We came in as Walk-in and got helped almost immediately, Filled out a few forms, got my dog weighed in and met Dr.
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
. He was very down to earth, trimmed the dog's nails did a brief exam, suggested a treatment and we were off and running. I would highly recommend this place for your pets.

I had another animal hospital begin treatemnt for a canine ear infection several weeks ago. They charged almost $300 for meds and several follow up consults. It was not getting bettter and as it turned out could never get better with that treatment course. Dr. K quickly assessed and made a recommendation based on what was best for the animal. He was correct and saved me hundreds of dollars in unnecessary treatment. There is nothing to complain about, oh - I saw three people at the front desk ready to answer phones, I can't understand what a prior reviewer said about not answering the phone.

We contacted RBVH 2 weeks ago to make a chiropractic appointment, explaining our 4 yr old whippet recently started favoring his left front paw and would sometimes show a slight limp. Because he is an athletic dog, in otherwise excellent health, we wanted to have a chiropractic visit to see what could be done to speed his recovery for a soft tissue injury or possibly a skeletal-muscular misalignment. On the day of the appointment, 30 minutes before we were to arrive at their office, some really awful attitude administrator from RBVH office called and said she needed more medical history for the consult.

? We previously sent his x-rays and other historical info regards last vet visits by email... But No, this was not going to be nearly enough. It seems that in order to have a
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
chiropractic consult requires that we also have to pay for an additional regular vet. office call and exam as well. In effect they wanted to bill double for services. We are infuriated and disgusted by this kind of sleazy manipulation. This requirement was never mentioned when we made the appointment. While our neighbors said RBVH was a good vet but very pricey, I had no idea that RBVH would stoop to such pathetic behavior of calling 30 min. before the appointment to strong arm us into paying for more services than we requested. This vet is the worst and MOST DEVIOUS we have ever come across. After this experience, we will never go to them, nor will we recommend them to any of our friends... THEY HAVE DESTROYED OUR TRUST with their bureaucratic and heavy handed policies.

NEVER TAKE YOUR PETS TO
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
!!! We took our 4 year old wheaten terrier
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
there 11 days ago to have a cyst removed from the back of her neck. She had an 8 inch incision on her neck that was jagged and the suturing looked like I would stitch up a pork roast, not what I would expect from a professional veterinary surgeon (Dr.
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
). On the following Tuesday (5 days later) we took her back to the vet because Addsion was not acting like herself and the left side of her incision didn't look like it was healing well (my wife is a Physician Assistant, so I trust her ability to assess an incision's health). We were told the incision was fine and that there was nothing wrong with her. Friday (3 days later) I took her back to the vet because the incision was creating some discharge. I was told by the nurse/tech (never once saw that doctor at any of these visits) the discharge was normal and was given a second round of antibiotics to give her. Yesterday (10 days post surgery) we had an appointment to have the incision evaluated and possibly have the sutures removed (if appropriate to do so).
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was taken back and 20 minutes later I was told the incision was fine and her sutures had been removed and that she could resume normal activity. We had not left the vet parking lot and she scratched her neck ONE time and 5 of the 8 inches of the incision opened back up. I took her back into the vet and again not seeing the doctor a tech/nurse took her back and I was told staples were being put in and a bandage on her foot to keep her from scratching it. She was given no pain meds after having staples put in her neck!! When my wife called this morning to talk to Dr.
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, after I had put in a call to him yesterday afternoon and this morning neither of which was returned, he told my wife that we were "excessively needy" and that he stands by his decision to take the sutures out when he did and that it is our dogs fault that the incision opened back up. My wife was also told that our dog shouldn't be in pain and shouldn't need any pain meds. HELLO SHE HAS STAPLES IN HER NECK!! Needless to say we are taking our chart from them and going elsewhere to find care for our precious little one. PLEASE don't LET DR.

The Dr. and staff were very welcoming, took their time answering our questions, were very sweet to our dog. They took a precautionary blood test and found the dog needed antibiotics for tick related issues. They listened when we let them know she does not do well on antibiotics, and provided some solutions. Gave her the rabies shot and new tags, and made another appointment for distemper shot. They have a websight that you can voluntarily

Both dogs, at the time they were seen, were diagnosed with allergies. Concerns with brought up with both animals about the possibility that this may be something more (possible third eyelid problem with
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, and collapsed trachea on

) but were basically brushed off as the cause being allergies. Two months after
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was seen she was rushed to Emergency Vet on 7/20/14 with severe gastrointestinal problems -which may have been related to liver disease (enzymes 3-4 times normal) and the vet, after hearing her panting, immediately said she was sure she had a collapsing larynx which had been going on for some time and the decision was made to euthanize her at that time as she was slowly suffocating and would eventually not be able to breathe at all. Due to this, gastro symptoms were not even addressed. This was the "allergy" that Dr. Brichler had diagnosed.
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, at that time, was still having eye problems even with the allergy shot and eye drops she had received. One week after
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was euthanized, 10 days after being diagnosed with "allergies",
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
suddenly went blind and was also rushed to emergency vet. This vet diagnosed her with a systemic infection that took her sight. Lymphoma was also considered as the cause. Vet stated if it were a bacterial infection and she had been treated earlier she would most likely have not gone completely blind. Maggies eyes also started bulging due to eye pressure She was treated with antibiotics and steroids to see if she would improve. She did not. One month later, on 8/20/14,
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was also euthanized -exactly one month after
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
passed. These pets had been patients of Dr. Brichler for most of their lives and had been extremely well cared for in the beginning. As this clinic gets busier, very busy, less time seems to be taken with the animals and the owners concerns. Unfortunately this time and care has diminished to the point where 2 beloved family pets within the last 2 months have suffered. These animals belong to my daughters were greatly loved and will be greatly missed. A letter regarding the above concerns and in much more detail was sent to Dr. Brichler by my daughter (
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
's owner) on 8/11/14 requesting 4 additional pets records as she is no longer comfortable using their services. Above info has been taken from that letter and I was asked to post this review as she is not an Angie's list member

On August 25th my dog had a condition (inflamed cyst on leg). The dog had been seen by the Vet at LHVS last February for almost the identical condition. I had a prescription topical spray left over from the previous visit. I called to explain the problem, explained what we were doing for the dog and received the Vet's recommendations. If not better before the weekend I need to call so the dog can be seen.

Falcon is an extraordinary vet who makes the owner and pet feel comfortable with service. His prices are competitive (cheaper) then most places in town for basic service because he cares about the community and desires people to give their pets the shots they need. My rabies shot was 12 dollars, the spay service for a one year old was 140 dollars and the appointments are only about 35 dollars. Vets are expensive but this one does his best to be accesible and take great care of your pet. I would argue better care then the crazy expensive clinics in town.

We had a 15 year old Dalmatian who one afternoon was struggling to use her back legs. We took her to a vet in
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
. They suggested options totaling $1000. After reviewing the options and recognizing we had a senior dog we elected to simply take the pain medication and see how she was in the morning. The following morning she was worse and now not only were her bad legs not working but her front legs had given out as well. She was unable to stand and could only lie on her side, she was a dog with neurological problems and suffered from seizures. The vet mentioned that if it was neurological it could result in her being paraplegic. The vet we went to was a high priced place that gave us options that did not make sense for a 15 year old dog with neurological issues. We were there for over 2 hours and we were highly annoyed. We came home and did some research on the internet and found
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
. Their website said they prided themselves on taking care of animals like their owners would and making their care affordable. That Saturday morning when our Dalmatian could not walk and looked like she had no life left in her we decided to go to
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
. When we arrived they were very caring and compassionate about our situation. They put us in a private room as they could see we were upset. They assisted in carrying our dog into the room and left us in peace until the vet was available. The vet came in and explained what they were going to do as it was obvious she needed to be put down. He stayed in the room throughout the entire time and was overly sensitive to our sadness, he offered his condolences. We then thought that perhaps they would offer affordable teeth cleaning for our 7 year old Chihuahua. The other vet we used to go to charged approximately $700 for a teeth cleaning. We contacted
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and they charged $130 (this included cleaning, mild anesthesia and antibiotics &pain medication). We took our Chihuahua before 9am and picked her up at 3pm. She was perfectly fine and her teeth were sparkling white. It is evident that
Macon Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
is a practice in a small town that offers veterinary services to families at an affordable price. They are professional and caring. I will no longer go anywhere else.
