"It is hard to get in to specialists. He was very professional and knew the tests to run. He had the time for me if I had questions and waited for me. He has very good bedside manners." His staff are not the greatest; they do not care about the patients side and seem to be after money. I adore the doctor.

"The staff was courteous and efficient. Dr
, on the other hand, was kinda rude and dismissive. She sat at her desk and pelleted me with questions as she used" a voice recognition program to type out her notes. She didn't always correctly repeat my answers into her voice program. When I (politely) corrected her, she seemed irritated. After a several of these wrong answer/ correction scenarios, I stopped correcting her as it became obvious she wasn't a good listener and was more concerned with completing her paperwork than actually getting the information correct. I have a very strong family history (parent, sibling, cousin ) of a somewhat rare autoimmune disease ( parent die a painful and early death from condition). I have some of the typical early symptoms and lowly elevated autoimmune tests. My reason for going to Dr
was to be evaluated and have a relationship a knowledgeable rheumatologist to keep an eye on symptoms, order tests if symptoms become more pronounced etc. She was dismissive and acted somewhat irritated as though I was wasting her time. Two years later, more systems, higher positive test results and a young adult daughter with positive test results and more of the typical symptoms. I am again searching for a knowledgeable, caring rheumatologist for both of us. It will not be Dr.
. Autoimmune conditions are frustrating to deal with and to find a specialist who will listen and take you serious is so very important. When I saw Dr
's name here, even though two years have passed , I thought I should let others know about my negative experience.

"I have been seeing the doctor for almost 2 years. He seems to know what to do to treat you. He started me on new medications that have really helped me a lot. He is a pleasant doctor" and has a friendly staff. I have never had any difficulties getting in to see the doctor. I make sure to schedule ahead so I know I can see when when I need to. They have very good lab work in the office, as well.

I have been using her for probably at least five years. She is very up to date on everything and keeps abreast of the new treatments and everything that's going on. With regard to availability, she is very hard to get a hold of. It's a nice office. With regard to punctuality, she is usually pretty good. I have an appointment scheduled with her already.

. I must go in every 3 mos. due to active problems. Dr.
Oakwood Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Since rheumatologists are in somewhat short supply in this area, he does stick to his schedule which is a busy one. He answers my questions and shows me exercises to help with my problems.
Oakwood Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
is more relaxed and takes more time with me, so I'm always happy to see her. Both check my pain level, mobility, ask & answer questions and make helpful suggestions. Their goal is to give patients the best quality of life through appropriate treatment vs. quantity of life & being in pain with lost mobility. They give me pamphlets on proposed new treatments so that I can make my own informed decisions.
My weight, vital signs and lungs are always checked. At the office, I've had the following "services": Blood drawn, joint injections for pain relief, infusions & injections for osteoporosis, X-rays, MRI scans, fluoroscopically guided (I think that is the correct name) ESI's (epidural steroidal injections) for pain, fibromyalgia diagnosed--which is hard to get a doctor willing or able to do, and supposedly most definitive after death. This diagnosis was made by Dr.

at this same practice. I'm grateful to him for his willingness to confirm it.
The office staff is mostly great.

App't. times are kept very closely, with little waiting unless you are in a room waiting for some kind of additional unplanned help. I arrived and had to wait a while. The staff was rather uninterested, but all of that was worth the wait when you consider how caring and professional Dr.
Oakwood Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
was. He took a great deal of time with me and was comprehensive. He truly cared about helping me with my problems. Upon the return visit and after labs and x-rays I was diagnosed and given options regarding treatment. Dr.

Dr.
Oakwood Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
has spectacular bedside manner! First and foremost after this first appointment I feel I've found a physician who truly sees his job as taking care of me and helping me improve my symptoms. Given that these symptoms are of an unknown cause I especially liked the fact that Dr.
Oakwood Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
's first recommendations were conservative and practical. He focused on things _I_ can do and I can do them right away (the exercises). Once the blood tests come back Dr.
Oakwood Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
said he will send an explanation of the results in the mail and I have a follow-up appointment to explore the next steps.
There is a shortage of rheumatologists in the upper mid-west and I feel very lucky to have found a doctor in whom I am so comfortable putting my trust.
As I said above, it is too early in the process to know whether the treatment has been effective and too early to evaluate the billing and account administration processes since I have not yet received my bill.
The office decor is a bit dated -- and I take that as a very good sign! To me that means money isn't being wasted on making things "pretty" but instead is being focused toward things that actually impact the care I receive.

They are wonderful. If you have an emergency, you can see any doctor. They see you and you don't have to wait. I don't think I have ever waited more than 20 minutes to see a doctor. They really know what they are doing. They are great. They are friendly and professional. Punctuality is excellent.
