"My cat had gotten sick and they had ran tests and told me that they could not find anything wrong her. Then my cat continued to be ill and they ran another test" days later and then that's when they notified me that she was 50% better. This whole process and tests was over a time span of 6 months and my cat passed away due to it.

Together, we made decisions on my dog's behalf and I really felt like I had a partner in all of this. She gave me discounts on his later surgeries and found some financial assistance for me as well. She always calls me back the same day if I have a question about his leg... no matter how big or small. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr.

Hi

The first answer is pretty thorough but I would like to add a few points.

First.. the type of food you are feeding your dog may be the key.  If you are using a food that is grain, rice or corn based in the first three ingredients, please change to a food that is meat or chicken based.  Many dogs are allergic to grain, rice, wheat and corn and these things are used as primary ingredients in many well known, name brand dog foods.  Secondly, all treats that have these ingredients should be cut out.  It takes weeks to months before a food change can show results so you must be patient.  Jumping from one food to another will be counter-productive.

Some dogs are so allergic to flea or other insect bites that one or two bites can cause a severe reaction.  Once the itching/scratching cycle begins, it is hard to stop it.  Benadryl is good but I suggest liquid form.  You can get it inexpensively at one of the dollar stores.  The pills take time to break down in the digestive system so you get better and faster results with the liquid. One tsp= 5cc and most dogs of average size can tolerate that much and more if the dog is a larger breed.

Allergy testing is very expensive and most dogs will test positive to some things.  That does not mean that the itching is coming from those things as many things in the environment can trigger positive test results.  Breaking the cycle of itching is primary and that can be done with prednisone ( short term and last resort after benadryl and bathing), allergy shots( same deal, last resort after easier methods).   This spring and summer have been particularly hard, weather-wise.

Good luck!

After you search for the company, you should get the "no results" page. Scroll down just a little bit, and you'll see a button and a link that say "Add this provider." Click on that to add them to the List! Thanks for the great question.
?
I'm really sorry! It looks like we made some site changes I hadn't noticed before and it made things just a little more confusing (for me, too!). We'll have to look into this to make it easier.
In the meantime, here's what you do:
1) Look for the Submit a Report button. It's yellow and on the right-hand side of the page.
2) Search for the animal cancer care clinic you're looking for. The search box should be inside a yellow bar.
3) You should see a list of potential matches, but on top of those, there should be "add a provider to the List" text in blue, which is where you'll click to get to the add page.

Let me know if you have any trouble. Sorry, again, for this being so confusing.

Dr.
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
gave the cat his shots and then proceeded to check my dog. He did several tests on her and then prescribed some steroids for her to take orally. I have used this Vet for years. He was the Vet for our farm when we raised cattle. He is very professional and friendly. His office staff is very knowledgeable and friendly also.

I love this place! I'm so busy, I stress out sometimes worrying about taking the best of care for my dog, Tanzy. Dr.
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and her team are up-to-date about everything available out there like options for flea/tick prevention I can administer quarterly and notifying me when it's time to order more. Then efficiently replacing her dog tags when we lost them at the park. That's all in addition to the highest quality customer care and service from her team for medications, proactively ordering food and treats, and employing the kindest, gentlest and caring group of professionals I've had the privilege of knowing. Thank you so much for doing what you do because as a responsible pet parent, makes my job a lot easier so there's more time for LOVE!

Very good experience. My vet of about 25 years retired, so I had to find a new vet. I had put it off, but
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was not doing well - I called and got in that afternoon. They had time to do my other kit's annual checkup as well, so I took in both cats. Dr.
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
(vet tech) were very caring and thorough. The doc explained the tests she thought would help with
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
's diagnosis, and was careful to tell me how much each cost before proceeding. The in-house lab facilities saved me a lot of money - my last annual visit for two cats, with just an exam and rabies shots, was over $450. When I've had to have blood work done, it was always around $200 for just that because my other vet had to send it to a lab. So this was a nice change. I did have to wait a half-hour or so past the appointment time, but they put us in the exam room and gave me a bottle of water (plus they have wi-fi), so the wait wasn't a big deal. And Dr.
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
wasn't in a rush when she got to us, so I have no complaints. Another nice thing about the in-house lab is that the results were ready before I left, so no worries. All the staff was welcoming and professional - I'm very happy with Dr.
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
as my new vet. Highly recommended.
Update:
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
had a quick decline shortly after this visit. I talked to Dr.
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
on the phone and then went to see her - Dr.
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
wasn't available. She did an x-
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and he was in bad shape, she sent us home with pain meds so we could have a weekend. (Dr.
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was wonderfully kind and loving as she gave me the news, and she explained exactly what was wrong and treatment would be expensive and not a long term help.) Unfortunately, the meds had no effect, so I had to take him in to be euthanized. Dr.
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
is the vet who performed the procedure. I know this is not a great outcome, but wanted to add it because all three EDVC vets I saw were responsive and compassionate.
My only suggestion is that euthanasia be moved to a quieter room, if possible. We were right next to the waiting room with barking dogs and lots of activity.
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was too sick to care, but I would've preferred a quieter place. Since we did not plan this, though, the usual place might've been in use.
I spent about $600 from exam through cremation, including vet exams, blood work, x-
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, and several kinds of shots. It's a lot of money, but a great deal less than I would've paid at my previous vet.

Most recent visit was a wellness visit with some minor grooming. My cat is a retired Ragdoll breeding queen. She was spayed and vetted when I got her in 2013 when she was 5 years old. When I took her to
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
for her annual checkup and vaccines a year later she was also evaluated for dental health, something I have always done for my cats. She did not have a lot of visible
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
but did have some deep pocketing around some molars. When she went back for her cleaning x-rays revealed substantial bone loss and chronic infection under the bottom molars, and they were removed. The surgery included a 2-week followup to check on the healing process and this revealed that the upper molars were now digging into the the bottom
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, so she was scheduled for another 2-week followup. The bottom
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
remained irritated -- the techs held her mouth open to show me her full mouth, and it hurt me to see the sores on her lower
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
with the little tooth indentations in them. Meanwhile, my cat was more irritable than usual and was clearly uncomfortable. Dr.
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
said that this was an unusual complication but we could wait a while longer to see if the bottom
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
healed, or we could go ahead and remove the top molars. I chose the latter because it was clear that
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was suffering and it appeared to me that we were dealing with a structural anomaly in her mouth that perhaps contributed to the formation of the gum pockets that let in the infection in the first place.
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
Doctor's are very upfront about all of their treatments -- I was given full copies of all oral x-rays and clear explanations of their treatment protocols. They provide excellent pain protocols for dental surgery, and both surgeries and recoveries went very smoothly for me and
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
. Everyone in the practice was very loving with my cat. They are conservative in their recommendations for various routine vaccines and preventatives, taking into consideration what is appropriate for each individual cat. The office is clean and home-like. I have to believe
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was suffering some discomfort from the unseen dental problem under her bottom teeth when I got her because once her mouth was made completely comfortable with her second surgery her personality quite rapidly changed from being easily irritated, nippy and moody to being a
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, sweet and loving cat. The cost for all her dental work was about $1500, but this was comparable to what I had paid in the past to another cat vet practice for quality feline dental work. It was money well spent for the improvement in the quality of life for both cat and owner. I feel confident that my cat is in excellent hands at

They were kind and considerate. They were empathic. I even sent them a letter letting them know how much I appreciated their time. It was a sad situation and they made it bearable. I then received a card from them too. I wished I could give them an A++.

Despite her LSU degree (and decorated restroom), I love
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
(and now Dr.
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
also) and the girls at
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
.
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
has been the only vet my old lab
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
ever knew and was there with me, sitting on the floor when we had to let
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
make the trek across the rainbow bridge. I remember
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
crying almost as much as I did and when I said, "I'm ready," she responded, "I'm not." When I would drop
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
off for the day before work so she could be fit in for her injections and whatnot, I'd return to pick her up only to find
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
resting beneath the receptionist's feet--not in a kennel. I'm not sure if they considered
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
a part of their family or they were a part of
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
's family.
She beautifully balances individual love and care with an objective medical opinion and common sense approach.
She supports animal rescues by being one of the vets who raid puppy mills and the like. She takes in every animal left on her doorstep and rehomes or takes to the Humane Society. She's a good person with a huge heart.
When I say, "Wanna go see
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
?" my current pup goes nuts--wagging tail, jumping, sprinting, stomping. She is genuinely excited about going to visit the vet! There is no doubt, the girls at the office have a lot to do with that--
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
,
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and the rest are absolute pet angels. They care for and about your pets as much as you do. They are engaged and want to make a difference. This isn't a job for them so much as it is a calling. They are the nicest, most accommodating vet staff you could assemble.
There is literally no other place I would want to take my furry family members.
These ladies aren't like family, they are family.

Our dog had a serious intestinal problem. She eventually reached the point where she was vomiting profusely (of every color and scent), and lost all interest in eating and drinking for around three days. Normally lively, at her worst she only wanted to
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
down outside in an isolated spot, sometimes in her own vomit. She was in terrible shape.
Another veterinarian nearby saw her and would have needed over $600 only in order to run tests, and the subsequent treatments would have been far more expensive than that, without much likelihood of success. We declined that.
We came to Dr. Sekut later that day--he worked us in even though he was booked--and he understood that we wanted to save our dog, but did not have an unlimited budget. Without running all the diagnostics that he ideally would have liked to, he narrowed it down to a few of the most likely possibilities, and gave a number of treatments that would be most likely to help.
The story is longer; we went in for a few more visits, and at times we thought our dog wasn't going to make it. But eventually the treatments started to kick in fully, and after about 60 hours, our puppy had fully revived. Thin but lively and eager to eat and drink, she held everything down, and started getting her strength back.
I am leaving out a lot of the "extra mile" services Dr. Sekut provided throughout all of this. He is clearly a man who cares about animals and people, and is willing to work incredibly hard and use his considerable skills to help as much as he can. He has my highest recommendation.
