"Read above, I asked for a ring box, as the one that the store gave me fell apart after 201 day of getting the ring repaired and the bottom fell out. The man said" no, then I explained to him it was brand new and he went to get another one, after my wife and I was looking at wraps and I was not interested in any of them and the worker
, told me he would not give me the bix because I didn't buy the wrap from him.

Ladies and Gentleman; this is my first experience having to see an individual who sells "Jewelry"" from her Apartment on the 10th Floor of 25 East 83rd Street New
, NY 10028. I have Purchased and still owned a Vintage,14 Karat Rolex Gold Watch and attached originally to a Rolex
Time and Date "Collectors" Item Band connected to a 14 Karat Gold Lock Closure since 1980.I paid $4000.00 Plus Tax in Pittsburgh, Pa. from a Certified Rolex Dealer in 1980. This watch has never stopped keeping perfect time bearing the most adverse conditions from -5 degrees below Zero to 110 in the Sun, including operating underwater as deep as 30 feet in Barbados,Caribbean and several Scuba sights world wide. The Rolex has never been removed from my wrist including sleep for 32 years, except for showers and returned to my wrist, continuing its Self Winding condition of perfect time keeping.in Approximately 2013,the Watch stopped keeping time and then stopped completely. I put an Ad on Facebook if anybody knew a reputable "approved" Rolex Watch repair Artisan and I received a response from an old CPO Medical School female whom I dated for quite some time. She highly recommended this nice, pleasant jeweler who "fixes Watches" as well. only because I knew and even though it has been about 40 years since I had not seen former School Friend I had to trust her friend's Judgement thinking she was an expert with Rolex repair and not expecting it to be left for approx. 3 weeks and returned in a Pawn Shop envelope which reflected the caliber of the Watch repair person, witch immediately gave me Pause.
said with an unwritten (refused) 1 yr. guarantee to return the watch for repair again? To make a long story short, the watch exhibited two more breakdowns and I was accused of stepping and crushing it, showing no damage at all, beside the insult. After the third breakdown she said parts were removed which she claimed after three breakdowns, not after the first two that Parts were in her pocket in Palm Beach Fla. where she sells more Jewelry intermittently, and refused not only the Watchmaker's name, but also the removed parts or at least pictures with her Camera, which is usually and customary procedure from any High End reputable Jeweler. She "promised" to return parts for my perusal upon return, however she denied saying that and "only way Watchmaker could identify removed parts only if he reopened my Watch as he forgot what he did." How many Vintage Rolex's does he work on in a day that he does not keep track of such an expensive Item?
,the referring Jeweler with no name and the Jeweler who supposedly worked three times on my Rolex could not recall what parts were removed. Something was mentioned by
about a "Tube" and "Crystal." She made various threats and personal accusations in writing which I will provide at your request. Extremely inflammatory and nothing to do with the business at hand. I am beginning to wonder what kind of operation she is running. By the way, since I have paid her an initial $800.00 which I was willing to forgive on the condition she donates the refund to Charity, suggesting Juvenile Diabetes. As of this writing, I have had no response to terminate further escalation. For now, I have a Vintage Rolex, a Collector's Item that does not operate and was delivered an Electric
without consultation or agreement and no self winding watch I had originally contracted. I still have approximately 8 months Guarantee verbally issued (refusing in front of Witness) to write a Processional Certificate of Guarantee to return my Rolex in a fully function condition. Thank you for your time and attention to this Serious Matter. Sincerely,
Yellin, CO BOC . At which time you will gladly return the
unused in Brand New Condition, never used and returned in original box. Again, I will gladly return the
unused in Brand New Condition, never used and returned in original box.Stopped Three times on 1 25 12 on third return today. Usually runs for at least 3-4 weeks. Are parts in "other's" Hands?

Depends on the design and how much it is being resized, and if reducing or increasing. For a simple one-size change larger, with a simple circular ring, can be as cheap as $20-30 to heat and stretch it.
If needs to be enlarged more or reduced, then it has to be cut and changed to the size wanted, and fused back together, with new gold or silver if enlarging. Obviously, reducing is cheaper than enlarging as no signficant new metal is needed, and silver is cheaper than gold or platinum because of the six-seven fold difference in the cost of the metals.
Resizing involving cutting probably in the $50-100 range for silver or for reducing a gold ring, enlarging a gold ring with added metal could run $100-250 depending on how large the ring is - a real hefty men's ring will obviously take more metal, so more cost, than a thin wedding band.
You want to consider the value of the ring - a real valuable or antique ring you want to take to a true artisan jeweler who makes and modifies rings in-house - a simple economy ring or simple band you would get a cheaper price probably at a chain store like Zales.
When you drop it off be sure to get a written receipt for it while they work on it (usually unless a simple one-size stretch job, cannot do while you wait), and I would also take a picture or two of it on your cell phone, including a zoom shot of any interior engraving, so if there is any question about whether you got back what you dropped off, you have some proof. Of course, the integrity of the shop is critical.

I have been a customer for over 20 years and have a number of jewelry items from

Very professional and courteous service as always. I had originally purchase the earring from them and they helped me work with the manufacturer to get a replacement hand made. Even though I live in Florida,
Greenfield Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
's is my go-to jeweler for all needs, from gifts to repairs, I totally trust them and have never been disappointed.

They made my wedding ring larger. It's not just a plain wedding ring, it has a very wide band and not a lot of diamonds. The design is very specific, and it has an engraving, and I wanted to be sure all that was taken care of. The engraving is complicated and has a lot of initials, and she didn't charge any extra to re-do it after she expanded my band.

excellent service, timely wait for the repair to get done i thought it would take weeks but he did it in 2 days, he found just the right color turquoise to match the rest of my stones plus the store has an amazing collection of native american art.

We entered the store. Several people ran to help us. Now we know why. We asked if they could take links out of a watch band not purchased in their store. One person said sure. Took the watch, Took about 10 minutes to remove the links. Handed us a bill for $59.95. Explained she could have charged us $109.90, to make us feel better. It did not work. Stay away from

The outcome is absolutely amazing. The original set was very worn and yet the jeweler was able to recreate each and every detail to perfection. I can't say enough about how much I love the final product. However, the process took much longer than I anticipated. I dropped the original set off in October and didn't receive my new rings until January. I feel as though a lot of last minute holiday jobs took precedence over mine during November and December, which was a little frustrating. My interactions with sales staff were hit or miss. I worked with one staff member closely in the estimate and decision making phase who I felt really listened to what I was wanting. I had numerous phone conversations with a different staff member that were unpleasant and left me concerned that I wasn't going to get what I was describing. The agreement I had made was that the original diamond and metal would be incorporated into the new set for sentimental reasons. I was aware up front that using the original metal may not be possible due to damage and contamination. I expected to be informed of the final process, however when I went to pick up the new set, the sales person mentioned nothing about the original set, leading me to believe that it had been successfully incorporated into my new set. As I was paying, I happened to notice something in the plastic bag that had contained my order, I couldn't be sure but it seemed possible that it was the original set. I didn't say anything at the time and neither did the sales person. Later that evening, I grew concerned that my grandmothers wedding set may in fact have been what I saw and that the jewelry store intended to throw it away. This was a devastating possibility to consider and after a sleepless night waiting until the store opened the next morning, I called to ask. Sure enough, they were not able to use the metal and they had my grandmothers wedding set with no apparent intention to ask me if I wanted it returned. I immediately drove to the store to pick it up. In the end, I am left wondering how a jewelry sales person can have so little regard for the sentimental value of family jewelry that she would have not instinctually known that I would want the original set back and not to have it tossed into the trash.

Best place to go to for jewelry in the Metro Detroit area, hands down.
Greenfield Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
is extremely good at what he does, and if you tell him what you're looking for, your price range, and what matters most to you about what you are buying (size, style, etc) he'll help you get the best piece at the best price available.

My family, 3 generations of us, have been going to
Greenfield Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
for years and have never had any reason to reconsider our decision. This visit we brought in several pieces of jewelry, some my mother's, some mine, that needed attention of some kind. 2 watches needing batteries, a broken silver earring, my great-grandmother's broach needing replacement stones and some small repairs to jump rings on the necklaces my husband and I never remove. We also brought in 2 large pearl earrings we wanted to have made into pendants. We discussed with
Greenfield Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
our ideas of what we wanted and our budget and then we went looking for appropriate mounts. In the past we have had
Greenfield Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
design custom settings but our budget didn't allow that on this occasion. He was very patient and thorough in showing us just about everything available for our purposes including things he could modify to get the look we wanted. We selected 2 mounts for the 2 pearls, he documented the size and quality of the pearls we were leaving with him and told us we could expect to hear from him in a couple of days - when the mounts arrived - so we could approve them before he mounted the pearls.
I will update this review when the work is complete but fully expect that this time, as in the many times before, we will be delighted with the work
Greenfield Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
has done and the price that we paid for it.
