"My big guy was very vet particular, he either loved them or wanted out asap. I think he "read" their energy. HA! He immediately was comfortable at
" , he would go in the back alone for shots happily with them. We first switched to
about one year prior to his knee injury for a behavioral evaluation, two previous vets were unhelpful and discouraging. They were gentle and efficient evaluating him, gave me good advice about how to handle the cat/dog issue which allowed both animals to live out their lives with us without further incident. ( we split the house and kept them separated and made sure all potential health issues were reviewed. When he injured his ACL, they recommended conservative treatment, he healed without surgery, meds and excercise limitations only, other leg went too due to stress of carrying the load but he came through that as well. I would still be using
but have moved south of spokane and the drive north is almost an hour in traffic for us so have switched to Hunters vet. I thank them for being examples of the type of vet pet owners hope to find and have.

"I have had my three dogs over to
on numerous occasions. The services I used included regular shots as well as a hip operation. My Veterinarian" is Dr.
, and she has always done a great job with examining my dogs, offering proper treatment, and spending as much time with me and my dogs to answer all my questions and provide me with all necessary information. I've moved around a lot and have utilized the services of many vets and I can attest to the fact that the clinic and Dr.
rank at the top of my list.

How do I choose the right veterinarian for my pet?

One highly rated provider shares insight and questions to ask yourself when going through the process of choosing a veterinarian for your family pet.

Vaccinating your dogs — and reporting cases of kennel cough to your doggy daycare or animal boarding facility — is the best way to protect your pets and their friends. (Photo by Photo courtesy of Angie's List member Patricia T.)

Like snowflakes, each pet is unique. In veterinary dermatology, this is often taken into consideration when approaching diagnosis and treatment, says Fruta. (Photo courtesy of Angie's List member Virginia M. of Redmond, Ore.)

When cases of skin and ear problems become severe or chronic in your pet, it is suggested that you seek the care of a veterinary dermatologist for treatment.

Angie's Answers

The first answer is pretty thorough but I would like to add a few points.

First.. the type of food you are feeding your dog may be the key.  If you are using a food that is grain, rice or corn based in the first three ingredients, please change to a food that is meat or chicken based.  Many dogs are allergic to grain, rice, wheat and corn and these things are used as primary ingredients in many well known, name brand dog foods.  Secondly, all treats that have these ingredients should be cut out.  It takes weeks to months before a food change can show results so you must be patient.  Jumping from one food to another will be counter-productive.

Some dogs are so allergic to flea or other insect bites that one or two bites can cause a severe reaction.  Once the itching/scratching cycle begins, it is hard to stop it.  Benadryl is good but I suggest liquid form.  You can get it inexpensively at one of the dollar stores.  The pills take time to break down in the digestive system so you get better and faster results with the liquid. One tsp= 5cc and most dogs of average size can tolerate that much and more if the dog is a larger breed.

Allergy testing is very expensive and most dogs will test positive to some things.  That does not mean that the itching is coming from those things as many things in the environment can trigger positive test results.  Breaking the cycle of itching is primary and that can be done with prednisone ( short term and last resort after benadryl and bathing), allergy shots( same deal, last resort after easier methods).   This spring and summer have been particularly hard, weather-wise.

Good luck!

After you search for the company, you should get the "no results" page. Scroll down just a little bit, and you'll see a button and a link that say "Add this provider." Click on that to add them to the List! Thanks for the great question.
I'm really sorry! It looks like we made some site changes I hadn't noticed before and it made things just a little more confusing (for me, too!). We'll have to look into this to make it easier.
In the meantime, here's what you do:
1) Look for the Submit a Report button. It's yellow and on the right-hand side of the page.
2) Search for the animal cancer care clinic you're looking for. The search box should be inside a yellow bar.
3) You should see a list of potential matches, but on top of those, there should be "add a provider to the List" text in blue, which is where you'll click to get to the add page.

Let me know if you have any trouble. Sorry, again, for this being so confusing.

Veterinarian reviews in Clinton

It went wonderful. Dr
Clinton Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
is also the Vet that we use. She is the best and most caring Vet that I have ever dealt with. My 3 cats just lover her. Dropped off cats and later that day picked them up. I was holding my baby when I came to pick them up and the staff there helped me by carrying the cats out to my car. Would use them again.

I brought my girl, Jazzmine, to this vet's office from the time she was 6 weeks old until she was about 18 months old. The staff was always terrific and I never was concerned about having to leave her for a procedure (she was spayed here) and they were always accommodating to both her needs and mine. HOWEVER, I asked to see and speak to the vet, Dr
Clinton Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, multiple times and was never given the opportunity. She had multiple visits due to shots, allergies, ear infections from those allergies, etc. Never once did I ever meet this vet. I started to suspect that he wasn't there and that the techs were doing the bulk of the practice. I was a paralegal prior to retiring, so I know well that many things CAN be done by others in a professional office and don't necessarily require constant oversight. Shots, anal gland expression, etc. are not an issue, but I feel I should be able to talk to the vet when it is actually practicing vet medicine. Further, their prescription meds were generally twice the cost of those I could get online from reputable pet pharmacies. Otherwise, my girl received good care from the techs, I just wanted some interaction with her vet.

(the vet) and her vet tech assistant came to the house. They were very professional, and kind and patient with the cats. They were very good about handling the cats and talking to them to make them less stressed. One of my cats was not feeling well, so In addition to shots and exams, blood was drawn, and an attempt at a urine sample was made. The vet was very good about explaining possible causes for the cat not feeling well, and she discussed alternatives with me. Note that the cost also included the blood test and a prescription that was needed. I thought there prices were very reasonable, and we will be using this vet in the future.

As a dog owner for 15 years and encountering numerous vet offices, I've never met a vet that would do what Dr.
Clinton Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
did. She helped us in every possible way to save our boy. She is an amazing vet with great staff. Because of her and the extreme measures she took, our dog is still alive. I would highly recommend her practice to anyone looking for a new vet. She cares for the animals as if they are her own.

Contacted A Animal clinic for boarding dogs while on vacation. 1 medium size and 1 large dog. I did cancel vacation due to illness in the family. This company had accomadated and answered any questions. Area was clean with staff visable. I was able to tour the area and talk with supervisor of area. Printed information given and able to schedule the time easily. Also has a play program during the day. Area clean with off the floor bed for older dog. When I canceled staff cheerful and wonderful.
Even tho I did not use them this time I certainly would for any other time.

No matter which vet you get they all love your fur baby. Time was taken during the exam. Our small dog after we arrived home started having a reaction to his shots. Called the vet and they saw the dog ASAP. Stayed with us and our dog until the crisis passed.

- Cathyann K.

The doctor was VERY compassionate (as was the staff). The doctor spoke with us concerning the cancer and its advancement before we started the procedure. She LISTENED to our reasons for our decision to put our dog out of her suffering. She explained the procedure and then hugged us before leaving. VERY COMPASSIONATE. She and the staff then allowed us as much time as we needed after our dog passed. They also provided information concerning the passing of our dog. A week later we got a sympathy note from the doctor!

Her left eye was swollen shut this morning and clearly bothering her. We had called and made an appointment, Dr.
Clinton Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
performed an exam of her eye, gave her a shot, as well as some eye drops and medication. He had excellent bedside manner. He answered questions and took time to care for my dog. We couldn't have asked for a better vet.
