me an appointment for 10 AM Sat Morn. He arrived earlier then anticipated. He
got right to work when he arrived, and had my refrigerator repaired in a half
hour. the price was much less then I anticipated, and I was very happy with all
aspects of his service
8/20/14 Oven not working again. Original repairman no longer working for different repairman came briefly looked, listened and said it did not appear the fan was working and previous repairman should have checked it the last time. He left saying he would do some research and call us Monday. He never called. My husband left a msg on his cell phone with no response. I then called the office on 9/11/14 and spoke with employee who said she would call repairman and call me back. No call back. My husband called the office on 9/12/14 and spoke with her again and she said repairman was MIA and she would send someone else out on 9/16/14. I took the phone and asked her if it was typical that they had problems retaining good repairmen!
Bottom line I think I will call and cancel the upcoming appointment after thinking it over all weekend!
had blown - he said it was likely just old (didn't really spend any time to troubleshoot it). He left, and less than a week later the dryer stopped heating again. I did some quick checking on the internet and found information that suggested that when the fuse blows the thermostat and thermistor should be replaced at the same time. I ordered a kit on Amazon for $20 and did the job myself - way less hassle than having to miss
ridiculous! I would not recommend to anyone else - on the contrary I would advise people to avoid
This is when things got weird. A few minutes later, I get a call him from him, and he tells me that he's fine with my message, but that if he does has to come out in a week from now, he'll have to charge me double for breaking my appointment. Now, that's just weird and vindicative. I told him that made no sense. He was receiving almost two days notice, and he hadn't done a thing to earn a service visit fee. I also told him not to worry that I wouldn't be calling him again. Obviously, I do not recommend this service provider.
I also find it a little upsetting that only found glowing positive reviews on this guy on Angie's List. I'm posting this review to forewarn others.
This is the second time we have used
Attempted to contact them on August 29, and again September 3, via Angie's List and heard back nothing. Also attempted to use the Angie's List schedule appointment feature to no avail. After not hearing anything from the company using online tools, picked up the phone on September 8 and made an appointment for Friday. Was told to call back on Friday morning to get a 2 hour window - a nice touch so we wouldn't have to wait all day.
On Friday morning (September 12), called and was told to expect service between 10 - 12. Called the company at 11:42 to make sure there was not a problem. While I was on the phone, the technician arrived.
The technician was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Professionally dressed and took care not to damage or dirty anything. Replaced a defective ice maker under warranty and had the paperwork ready. Had replacement part on his truck ready to go. Took the time to verify that the replacement ice maker was working properly before leaving. Total time about 10 minutes.
Overall I wish that the company was more responsive to their online email and schedule services under Angie's List. Once I got them on the phone things went relatively smoothly. Would suggest a courtesy call if technician will be running later in the lime slot. But no complaints or issues with the technician once they arrived. The technician was quick, efficient, and top notch.
