Window & Door Reviews in Augusta

Great. Window arrived when promised, installers arrived when scheduled, shutters came in the wrong size but sales rep,
, handled immediately and went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied with the replacements. Overall, very professional company, quality product with fair price. After five estimates and learning more about windows than I ever wanted to know, I am completely satisfied with my decision to use
- Judith M.

First rep was inconsistant in offerings and price and did not return calls. I requested another rep. Enter
Wells- a kind professional, concerned about seeing the entire operation through to the end. Window installer was also kind and did a great job. 10% discount offer to Angie's list members was not honored; I was told I was given the lowest price possible. The price was fair and less than their competitors even without the discount.

The sales associate was very helpful and did not push hard to make a larger purchase. The work was not done on the day scheduled due to weather problems, but the company was out the very next day to complete the job. They finished in less than two hours and the workmanship was excellent. I have also used

to put storm windows and new siding on a rental property. In some cases their prices are slightly higher than competitors, however, I have never had any maintenance issues with any of their work and the product is top quality.

Overall, it went great. I almost didn't go with them at first because the first salesman that came was new to the company and not very knowledgeable. However, only because my son and daughter-in-law encouraged me, I asked for a second visit with a more experienced salesman. The installation went very smoothly, and they cleaned up thoroughly. There were a few screens that didn't fit quite right; and I received them within a week. This is a wonderful improvement to my home.

It was fine. We didn't go with them but they were fine. The salesmen that they sent over to the house was new to the company and he didn't really have the answers to the questions that I had. He had to go and come back. He

it out a lot longer than I wanted it to be. I had real specific questions because we had several estimates before we were going to make a decision.

The guys showed up on time, worked steadily, were pleasant and professional. Problem solving helped when there was the inevitable snafu when working with a house from the 1970's.

Wells was my contact with this company, he came to the house several times to measure and remeasure to be sure the new windows were made to the correct size (
Augusta Windows And Doors Provider Name Locked
is the only window company in
Augusta Windows And Doors Provider Name Locked
that manufacture their own windows here in town, all the others order them so if there is a problem you would have to wait for shipping back and forth, that is a big part of why I went with this company.. that and they had the best price between
Augusta Windows And Doors Provider Name Locked
, Window World, and one other I cant remember the name of right now, for a comparable product).
I was extremely satisfied with the quality of the new windows and the time frame in which they were installed (only had to take 1 day off work to be at home for the install). I am glad to have my new windows, they look very nice and hopefully will make a difference in my power bills, although I have not seen that reflected in any bills as of yet.
The install crew is apparently contracted out by
Augusta Windows And Doors Provider Name Locked
(they just make the windows I guess?), and I was not at all happy with the condition in which they left my house and property. There was broken glass from some of the old windows breaking during removal, both inside my house on the floor and outside in the front and back yard. I found multiple nails in the yard and driveway where I park my car. Also, since the old windows being removed were old enough to have lead paint on them, Mr.
Augusta Windows And Doors Provider Name Locked
gave me a brochure about safe practices for renovating with lead paint when he first came out to give an estimate for the job. Essentially none of these practices were followed by the install crew-- nothing was contained (obviously, since it would have caught the broken glass had it been sealed off like it was supposed to be!) and there were paint chips ALL OVER my house and yard. I recently got a small puppy who tries to eat everything he finds on the ground, so this was a very big problem for me (I do believe the puppy had some symptoms of lead poisoning such as stomach cramping and nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, but the vet said it would probably be a self limiting episode with no long term effects as long as I was able to remove the source of lead from his environment so he was not continually exposed).
So I called

and spoke to Mrs.
Augusta Windows And Doors Provider Name Locked
several times. She informed me then that the install crew is contracted out by their company and said she would "talk to" the person who had been in charge of the install at my house. She also put me in touch with a gentleman named
Augusta Windows And Doors Provider Name Locked
who I believe is another contractor they use, and he came out a few days later and did as thorough as possible of a job of cleaning up the mess the other crew had left. I was very pleased with the effort
Augusta Windows And Doors Provider Name Locked
put into trying to clean up my property, but at that point my dogs and myself had been exposed to several days of the environment left by the original crew. They also left the old windows after removing them (both storm windows and wooden windows) leaning against my 6ft wood fence, which is way too much weight to put on such a structure and was causing my fence to sag, so I had to move all of the windows off of it myself, and am glad I did because it was almost a full week later before they came by and finally carted off all the old windows and debris from removing them.
Overall, I thought the condition the install crew left my property in was just absurdly unprofessional. I understand those workers are not directly employed by

company, but I would have appreciated an offer of discounting the job since it was performed so poorly. Mrs.
Augusta Windows And Doors Provider Name Locked
seemed to think that was ridiculous since she said the install crew were just contractors not

Company employees. The windows themselves are wonderful, I have not had any trouble with them and am quite pleased with the final product. I was also pleased that they were able to install all 11 in one day, but I wouldve preferred it to take longer and have actually done it the right way. I am not sure I would use this company and their contractors (who, in my opinion, they are responsible for and should be accountable for the quality of work done by people they hire out) again in the future due to the problems with cleanup after installing, the failure to follow EPA regulations on containing lead paint renovations, etc. and what I view as a sort of bare minimum done to rectify the situation by sending the gentleman
Augusta Windows And Doors Provider Name Locked
to cleanup after the original crew. That said, I will consider using them again when I get around to replacing the rest of the windows here because they had a good price and good product, and I feel that now I am aware of how the install/removal of old windows should be done and I can make sure I watch what they are doing so I make sure they do it right next time otherwise I will make a stink about it during the fact, not after!

A baseball was thrown thru an upstairs csaement window. The window had to be customed built as our house is 25 years old and that type of window was no longer available. Several trips were required to get an estimate to remove 1 upstairs roll out window and replace with 1 double pane casement window with LoweEglass, paint window and trim same color as house. Estimate of $1800.00 was provided on January 17th, 2012. The replacement window was installed March 3rd, 2013. Very satisfactory. The installer also repaired a screen door while there at no charge.
