"It went well, without a hitch. Will not hesitate to call him again. In fact, my wife asked for an estimate for a new job. He is polite, well spoken, prompt and efficient." The quality of his work is excellent!

"
was pleasant to speak with but was completely unreliable. Could never be counted on to show up when he said he would. Sent several different" crews to our house whenever he felt like it without notice and after several weeks of no one showing up, a new crew just barged into my bedroom early in the morning unannounced. In the end he just stopped showing up for the job despite his constant promises and left several tasks incomplete and left his equipment cluttered around my house. We fired him and had someone else complete the job. He left owing us $5000 and although he signed an addendum to the agreement saying that he would pay us back the full amount, he has yet to pay a dime in over 2 months. He lied an claimed he had put a check in the mail over a month ago. Never trust anything he says!!

Carpentry/woodworking

Finish carpenters can design, build and install woodwork structures in your house to enhance the quality and adorn the attractive appearance of your home. There carpenters can complete several different jobs for new homes or remodeling of an existing house.

Baseboards and molding

Baseboards and molding serve a practical function -- covering up the space where walls and floors join, as well as protecting the wall from scuffs and dents. But they also provide a decorating opportunity.

You need a general contractor - prefereably one who specializes in additions, because you have excavation, waterproofing, concrete, concrete cutting, carpentry, door and window, etc trades to coordinate.

The cost will depend a great deal on your topography around the house - if the base of the window will be above ground level at least 6 inches, then could run about $500 for a legal egress window purchase and about $1000-2000 for installation, depending on how deep into the concrete you have to cut.

If the bottom of the window will be below ground level, then to call it a bedroom (which mandates legal sized second egress and usauully at least one window)  then you will have two choices - bring it out into a solid watertight concrete storm cellar with collar to keep water out, stairs, and and weather and bug-tight cellar door that is inward-opening, which means a lot of space for stairs and landings top and bottom, or bring it out into an oversized window well at least 36 inches in diameter, and with steps to ground level, with adequate drainage and waterproofing to keep it dry. Either way, sometimes about as easy to put in an outside door as a window, and might raise property value more. Cost from $2-5,000 depending on how deep into concrete wall you have to dig, whether concrete wsall needs reinforcing with steel frame because of the depth of cut, how easy the digging is, and what your water conditions are near the foundation. The last thing you want to do is create an easy water or vermin ingress with your egress.

Dictated by Federal LAW , you will need a Licensed and EPA Certified HVAC Contractor

to make such repairs . In fact , by law , ONLY A licenesed HVAC contractor can buy or install

said eguipment , NOT A handyman nor general contractor !

YES , You should have an A.C. sleeve surrounding the through the wall unit . These sleeves will usually accompany NEW products , either as a package or an add on equipment purchase.

Contact a Licenesed PROFFESSIONAL at once !

It depends on what type of ramp you need. If it is built out of wood you could look for a carpenter or a deck company. If you are looking for a concrete ramp a mason would be what you are looking for. There are also metal ramps and I believe some medical supply companies may carry them or be able to steer you in the right direction. As for insurance coverage I am not sure. You may have coverage and would be best talking to your agent. Depending on why you need this ramp there may even be programs through your local government or even some of the local charities might help. It might be a project a local Scout Troop might help out on.

I have a 2 family house and the upstairs porch and my porch in the rear of the house needed replacing. I needed new footings and all new framing from the ground up.
Chickamauga Carpenters Provider Name Locked
responded by phone within a few days of my leaving a voicemail inquiring about his services. He came out on the 4th of
Chickamauga Carpenters Provider Name Locked
(!) to take a look.
We talked price and scope of the job,he got a quote to me within 24 hours, and started the job 3 business days later. Lucky for me someone had just backed out of an agreement and
Chickamauga Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was ready to start almost right away. He recommended a
Chickamauga Carpenters Provider Name Locked
pressure treated frame and composite decking. There was no hard sell to upgrade, he was only interested in understanding what I wanted, and how he could get it done for me. Composite decking was less than $1k more than PT decking, so that was a no brainer for me.
He immediately got to work with his helper on demo and temporary supports for a bit of the roof that needed to remain in place while the porch as built underneath. He arrived promptly every day at 8am and got to work right away. Not much sitting around.
The old porch was pretty much gone on the first day, and on the second day the framework of the new porch was taking shape. Within 2 weeks and some small delays with weather and inspection, the porch was done. At the end we talked about closing in the porch on one side, and taking care of a few minor details we discovered during the rebuild, flashing, stucco patching, etc.
Everything is glued and screwed, not a single nail gun. I can't tell you how much this means from a time and quality perspective. It takes more time, but the result is quality workmanship. The railings are super strong, the whole porch looks amazing. New stairs have 4 stringers, there's not even a tiny bit of give in the porch. The porch is incredibly solid and I couldn't be more pleased. It is now safe for my 4 yr old daughter to go out there with me when I grill, and play in the back yard.
I will be calling
Chickamauga Carpenters Provider Name Locked
again for our front porch next year, and recommending him to everyone.
A few things about
Chickamauga Carpenters Provider Name Locked
: Irishman with a slight accent, takes a wee bit of listening to get all he's saying Lifelong builder, been in the trades for 20-30 years I believe
Great attention to detail
Great job with his helper, teaching and showing and directing. At one point
Chickamauga Carpenters Provider Name Locked
stopped him from screwing a deck board, told him to back it out and do it again so that X/Y/Z did or did not happen.
Incredibly polite, always asked to use the bathroom
Trustworthy - everything he said he would do he did. We went away to vacation in New
Chickamauga Carpenters Provider Name Locked
for a week and left him keys in a lockbox on our property, no issues whatsoever.
Doesn't drink, doesn't smoke. Brings his lunch and tea every day.
He's not distracted and he stays on the job as much as possible.
Easy to talk to and didn't mind my daily checkups and endless questions on how/why he was doing things a certain way.
He has a full CSL license, even though it doesn't say so on his Angie's list profile.

Great job from start to finish, couldn't have asked for a better experience! My sales manager,
Chickamauga Carpenters Provider Name Locked
, was at my home waiting on me after work for our appointment and went over all the information. My wife wasn't home the 1st appointment so
Chickamauga Carpenters Provider Name Locked
then came out a 2nd time so my wife could look at the shingle samples. The roofing crew did an excellent job cleaning up daily, showed up before daybreak and worked until dark every day...roof looks great! My Product manager,
Chickamauga Carpenters Provider Name Locked
, was at my home every evening to go over the days work and make sure I was fully aware of what had been done. Had the same Product manager,

, for the

trim and the gutter work...same attention to detail and customer service. Made my house look like a brand new home, couldn't be happier with the service! ProRoofing worked with me on my payments, as I was coordinating with my insurance company. The office manager,
Chickamauga Carpenters Provider Name Locked
, was as nice as she could be talking to her over the phone to verify the information for my Notice of Completion form to the insurance company. Top to bottom, this was an outstanding experience and a first rate company. I would recommend ProRoofing to anyone that needs roofing or gutter work on their home!

I should have met Lest but with my work I could not leave my senior client so I talked with Lest over the phone as he was at my place. I told him what I wanted to be done, so he made the estimation and emailed me the cost which I accepted by email. Now I am waiting for him to call and tell me when he would do the job, I hope this job would be done soon before the weather changes.

My opinion of course, but for me, it was one of the worst tile jobs I'd ever seen. Grout was uneven as were many tiles. Grout was all over not just the tiles themselves, but on the walls, appliances and cabinets. I spent days cleaning up the mess and getting rid of the grout haze that was left. Next time, I'll just have to go with my gut feel and pay more.

His price was also lower than bigger "known name" companies.
