Business Description: Mahalo for allowing us this opportunity to earn your business! Aloha my name is Russell J. Larson and I'm a Master Carpenter & Tile Setter. I have 25 years experience in the business. I remember growing up watching my Father & Grand father rebuild our family home. I was always fascinated with the whole process. Seeing what they could create out of an old attic or basement. The stage was set at an early age. I grew up in a small mid western town. My first job was working in a factory making real good money at the young age of 17. However I didn't like the job an knew early on that I couldn't see myself working there for the rest of my life. My best friend also worked there. One day we decided to quit our jobs to start our own construction company. My father thought I was nuts to quit a job that would in his words 'be set for life' nevertheless we decided to go for it. In January 1983 we filed for a business license and opened our doors for business. I guess you could say 'the deck was stacked against us' being that there were lots of construction companies already in such a small town and we had little experience in the business. However what we did have going for us was the knowledge to know that the customer always comes first. Customer service is our number one priority! We started doing odd jobs that didn't pay much. We were glad to have the business and treated our clients with red carpet service. Soon the word got out and we moved onto bigger & bigger projects. Business was going well and we were slowly becoming widely known for doing quality work at a fair price. At the peek of our operation we were building 8-10 garages a month and had 8 guys working with us. We always did our own work. From meeting with clients to swinging a hammer we did it all. My grandfather once told me "If you have a job you like.. you'll never work a day in your life" He was a wise man indeed! 25 years later I'm still going strong. My wife and I move to Hawaii 7 years ago. We settled in and I started doing odd jobs to pay the bills. One day I received a call from a gentleman to do some painting in condo he had just purchased. I remember him always on the phone practically begging other contractors to come out and give him an estimate on remodeling his unit. More times than not they wouldn't even show up. That's when I decide to get back into the business and try my hand at making a go of it here in beautiful Hawaii. I applied for my license and got the job finishing this mans project. He was very satisfied and so were the neighbors. After I completed his job I ended up remodeling 6 more units in that building. The word was out and the phone started ringing. My goal is simple.. to provide my clients with excellent customer service at a fair price. I do as I say and say as I do. If I say I''l be there at 10; I'll be there at 10. My work starts with and idea, a vision, a blank canvas. The key here is to listen, take notes and ask questions. I'm very good at making your vision a reality. I hope that you will allow me an opportunity earn your trust. I offer a no obligation free estimate. Mahalo Russell J. Larson / Master Carpenter & Tile setter
