"When I arrived at the Dr. 's I was taken to an exam room by one of his assistants, and told to remove my clothing, other than my underpants," and to wait for Dr. on an exam table. I was not offered a gown. I waited in my underpants for about 10 minutes for Dr. to arrive. When Dr. entered the exam room with a "scribe", he did so through a door where I was in plain view of anyone walking down the hall, including patients. Dr. did not introduce the scribe, or ask me if I was ok with having a scribe in the exam room. Although there was a curtain that could have been used tp provide privacy between me and the scribe, Dr. did not use the curtain. Dr. introduced himself quickly, shook my hand, and then proceeded to conduct the exam. During the exam, Dr. went over my skin systematically, stating the technical name and location (using technical terms again) to his scribe of each and every thing he found on my skin. At one point, he found something which he said should be removed. He did not explain what it was or why it should be removed. If I consented to the procedure, it was so quick that it certainly was not informed consent. Although I am sure I would have consented if it had been explained to me, I certainly would have wanted to know what the consequences of the procedure would be. The area was painful for a week after the procedure. I am sure that this is normal, but I would not have wanted the procedure done at that time if, for example, I had an important event coming up in the next week. During the exam, with one exception, Dr. did not address his remarks to me--instead, he spoke to his scribe in technical language. The only times he spoke to me two times. One was when he said that he could tell from my skin that I had spent a lot of time in the sun. I responded that that was funny, because a medical condition had kept me out of the sun for several years. He responded that he meant over my whole life. I didn't respond to that, but compared to most people, having been a book worm as a child, and having had an indoor white collar job, and having been aware of the risks of sun exposure from a young age, I have actually spent little time in the sun over the course of my life. The only purpose of Dr. 's comment seemed to be to make me anxious about the health of my skin. Indeed, if he was going to make the observation, he should have explained why or if it was relevant to anything. When Dr. finished the exam, he did not offer an overall assessment of the health of my skin, other than to say that he would like to see me for another full skin exam in 6 months. I would not return to see Dr. . First, although a skin exam inevitably involves some lack of privacy, I have had a lot of medical procedures that require that I be completely undressed but I have never had one where there was absolutely no effort make to respect the patient's privacy--no offer of a gown, having me sit on an exam table in my underpants for 10 minutes in plain view of anyone in the hallway when he entered the exam room, no dressing to cover one part of my body while examining another, no separation between me and the scribe, no consent on my part to the scribe, who was standing literally three feet from me while Dr. examined my genitalia in her plain view. I am not a terribly shy person, but when a medical practice seems to go almost out of its way to fail to respect a patient's privacy, you have to assume that there is a reason for this. My own guess is that Dr. has figured out that the less he respects the patient's privacy, the more disarmed the patient feels, and the less likely the patient is to ask questions or fail to consent to a procedure. As to the exam itself, Dr. 's use of technical terminology, and his directing his remarks to his scribe, left me with no information or better understanding of the health of my skin, or what I could do to keep my skin healthy. In addition, his recommendation that I should return for another exam in 6 months, with no explanation as to why, left me wondering if he had a concern about my skin health. I decided to try another dermatology practice the next time that I got a skin exam. The differences were remarkable. First, I was given a gown. Second, the doctor directed his comments to me, and put me at ease. Instead of reciting to a scribe each and everything that he found on my skin, he described in general terms what they were, and also stated that they were absolutely nothing to worry about. He also said that a yearly exam was sufficient.

"She and her office are absolutely the worst doctors office I have ever been to. I went there for three years and had a mole removed. I only met Doctor " when I had the surgery to get the mole removed. She is never available for visits for skin checks, just the PA's. I had two skin conditions misdiagnosed and mistreated for two years. Whenever you asked about seeing Dr she was always busy. My wife had 3 spots removed and they made her do it on three different office visits. When questioned they said it was because there would be too much trauma to the skin. Are you kidding me?? When I finally realized how ridiculous this office was and went to another dermatologist they told me that the insurance companies pay them less for removing multiple moles in the same visit but they still remove multiple moles in the same visit. He also correctly diagnosed both of my skin conditions that I had been suffering from for years and prescribed the proper medicines for treatment. 4 years later everything is great. That's the benefit of actually seeing a doctor. Dr. ' office is nothing more than a cash cow for her. If you look online beyond Angies list you'll see lots of people echoing these same things. I've never had a worse experience with a Doctors office/business in my life. It's a shame that I have to lump them in with a business because I normally wouldn't consider a doctors office a traditional business but that's how they want to run it. Stay away from this place please.

Everything went well. The office visit was smooth in every aspect. The office is very neat and clean, and the staff are very kind.
- Holly B.

The medical staff is professional and informed. My complaint is with the scheduling. At my last appointment, I was taken back to an exam room after a wait of 40 minutes because I inquired about how much longer my wait would be and should I reschedule. I had stitches removed and was told that there were 3 patients ahead of me before I would see my provider. ...More I elected to reschedule and chose an early morning appointment figuring there was less for a backup. I still waited 45 minutes to see my provider. I inquired after waiting 30 minutes, and the receptionist's non verbal behavior and of voice implied I was bothering her. This office schedules too many people in too short a period of time. Take your patience and something to do when you go!

Dr. Galitzer is rated the highest/ excellent to me based on his interpersonal skills, high degree of knowledge, compassion and understanding. The office staff is always pleasant and accommodating. The medical assistants are also very cordial and skilled in their jobs. The night after my surgery at 8:30 pm, Dr. Galitzer called me to get an update on ...More my condition, not many Doctors do that.
- Thomas P.

Awesome - is fantastic. The only problem was that I came in for the dysporta special and there were no specials left. It did not mention in the email that it was for a limited time is advertised from October 1st through January 31st, 2016.

Office staff was extremely courteous and friendly. No wait at all. Dr Ducatman was very friendly and competent. Was in the office totally for 15 minutes. This was the best medical procedure treatment that I have ever received.
- Donald I.

Dr. Nowicky and his Staff made me feel completely comfortable and addressed all of my concerns. It was nice to have a Doctor and his Staff that actually communicate and carry on a conversation with their patient!
- Debra M.

Nothing but praise for this physician and the staff of this office. They are very competent and well mannered. I had no problem with charge as insurance covered full charges.

Got excellent and pleasant service from the doctor and even a hug from the phlebotomist! Overall, I felt that I was well taken care of and that people really cared about the job that they do -- I didn't feel like a number, which was nice.
