Tried several vets in the area over the years and really like
Making the appointment:
1. Making of appointment went quickly and easily.
2. The opening hours are convenient for people who work full time.
3. The reception staff is easy to reach, professional and have your pet's details immediately accessible.
4. Appointment scheduling is usually within a day or two of the initial call.
The actual visit:
1. Reception staff quickly weighs the dog in and collects the essential details.
2. Dr.
is available to see your pet at the appointed time. I have never had to wait for any length of time.
3. Dr.
took the time to discuss the symptoms, possible tests, treatment and followup.
4. He takes a very pragmatic approach, taking into account the comfort of the animal, what treatment is most cost effective and lifestyle of the owners and pet.
Treatment options were carried out and the result was as desired.
Overall; an excellent experience with the desired results in a reasonable time and at acceptable expense.

Pet reviews in Lagrange

I was interested in a mobile vet service because my very old dog has been having accidents in the car. Dr.

asked me questions about my dog's background, examined the dog, etc. She was wonderful with the dog and very helpful in answering questions. I will definitely use her service in the future.

was late, but the time he sticks around to talk to you more than makes up for it. He even answers all my kids questions and helps educate them on caring for our dog esp since it's their first time owning a pet. They have also been consistent with follow up calls when our fur baby has an issue. We love Dr.

Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
cared for my beloved cats for their entire lives. He treated one through a serious, life threatening illness, from which she recovered and lived another 9 happy years. He is highly skilled, compassionate, knowledgeable and thoughtful in his treatment. The staff at Commonwealth is always caring and compassionate.

My cat had chronic urinary irritation and was in constant pain. My previous vet tried two antibiotics, neither of which made any difference, and seemed out of ideas. Other cat owners recommended

so I came here for a second opinion, and I am so glad I did! The doctor stayed in the office well past hours to take the time to diagnose my poor cat. She pinpointed the source of the infection, prescribed the correct antibiotic, and even took the time to take me to the back room to show me my cats x-rays. Turns out, my cat also has advanced arthritis down her spine, which may be what has caused some of the pain. Bottom line, I was preparing myself to put our beloved cat down if we couldn't relieve her pain. I believe that
Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
saved her life. She is active, happy, eating well, and out of pain. I am not sure how I feel about the previous well-intentioned vet totally overlooking the advanced arthritis or in taking so much time getting an accurate diagnosis for the infection. But, I am going nowhere but
Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
for my cat from now on. Excellent service, excellent care. (I gave them a B on price, only because they didn't strike me as terribly expensive, but they weren't cheap either. I haven't done a complete comparison.)

We recently moved here from the Dallas area with a 13 year old Miniature Schnauzer with multiple health "challenges". Our concern was finding a veterinarian who would work with what we were already doing, med-wise, and also, who would be "on the same page with us" as far as his future care - meaning, we didn't want to do anything extreme at this point in his life, with his health issues - just keep him as healthy as possible for as long as possible. Dr.

reviewed all of his medical records (a herculean task in itself, as it is very long!) and spoke to our previous vet in Dallas, and we are totally in agreement about everything. The teeth cleaning is something I was very pleasantly surprised by. They didn't put him totally to sleep, only sedated him and cleaned his teeth. This was better for him and for our pocketbook, as well! He is doing great for an old guy with a lot of health problems, including diabetes, a-typical Cushings disease, gallbladder disease, and other things. I highly recommend Dr.

I called to see if I could get my cat in to make sure she was ok after an accident and receptionist was rude. She would start to ask questions and then cut me off when I would answer stating she had a client she was waiting on. I don't normally go here as my vet is out on vacation. Maybe the actual vet is awesome but my 1st impression was soured. I want to go to a place for my pets that are kind, caring, and compassionate.

and staff are professional and show extreme care when handling my cats. Like last year, it was a great experience and such a relief to eliminate a trip to the vet's office. Thank you!

I had noticed some abdominal swelling in my 19-year-old cat just a week after we moved to RI from NYC. After checking Angie's List to find a nearby vet who could help, I called
Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
on a Monday and they were able to make an appointment for me the very next day. I liked that they specialize in cats, and indeed I found the staff and Dr.
Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
to be very knowledgable and cat-friendly.
The abdominal swelling turned out to be fluid retention, so Dr.
Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
ordered some blood work and took a fluid sample for analysis. She explained to me very clearly what tests we would do and why, and what the possible diagnoses were. She was patient and unhurried and made both me and my cat feel as comfortable as possible. When the test results came in, Dr.
Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
called me personally and discussed the results — again, answering my questions and clearly explaining the options. It turned out that my cat was having problems with her heart, so the recommendation was some initial medication and an ultrasound the following week to get more information. That was on a Thursday. I picked up the medication late in the day on Friday (due to my personal schedule), but when I got home I noticed that my cat had become lethargic. I called
Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
back to seek their advice, since I knew they were closing soon and wouldn't reopen until Monday. They offered to stay late if I wanted to bring the cat back in right then. But, not wanting to traumatize the cat with another trip to the vet if she was just tired, I decided to watch her a little longer. The staff member I was speaking with gave me the names and phone numbers for two local animal hospitals just in case I needed help over the weekend.
Unfortunately, I did need help over the weekend; I ended up making a trip to the animal ER at
Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
State Vet Specialists late that night, where they found my cat was experiencing heart failure. The staff there were also wonderful and did all they could, and I was able to bring my cat home for another day. But 24 hours later I was rushing back to the ER, and things had gone so far downhill that the best thing we could do for the cat at that point was to euthanize her. It was heartbreaking and one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I dreaded having to call
Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
back on Monday to say that we wouldn't need the ultrasound after all. In the end, I couldn't bring myself to call. I was just trying to get up the nerve on Tuesday when the mail came — and in it was a long, hand-written note from Dr.
Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
expressing her sympathy. Clearly there is excellent communication and close collaboration at work between
Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
and the other providers they're associated with, which is wonderful. But also, true caring and commitment on the part of the doctors and staff.
Obviously, my particular experience overall is not the one most pet owners hope for, but given the circumstances, I was impressed and moved — both by
Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
's knowledge and professionalism, and by their readiness to go above and beyond for their patients and families.
One small note in regard to pricing, since others have mentioned it. The pricing for both the office visit and the testing I had done were on par with prices I've paid in New
Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
, but with far, far better care received in return. I understand that some are more price-sensitive than others. But I won't hesitate to make
Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
and Dr.
Lagrange Pets Provider Name Locked
my regular vet in the future when I'm ready to commit to another cat; the peace of mind in knowing that my pet received the best possible care was worth every penny.
