"This project should have been an easy one. I just wanted to freshen up the baths and stage the house for resale. I agreed to the price
quoted" but did not expect so many errors whether in ordering or in delivery. She blamed others and billed me for everything, including hours of ironing for drapery hanging at her hourly rate. She billed me for the granite ahead of time and held it instead of giving it to the granite co. When I called the granite co for a refund they said they did not have the money. I was so upset by all of the delays that my husband and I decided to terminate her service.

"
came to my condo to provide ideas of how to re-decorate my loft space. Which he did.
wasn't able to offer a" lot of ideas, but the ideas he offered were helpful. In fairness, my space is very limited in what can be done.

I know you said you didn't want a realtor but I do know someone who is good.  Her name is Pam Hunt and she is with William E. Wood.

Otherwise I would check out interior designers.  They could make suggestions and outline some finer details that could help you stage your home.

In the meantime start packing away those personal momentos and pictures.  Clear and clean the walls.  Go with a neutral paint color throughout the house.  Oyster by Behr is a classic.  Start getting rid of clutter.  If you haven't worn it in 3 years or used it in 5....pitch it.  Depending on how long you have lived in your home the accumulation of "things" could be tremendous. Donate your unwanted and unused to a thrift store.  It is tax deductible. Get appliances off the counters in the kitchen.  Buyers want to imagine "their" things sitting there.  Get rid of heavy drapes and go with  sheers consistent throughout the house.  Make rooms look larger by chucking some furniture.  Sell it or put it in storage until you have moved.  How is the floor?   Carpet removed may reveal beautiful hardwoods that are in high demand right now.  Pets?  Get someone to come give you the "sniff" test.  We grow acustomed to the smell of our house and might not recognize pet stinkies. Make everything shine by cleaning thoroughly, and let in the light.  Bright rooms are inviting.  Dark rooms are depressing. These things will give you a head start and clear your mind for some good ides.  Good luck with your interior designer.

I have lost count of how many kitchens I have remodeled and I prefer Brushed Stainless Steel sinks. Polished will show scratched more  and with the brushed finish if you wipe with the grain with a milld scrub pad and an old time product called Bar Keepers Friend the look good almost forever. If you have any concerns about scratches in the bottom you can use a grid when needed, most sink manufacturers make them for their sinks. You say you have stains in a solid surface siink and it is probably the older generation. The newer ones have a high stone content to the mix and are less prone to this but I still prefer stainless.

Unclutterer had a post about this a few months back. While I didn't use the photo gallery method she suggested, I did check out the comments to find some other interesting solutions: http://unclutterer.com/2011/04/04/easily-hang-an-organized-photo-gallery-with-the-perfectpicturewall/

met me at my home only a couple of days after calling her for help. She was prompt and professional. She listened to my needs and guided me to ideas for dining room tables and chairs online that worked with my budget, style and functionality. She suggested I use a couple of pieces that were in the room which saved on my budget.
Auburn Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
also helped me choose a light fixture for over the dining room table and called her electrician to see if it would work with the exisitng electrical box. In addition, she helped me with a light fixture in the entry way near the dining room and gave me ideas for table decor. I'm already receiving compliments on my new dining room!
In the past,
Auburn Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
has helped update our kitchen and family room areas helping choose new countertops, backsplash, family room furniture pieces and helping me place existing wall, shelf and tabletop decor. We have used her contacts with electricians for indoor and outdoor lighting and granite countertops. She's also guided me to stores that carry our style for fixtures and furniture.
I have had many people comment on our home decorating updates and my sister-in-law who had never seen our Arizona home, said it was like walking into an updated home from a HGTV show. I would highly recommend

. She makes the process very easy and fun!

Everything went better than I expected. Since I kindof knew what I wanted but had no idea what I was doing,
Auburn Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
walked me through the process. She gave me ideas on color, textures and what was trending, but also advice on improvements if I wanted to sell. Of course budget and quality was important. If something I liked was out of my range, she offered alternatives that looked and worked just as well and sometimes better. Also, she itemized the estimate so I knew exactly what the costs were. If I added or took away items that was also noted, so I knew where I stood at all times as far as the budget went.
And the guys were great. They were friendly, respectful of me, my house and my cats! They were good workers, professional, did good quality work, cleaned up after themselves, and then hauled all the trash away. There were a couple set backs due to back orders and more product being ordered, but all in all the project was finished in a timely manner.
I was a little hesitant at first, but as time went on I looked forward to the transformation. I am still marveling at how beautiful my house looks. It's really fun! I had a great "remodel expeience" and highly recommend

This was the first time I ever worked with a professional interior designer, so I was a little nervous at the start.

She is very professional and knowledgeable in all she does and was willing to listen to my ideas and concerns as the project progressed. came out for two separate one hour visits to talk with us about our upcoming remodel. This is our first time using an interior designer, and it was a great experience. She is very professional and willing to work with your taste/personality to get a good result overall. We will definitely continue to use her services in the future for other projects.

Working with BlankPage Design/Build was a frustrating experience. Once the project began the promised daily communication was lacking. I would have to reach out repeatedly to get a status and often the right hand (labor) did not know what the left hand (mgmt) was doing leaving us wondering what was going to happen from day to day. The end product is beautiful but the cost and time overruns (was supposed to take a month - took 6 months and we are still waiting on final punch list items to be addressed but they no longer respond to our messages) have left us beyond frustrated.

She called to let us know she would be 5 minutes late (
Auburn Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
love great customer service). She came right in a got to work. Ask us questions about what look we were going for and pulled out color books to help us decide colors. She is $175 an hour (it took about 2 hours to complete everything) which isn't cheap, but she was worth every penny. We out together color schemes for 9 different rooms. The colors she helped us select came out beautiful. Then she cut out the color swatches and attached them to a folder that she provided us with and also sent an electronic copy. I highly recommend

We hired
Auburn Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
(
Auburn Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
.) after we moved into our newly built dream home. She came in and very quickly assessed exactly what I needed in each room. We focused on window treatments first and then went on to furniture. We are taking things room by room to keep in line with our budget.
Auburn Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
is very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. She is responsive. She is quick to put together your info sheet with items and pricing and has equally professional installers. It's so nice that the only waiting you'll have to do is for any of your custom items to be made- which is to be expected. When you hire
Auburn Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
, you feel like you are her number one client. She puts together amazing fabrics, textures, colors etc. She really took note of my style and is picking colors and patterns that I like. I was so pleased when I saw the layout of what she had put together for me because I felt like it was exactly what I would have picked out if I could have done it myself. My only "B" grade is for price simply because it is easy to spend a lot of money. It may be an unfair grade because all of the hourly rates and prices are discussed up front so you know what you are paying for. The price seems high, but I believe in the value of the products-
Auburn Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
's expertise, time, and the investment in well made furniture and other items. I will continue to use her for many more rooms in my home.
