Canton Landscapers Reviews
The job took about 5 days to complete and the result is stunning. My somewhat large yard (.9 acre) is roughly a hillside and was a real mess. The curbside portion of the yard had an eyesore of a juniper bed, the entire yard suffered from very poor drainage and had a few severe depressions due to trash pits left behind by the home builder (1998). Due to terrible drainage (i.e. non-existent to terrible grading) the yard had lost much topsoil, making it impossible to grow grass. For the most part the yard was a dusty hardscrabble mess.

We felt it was very expensive for what we received.
I was concerned that there was too much rock and too hard a look. He took that concern seriously but explained that the stone area needed to be that large -- the lines need to follow a flow and the waterfall is 6-7 feet wide. However, he came up with a large flat rock that he positioned in a way to allow for a large planter to soften that line. And the planter would get splash form the waterfall so it would not need to be watered on a daily basis. He went several places to get the "right" cascading japanese maple for the other side -- one that will fill in and grow over the rock. And he found a way to line some of the rock area and put some dirt among the rocks to plant a few creeping plants.
There was not a planting plan when he started so the total cost was not there. He did go to the nursery and pick out plants that he thought would give a correct look and brought them back -- he told me if I did not want something that he would change it out but we let him have free reign -- I knew he could visualize it better than I could.
We live on about 2 acres and it is a wooded lot -- no grass. He suggested that we clear out some of the undergrowth to get a better view of the house as you come up our driveway -- which is quite long. We had never thought about that but when he suggested it it made good sense -- so we told him to do that as well. We had a japanese red
The people who work with him are his employees -- not subs or day laborers. He is licensed and has insurance. Everyone was respectful and spoke english.
The only thing -- and it is a little thing -- is that there was no fertilizer used in the plantings -- I would have provided this to him if I had known they did not have any. However, I went around afterwards and fertilized the plants -- was an easy job to do.
We are very pleased with
