"I put my young black lab
in for training October 25, 2014, I picked her up on November 10, 2014. On my intake form I wrote the specific" problems I was having with
(counter surfing, severe separation anxiety), which I presumed would be addressed, based on the description offered by
was the trainer who provided me the orientation at pickup. I was not impressed with what
had learned, not
's unprofessional manner.
appeared extremely lethargic and though responsive to
's instructions, she was slow to react, and he had to tell her "no" multiple times to get her to lie down or stay. Mind you, this was in an interior room, with no windows and no distractions, after more than 14 days of "intensive training". As
and I were leaving,
told me that "the xanax should wear off in a day or so." I did not think that was appropriate. After I took
home and went through the exercises with her, my dissatisfaction with the training provided intensified. I contacted
, via Angies List, immediately. I requested a meeting with him. My request for this meeting was so that he could go through
's lessons with her and tell me if what she knew is all she should know from his program.
responded promptly, and I met with him and his head trainer,
the following day. I was informed that
's "joke" was just that, and that what
had learned was as they expected.
went through some exercised with
and she responded better with him than with
, but her reactions were delayed and he also had to correct her multiple times.
told me
is stubborn.
offered to take
back into board & training for more work, but based on
's lethargy when I retrieved her and
's "joke" I did not feel comfortable leaving her there. I worked with
multiple times/day, and had many weekly follow-up classes with
. Each time, he commented that I shouldn't have to say "no" to her so much, and that she was a very stubborn labrador. I regularly asked what to do about the behavior I didn't like (stealing food from my childrens' hands, severe separation anxiety) and was given generalized ideas (keep in down stay --
wouldn't do that) . Nothing specific to address my major issues with her behavior. Eventually I had to make the difficult decision to find
a new home- her uncorrected behavior was putting my children's lives at risk. Specifically,
had to go everywhere with use because she'd freak out and tear at her crate trying to get at me. Then, when we arrived at our destination, I had to physically restrain
while my 5yo twins exited the car without me so she wouldn't bolt out. This put my children at risk- them out of the car and me in the car. I wrote via Angies List to
before I placed
in a rescue group, asking for a refund. This was 1/1/15.
responded 1/6 that I should contact
at the Garland office regarding my problems. I emailed
via their website, and didn't get a response. I surrendered
to rescue 1/16/15 and wrote to
via Angies' List requesting a refund again.
responded with
's email address. Today (1/26) I rec'd this email from
: Hi
, We are sorry that things did not work out with
. We do not issue refunds for training. We guarantee the dog will know the basic obedience commands on leash. We have extended free lessons to the rescue that took
in. While she stayed with us for a few days, we worked her. She did all the commands very well and played in the day care with no problems with other dogs. Sincerely,
I do not believe
trained my dog as advertised, and am unable to get a refund. I will not recommend

Dog Training reviews in Peachtree City

Within a few weeks we have been able reach goals and find success training our boxer puppy with
Peachtree City Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
's help. He has been extremely helpful and direct about his goals. We are seeing great results from such a short time working with him. He definitely is very educated on what works and what does not. What we have learned is that consistency is the key and after that, it all falls into place. We would absolutely recommend his services and talents to anyone who is in need of a little help... We are definitely glad that we have crossed paths with him. He has changed our lives for sure!!!!

Class involved 8 sessions with home exercises and practice each week. Individual assistance is provided if needed. I've used four other obedience training providers over the years and

We picked up a sad 2-year old dog from the shelter and introduced him to our small pack at home. He had been a stray and was exhibiting dominant actions against our other dogs and picking a few fights. We called
Peachtree City Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
Peachtree City Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
to come out to our house and work with us and him.
We are about an hour north of
Peachtree City Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
, but she had no qualms about driving out to our house. She explained her techniques and what she wanted to attain, while also explaining why our new dog was doing the things he was doing. Within the span of an hour she had him dramatically calmer and more responsive to our requests. She also did a wonderful job of correcting some of our bad habits which served only to confuse or exacerbate the issues.
Three months later, we have elected to send Ranger to "camp" at the

facility. He will spend a couple of weeks there, working directly with

to learn voice and hand commands and, hopefully, how to interact nicely with strange dogs. We have checked in on him a few times and are highly pleased with his progress.

Peachtree City Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
is top notch. He loves dogs, he understands dogs, he can read dogs, and he can read the owners! What you get out of your dog is so much about what you put into them. The more you put into them, the happier you and they are, and your relationship can be one of the best you ever have.
His training style is reward and consequences, similar to what a good parent would be. Your pup does something good = reward. They don't....a small tug on the training collar. They want to please....they need to learn what you want them to do to please you, and you need to learn how to show them what you need. A happy dog is a dog that understands that they are NOT the alpha. A happy owner is one that knows how to be the alpha. If you can find this spot, you can have a dog that is well adjusted and lives a happy content life while bringing you tons of joy.
He is not for everyone. He requires you use a training (prong) collar. I appreciate that not everyone believes in them, but if you know how to use them they are very effective.....and if you use them correctly, they do not hurt the dog. I have used them on 4 of my GSDs, and once you settle in, it is very similar to a harness on a horse. They let the dog know which direction you are going, and what you want them to do.
He is a strong trainer with the people. He has no patience for handlers that say "my dog won't do it". The reason he is this way is people that get dogs that are not willing to put the time into training them tend to give them up because they are a "bad dog". They are not....they have a bad handler. It kills him that 11.5 million dogs are euthanized every year. 50% of dogs that are adopted, are euthanized. 3 milllion dogs a year that are under 1 year old have their owners give up on them. If you get a dog, you are responsible for training them....and it takes time and commitment. No excuses.
If you can handle this truth, he will teach you how to have a well adjusted dog. I have not one, but two GSDS pups that are 6 months old. I can take them anywhere......and people always comment on how well behaved they are. I am very proud of our work so far....and can't wait to see how far

is great! I love her style. She focuses on positive behavior training. She worked with my dogs on commands like, sit, stay, bed, off, come, find it, etc. We also worked on walking them.
My puppy was very young but still learned a lot. I plan on having her work with them again soon. She was very affordable ( we bought a package deal). Also she was very informative and provided some great information (such as where to buy harness and how to get a discount on my puppy's Spay).

I contacted her regarding our dog who had slowly become what seemed shy and/or aggressive after we moved. She asked a ton of questions to get to know my dog and myself prior to making any suggestions. She gave me a few tips over the phone and then suggested the free evaluation. From there we decided to do a few 1:1 sessions to help train US on how to handle what was not aggression, but actually anxiety!
We loved working with
Peachtree City Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
so much, we signed up for the Basic Obedience class. All went phenomenal as expected and we plan on signing up for the intermediate class in the Spring. She is kind, intuitive, professional, experienced, extremely knowledgeable, and sincerely cares about you and your pup.

I contacted the provider about socialization and training classes for my 14 week old puppy. The provider's website indicates that the puppy classes are for dogs up to 5 months and that classes are limited to no more than 8 dogs. The provider was responsive during our email exchange and I decided to enroll in a class. I was under the impression this was a puppy class with socialization opportunities since this is the service that I contacted this provider for. The first class was an orientation session with no dogs and we completed paperwork. The second class was the first session with dogs and that is when I realized that the class size was more than 8 dogs and was a mixed class with adult dogs and adolescent dogs under 1 year old. All dogs in the class were also medium and large size breed dogs. Since there was a significant age/size difference between my 4 pound puppy and the other dogs, it resulted in my puppy and I having to be isolated in a gated off area. We were isolated in this area and my puppy had no other dogs with her to socialize with and I could neither hear what the provider was saying nor benefit from the training that was going on between the provider and the other dogs in the group. From my perspective, I paid money for my puppy and I to be isolated in a gate area by ourselves for an hour and we didn't learn anything. I feel very mislead as what I received is not the service I believed I was signing up for. I signed up for a puppy class but instead this turned out to be a mixed class with adult and adolescent dogs and no dogs that were age/size appropriate for my puppy. I signed up for what I thought was a small class limited to no more than 8 dogs but there were more than 8 dogs in the class. Finally, the logistics and circumstances result in no active learning on my part or my puppies part. I expressed my disappointment to the provider in person and a few days later followed up with an email further expressing my dissatisfaction with the situation. I asked for a refund but the provider refused. I am willing to pay the provider for the two sessions attended but requesting a prorated refund as the service provided is not as advertised to me. I haven't heard back from the provider regarding the prorated refund.

The salesperson was very professional, the installer was very good at his job, the owner missed a couple of appointments to train my dog, but we had nice conversations anyway..
