Dr. Kennedy, a graduate of University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1981, trained in General Surgery at Medical College of Georgia and Georgia Baptist Medical Center. After several years of experience in Emergency Medicine in North Georgia, Dr. Kennedy settled his family in Cumming and opened Firstmed. Now located on Buford Road across from Lowe's and Home Depot, and within walking distance of Northside Forsyth Hospital, Firstmed enters its twenty-first year in 2011. We provide a comprehensive array of services including acute care of adult and pediatric injury, urgent care for acute illness, and management of wellness and chronic illness. We have on-site x-ray and lab services, as well as a full minor surgery suite where wound repair and skin care is available. The staff at Firstmed practice modern medicine in a comfortable, caring environment that recognizes your need to feel cared for by people who listen to you.
