was very thorough and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all my questions in detail. When I had to contact him after the inspection, he was prompt in" getting back to me. His prices were very reasonable compared to other companies I contacted for this job. I would use his services again and recommend him

"What a great professional he is! If you are a home buyer, I strougly recommend a home inspector like him. He found a termite problem in a good shaped and well-maintained property" from the views of normal buyers like me. In addition, I was surprised because the property was already inspected twice before his inspection and the previous two professional home inspectors didn't find it. Here is what happened.
inspected the property under P&S agreement. Before his inspection service, I informed him that the property was back on the
due to some problems after a previous home inspection. I gave him all issues from the previous home inspection, which were also re-examined by a good friend of mine who is the local builder. Since I knew all major issues of the property and these were minor problems repairable with a marginal expense, I hired
not only one more external inspection but also I like to learn more about the property since many reviewers commented
was kind and instructional for the property managment, etc. The termite situation is now under inspection by pest control agency. I am not sure if I buy the property or not. It all depends on the termite damage. Knowing that some reviewers said that he was expensive, I still hired him because he would perform his professional job well and I needed the best man for my new sweet home. Well done, Mr.
. I truly appreciate your professionalism, kindness, and sincere follow-up. All the best,

Home Inspecting reviews in Hiawatha

While I have no plans on selling my house, I have several
improvements, new doors/windows, flooring, countertops, and the like in mind.
Since I have been in my home for more than 20 years and inspections have
changes dramatically since that time, I thought it would be great to have an
independent person assist me in prioritizing tasks.
The inspection was an eye opening and there was good news
bad news. Good news,
Hiawatha Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
was amazing and his four hours uncovered issues
that I didn't realized I had. Bad news,
Hiawatha Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
found water damage and
structural issues that I was unaware of, in additional to smaller (it's all
relative) problems like some outlets not installed correctly and my vents are
vented to nowhere. I only wish there was this type of service available decades
I would not buy a house or remodel a house without hiring

. Best money I have ever spent, just 20+ years too late.

This guy is a joke. I know more about doing a home inspection than this guy, and I'm a first time home buyer.
I asked him to do an inspection on my house, and I basically paid to have him tell me one of the sockets didn't work. Yet, 5 minutes at the breaker box after moving in, you could see that the fuse was turned off to that socket. It's like he'd never seen a house before. He also walks into the basement and goes "looks like water has leaked before"...Really? no one with eyes could miss that. How about turning on the water to see if it STILL leaks? That's something a normal inspector would do.
Biggest, problem however. He didn't inspect the chimney flues. These are the kind of things you hire an inspector for. I can see if a light doesn't turn on, or if the breaker box isn't on. Your job is to examine the structure of the house.
We ended up having a serious problem with the gas exhaust, and had he examined the clean out, it could have been caught. He looked inside the fire place one and just said "probably get a cap on here. have someone come out" he also said that about a plumber, and electric. That's your response for everything? I realize he probably says that so he thinks he does a good job, but any real inspector would take a few moments to examine what was really going on. After all, that is what I'm paying a guy for.
He also missed a gas pipe issue that the town inspector flipped out about when he came to do some new work inspection. We also asked

about the appropriate ventilation in our utility room, he said there was no issue. Town inspector said it needed to be changed, and a few other issues we had to update before the plumber could do more work in here. He cost us an extra 4k off these small things alone.
I questioned him about these issues, sited his written policies that say what he would examine and that he failed at his job and owes me a refund. I used his own documentation to verify he didn't do what he said he would do. He quit responding to me.
Never use this guy!!!

It went very well.

did an excellent job. He was very comprehensive both indoors and outside. Most significantly, he recommended that the furnace, which was quite old, be inspected by a qualified furnace technician before purchase. We insisted on it with the seller, and it turned out that the furnace was broken.

saved us a significant amount of money with that call.

The service was phenomenal. The man who came to the house was polite and more importantly thorough. The gutter line was sprayed with the bee proofing material. As the liquid arrived at the nest...the nasty yellow jackets swarmed and attacked. The man returned his equipment and then applied something which resulted in a cloud of smoke. He then crounched down and applied another product to the entry points of the nest. No more yellow jackets...peace restored to my home. We are extremely thankful.

was very professional and easy to contact. He showed up on time and conducted a very in-depth inspection. As a first time buyer, he was very informative on every aspect of the home and issues that may need to be addressed. He provided a detailed report within a day with photos and recommendations. We spent the whole 3-hours going through the house, he was very easy to ask questions and explained everything to us. I would definitely recommend him!

Hiawatha Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
showed up on time and was very polite and appeared to be very knowledgeable. Early in the inspections he asked us if we planned to do any renovations and we said "yes." That is where things went wrong. Although he still did what seemed to be a thorough inspection he spent a lot of time going on and on and on about the evils of Fiberglass insulation and suggesting to us that we hire someone he knows to come out and do work to make sure no fibers were making it into the main part of the house. He was very slow getting the report back to us and when it did come it contained several pages again about the cancer causing properties of fiber glass. Its clear that he has a lot of passion and concern around the fact that people still broadly use something that could cause cancer but in my mind it crosses the line when he starts recommending people to come out and remove it - I would go so far as to cause that a conflict of interest for a home inspector. We have now moved into the house and have discovered that he missed some very basic things which we are now having to get fixed (dryer vent broken and clogged, oven door falling off, light switches not working) and on the other side he raised issues that did not exist such as telling us we had galvanized pipe when we do not. In the end there were

lot of valid items in the report but we are left with an unsettling feeling of being not exactly sure what we got.

All of the inspectors that were on site were very pleasant and professional.
The home inspectors were extremely thorough. I came away from this
experience with a clear picture what I was getting into and what I need
keep an eye on down the road.
