to work so my husband worked from home. He said it took them about 3hrs.
I couldn't believe how the amazing transformation of our kitchen with just new counter tops. We had started with getting our cabinets extended and refaced but now I don't think they need it. I repainted and replaced appliances and now looks like a totally updated kitchen and it looks great.
We could not re install the faucet or disposal for another day to let the adhesive bind. By Saturday we had a fully functioning kitchen again. (Demo Tues, install Friday, ready to use by Saturday)
I am very happy with the way the counters turned out and by the service we received. I hope to use them again very soon to replace some counters in a bathroom.

and Stone is an outstanding business.

were very professional, provided great recommendations, and were really fun to work with. Their office has a large range of example products and visitors are welcome to look at slabs in the yard as well. They gave me a quote the same week I inquired. And they were also able to move up the install date once I had the newly ordered kitchen sink on hand. In addition, I saved a little money with a DIY kitchen backsplash project after the countertop install and they were very helpful with ordering material and recommendations for additional supplies. Installers were also professional and had both the kitchen and 2x bath installs done within half a day. Overall, it was a surprisingly painless process. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a professional kitchen and/or bathroom countertop purchase and installation.

Great...Owner is easy and patient to work with.
went to shop to pick color, rep came over to measure, scheduled install day with owner, crew actually came early and finished in less time than expected. Great crew of installers. Had a question for owner after installed and emailed right back.

Most work occurred between June and September. Fixes dragged on into January. Pros: Design consultants were very good. Prior to final design, they had a walk through with the sub-contractor who would actually perform the labor. They were not pushy and were accommodating when we said that we would be purchasing some features from other specialists. It was nice though to have one-stop shopping at
Mount Vernon Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
for accessory items – microwave, faucets, disposal, etc. The designers ordered more trim items from the cabinet manufacturer than were required in the long run and
Mount Vernon Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
easily refunded their cost when the project was completed. Efficient demolition and initial installation of cabinets and flooring. Also, very good re-painting of all areas including the ceilings. Kitchen walls had previously been red. Cons:
Mount Vernon Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
’s requires 100% prepayment of material and labor. This is one of the reasons that we contracted replacing large windows with a specialty store that only required 50% down. Item Delivery: Items were delivered directly to our house randomly. A replacement cabinet drawer came as two pieces – one via UPS and one by US mail. Items showed up with little or no notice and some were left outside. Communication: Frustrating lack of communication to complete the last few items on the “punch list”. Confusion whether to deal with the sales person, the project manager or the sub-contractor.

They were excellent. They came in and told us what was going to happen. How they were going to take away the countertop that was there. Told us how they were going to hook up, we have one spot where it goes over to support an island and there's support beams there to hold it up. They told us how they were going to connect it all together and keep it up so it would not fall down on them. They did all that. They came and measured it all first with a machine and then they went back and cut it. And then they peeled it off around the top and edges and they did a very, very good job. No mistakes. You have to be very precise on stuff like that too.
- Marsha S.

I have called this provider a total of 7 times! all at various times of the day. Unfortunately I couldn't leave a message because no answer machine picked up. What kind of business doesn't pick the phone up!? I guess this is divine order telling me to run the other way. Hope others listen as well.....
