"The only problem I have with them is that I feel harassed. I communicated very succinctly that our plans changed through no fault of my own and I would let them" know when we would be using an assisted facility. Hopefully this review will help.

"Not being familiar with the area or with how hospice homes worked in the
area (it's different in NY) it was very stressful trying to" decide how we would take care of dad in his final weeks. We had great assistance from Hospice of the Valley who provided us the names of different homes in the area. My brother and I visited several of them, but none seemed quite right for many different reasons. Then, we heard about a home that was just opening it's doors for clients, and that was
in
. We met with the owners,
and
, who are an extremely caring and compassionate couple. While we had some reluctance about being the first customers, our fears were quickly put aside when we witnessed how careful they were to follow the state's procedures and how quickly they responded to a couple of concerns I voiced about the ability of his wheelchair to navigate certain areas. Within, a few days, the building was remodeled to accommodate the wheelchair!!
and
treated my dad like he was their own father and no higher compliment than that can be said!
offered to stay with us during the long
overnight as my dad was preparing to leave this world and we welcomed her. We will be forever grateful for all they did for my dad and for their honest and upfront manner when dealing with the "business" side of the relationship. We were very pleased and very satisfied with our decision and would highly, highly recommend them!

Assisted living

Assisted living facilities provide care for people who aren't able to live on their own but who don't require the kind of care found in a hospital or full-time retirement home. Facilities vary significantly in quality and price.

Eventually we decided on Holland Home in South holland, IL. It was the last place we visited because I was concerned about religious affiliations. It was great, and

lives there now full time.

I was given a list of a few facilities that met my needs, and there was followup to see if I'd visited, and my impressions of each. However, after
Savannah Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
moved up here, we had a serious problem with her housing, and I'm looking for a new place, this time with memory care. I was given the same list I'd been given in January.

This company turned out to be a sort of broker for whatever place you eventually select. They were extremely persistent

in contacting us and continued sending emails and calling even after we informed them that the family member had died.

Once you contact them they seem to think you are hooked.

I received calls from
Savannah Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
stating they did contact me. So I will withdraw my review, this was during a very emotional time and I did not remember the calls. Therefore it is not fair for me to leave a negative review.

My mother complained about the care, but we liked the caregivers and hoped she would adapt to her new surroundings. Unfortunately, she died within a month of moving into
Savannah Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
. The reason for the horrible review is that the facility managers, including
Savannah Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
, and the California-based duo that appear to be in charge of the business (lawyer
Savannah Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
DeBenon and his paralegal
Savannah Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
), have not fully returned our $3500 security deposit. There was no claim my mother damaged the property, indeed she couldn't get out of bed by herself. Instead, these managers claim that too many client deaths took place in their various properties when my mother died, preventing them from paying back security deposits. They have not returned multiple calls. After a fair amount of effort on my part, including calls and a letter, they finally sent us $1500 this spring. It is now late June 2015 (my mother died in December 2014!), and they still owe our family $2000. We consider the money stolen.
I hope to save others from the horrible experience we've had with the managers of this facility. It takes a low life form to steal from the elderly and their grieving families.

I have visited here for a friend. I went on a tour of the grounds and the apartment. The apartment is rather small but very clean and they do allow pets. The food was excellent. My friend's family was very pleased with it. The marketing director,
