Dr
and his staff are the best vet we have ever taken our pets to. We also board our pets there. You never know what goes on when you board your pets somewhere but here is what I witnessed while waiting to use the car wash next door and watching the
who takes care of the boarded pets. I noticed this
walking and playing with a dog then she sat down and petted the little guy and hugged him! Now wonder my dogs love going there! The medical care given at BPAH is extraordinary. Our sweet little
(11 year old Dachshund) had Cushings Disease for 7 years. The compassionate and reasonable care(Dr.
spent his own time researching the most cost effective medicine we could use)was with out equal. If we ever had to transfer out of the Twin Cities-I could deal with a new dentist, doctor etc. but finding a new vet's office as great as BPAH is impossible They are the BEST.

Our elderly cat had
cancer, and we knew his time on earth was limited. I contacted Dr.
Friday evening to inquire about her availability, and ended up calling back an hour later since our cat was declining rapidly. She explained everything--how she did the euthanasia, including where she did the injections, her fees and charges, what types of payment she accepted (cash and checks only) and the options for the body.
We live in Waukesha, and given the highway construction that weekend, it took about an hour for her to arrive. My husband had never seen the procedure, so I asked her to explain it again to him. She asked for a towel and garbage bag (in case he released his bladder) first. When we were ready, we sat next to our cat while she gave the injections. He went quickly, after he was gone, Dr
the room so we could have time to say our final goodbyes.
We appreciated the kindness and concern the doctor showed us during this stressful time. She did not rush us, even though it was later on a Friday night. She took care in wrapping his body in a towel and loading him into her car. {She works with a pet cemetery and handled the body/transport.) A few days later, she mailed us a nice card. When the ashes were ready, she met me in a park and ride near my workplace.
Our total cost was $420. $20 of that was for a custom paw print, which is optional. $30 was for mileage. There was an extra charge for an after-hours visit, but we felt the price was fair given the time and distance.
Before this experience, I would never had thought to consider an at-home euthanasia, but it seemed the right thing to do in our situation. Without hesitation, I would recommend Dr.

My service dog was having health issues and our veterinarian sent us here.
Rocky had to stay over night but they saved his life. They ran test and it showed he had an enlarged heart.
They sent us to Texas A & M and they put in a pacemaker.
Without this animal hospital I am not sure if he would of made it.
Rocky was back to his job in no time. I can not thank them enough.

Dr
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
took wonderful care of my dog. He always answered my questions and treated me with respect. His office staff were also very caring and supportive when it was time to put my good friend to sleep. They always tried to make every effort to keep dogs that were a little more aggressive away from other pets in the waiting room. When I adopt a new dog I will definitely be going back to
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
for the care of my pet.

With out three Rocky would of died. I am grateful to all of them.

It went amazing! The vet and vet assistant were courteous, friendly, and well equipped to deal with all of my dogs. They were efficient, and took care of all of my dogs within a very reasonable amount of time. It definitely saved me time and hassle, since they come to your house. My dogs loved the service, and they will even come into your house to help keep nervous dogs calmer during the exams. They literally have everything they need - it is a mobile surgical unit as well as a vet clinic. I will definitely be using them for my dogs' dental work, vaccinations, and all future treatments.

Spot is a 10 year old male cat who became mine when no one wanted this handsome kitty while I was fostering him and trying to get him adopted. Due to his early life, he has never welcomed strangers and is not willing to get into a carrier to take him for vet visits. A house call vet handled him for years (with quite a fight), but due to apparent dental problems, I thought he should be seen at an office where they could do the dental work.

is great because the 'dog threat' is not an issue, the office is convenient, and in a pinch, there is a mobile vet available. The vet and a technician checked him out and suggested what shots were needed, and since he does go outdoors, flea and deworming treatments were also on the list. His remaining teeth are not good and he has a gum infection. The vet said it would be another visit and $400 to have his teeth removed. The people in the office were very professional and gracious dealing with my nervous cat. Spot may never appreciate going there for a visit, but he will certainly feel much better when his dental problems are over.

I brought my 6-yr old completely healthy Golden Retriever in for dental cleaning which I have done on a regular basis with the vet who previously owned
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
. This was my first visit with the new vet. I dropped her off in the morning and went to work returning at the end of the day to pick her up. She was still so sedated and lethargic, she could barely walk. Every other time she had had her teeth cleaned, she and my other dogs had recovered within an hour. I could barely get her to walk after a few hours at home. I called Dr.
Augusta Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, told her what was happening, and she came over to my house. She administered a drug to reverse the effects of the sedation. My dog became violently ill within minutes. I had to rush her to Animal Emergency. After they examined her, the doctor came to tell me that she had never seen a dog so over-sedated in her practice and that they needed to keep her overnight and administer fluids to flush it out. When I picked her up the following day, my poor dog could not even swallow water or eat without immediately choking and vomiting it up. I brought her to another highly recommended veterinary practice and the vet I met there examined her, took x-rays, ran some tests and determined that her esophagus was so badly damaged during the intubation from the breathing tube for the dental cleaning that she needed to be brought down to Texas A&M as they have doctors there who specialize in a procedure to open the esophagus up, much like an angioplasty. Upon arriving there and the doctors examining her, they reached the same conclusion - her esophagus was so damaged that without the procedure, she would not be able to eat normally. She had already begun to loose weight. I stayed there with her two weeks while they performed the procedure 4 times after which the esophagus had to scar over, then be reopened in order to allow her to swallow. That hospitalization, 4 surgeries, plus my expenses for the duration only cost me $6000. She can now eat, but I still have to make a pudding like mixture for her in order for her to swallow 3 years after this episode. I am reporting this only now as I just joined Angie's List and finally found a forum where I could air my grievance. I feel better already.
