Contractors say homeowners with this trait are the most satisfied with home improvement projects.
Often overlooked, gutters provide many benefits to your home. One highly rated provider shares some reasons to consider upgrading your gutter system.
Two notes #1 20 feet is going to cost you more per foot that 100 feet. #2 All prices are relative to Your market ie Omaha is less expensive than St Lious. Here expect to pay on the 100 foot job $5 to $6 per foot of gutter (5" aluminum) plus the $4 to $5 a foot for the downspouts and $15 to $20 for soffit and facsia covering ie vinyl soffit panels and painted or vinyl clad aluminum covering the fascia. In the trade a soffit & fascia job.

Not knowing what type of eaves (the lower edge of the roof) you had before the new soffits were intalled I have to guess what might have happened. If you had closed eves (no soffits, just rafter tails with blocking between) before as was done on some older homes it is possible they removed or drilled holes through to the attic. When this was done there should have been a baffle installed to direct the air flow up and over the insulation. This would only be possible for the soffit installer to do if the wood blocking was removed and not just had holes drilled in it. If the insulation contractor did not go all the way to the exterior wall that could very well be the cause or it he did not make sure the insulation was pushed down to make contact with the ceiling material. If the house was never cold before I would bet the problem is at the eaves. You should call the insulation company for an answer.
The ice build-up in the gutter should not, provided they are properly attached and solid, rip out the gutter.
When you get snow slides and large chunks of frozen precip that let go and slide down the roof with velocity, those are what tear off the gutters and create damage.
If you are concerned about the snow load, a snow rake and/or a proper roofer can remove some of the accumulated snow.
Some ice damming is unavoidable in the correct conditions but I would urge you to look into proper ventilation of the roof and air sealing and insulation. This will reduce your home's inclination to form these ice dams in the future.
Gutter Installation reviews in Lahaina
Also with this company's product, my roof looks great, my landscape was not affected, the pets did not get sick and an area where a downspout empties over concrete did not get discolored.
Looking back, I probably would have saved money had I used this company rather than buying all the the products that did not work 100%.
Arriving home one day from work on a very snowy day I saw footsteps and leaves scattered all around the house. I learned from my husband that they had called him to say they were on their way earlier in the day. I had intended on being home when they arrived as it seems convenient to charge hourly for a service that no one is around to actually observe. We then received a bill about a month later that noted that due to build up of ice in the gutter the worker was unable to complete the job in one corner of the house. In addition the job took 2 1/4 hours, considerably over the approximate hour we had been told and long considering when the job hadn't even been completed. I questioned whether the extra time was due to the level of snow and ice in the gutters.
We called to question a.) why the job was done when clearly there would be ice and snow, b.) why we didn't receive the days notice as we had been told and c.) question the length of time that it had taken. After a number of phone calls over a couple of months ranging from "The usual receptionist is out so I can't help you" to "I'll have the manager call you" we were told by a receptionist that $75 had been taken off the bill and a new bill had been sent.
Upon receiving that bill via email we realized that no money had been taken off and the $75 she had spoken of was the deposit we had to put down just for the them to even come out. It wasn't money taken off, it was money we'd already paid! I emailed back and again brought up our concerns. I received a response from the president of the company asking us "what did we expect" and stating that they would NEVER say how long a job was (though they did!) and that they say they will call the day before OR day of (which they never said). Maybe that is standard procedure but unfortunately the receptionist we spoke to did not relay the correct information.
He also made some odd mention that usually 2 guys, not 1, come out and it takes two of them them 1 hour therefore it is actually two hours of work. So I'm still not sure whether they charge $75 per hour or $75 per hour per man. However, if it is PER MAN they're not clear in their description to customers and if it's not per man and they typically use 2 men per job then we were charged double by only having one employee work on our house.
Unfortunately, this company is unable to accept when their employees give customers incorrect information and have confusing charging policies (One man? Two men? Per hour? Per man?). The owner attempted to rectify the situation by offering us money off IF we bought product from them and had them do more work on our house. That clearly isn't happening, and we chose to just pay the bill and move on knowing that we will not be using this company again.
