crew was prompt and it was evident right away that they knew what they were doing. Taking care to not damage any structures within the" fall zone was impressive and their clean up after the tree removal was thorough. . Most impressive is the speed in which they crew worked. They are "all business" about the tree removal business and I would highly recommend them.

"Rock came on time and gave me an estimate of services and talked me through the trimming and shaping of the trees on my property. I had three estimates and his" was the best and he seemed to most knowledgeable and straightforward. I took a night to review the beds and hired him the next day, they put me on the schedule about ten days hence. That day Rock and a large crew of men came with their trucks and machinery on time and worked efficiently and quickly. There were a few things I wanted Rock to look at that I hadn't worked into my estimate and he was very helpful and conscientious. Absolutely the kind of service people who go the extra mile to make sure the job is done well and make customers for life.

Hiring to trim trees? A how-to guide

Follow these tips to find a tree service that will clip with care and leave you with dollars for the rest of your landscape.

Tree Care and Services

Trees grow slowly so you can't afford to make a mistake by planting them in the wrong location or overlooking something that puts the tree at risk. Tree care is something most homeowners can do on their own, but an expert should be called if a tree is showing signs of disease or if limbs need to be removed.

Improper trimming leaves a dangerous situation for homeowners and can damage your trees.

Trees and above-ground power lines can safely coexist, with a little care.

I would strongly suggest sending your neighbors a certified letter stating that, per your earlier conversation, you consider this tree to be a hazard due to its proximity to the power lines.  Then, when and if something bad does happen, you will have a record of having informed them of it and they won't be able to say "we didn't know."

You say the county has told you it is the neighbor's problem.  Did you contact the local electric company?  They should care very much about the situation.

I would also recommend taking lots of pictures showing the proximity of the tree to the wires and that it is obviously dead.

Dead trees do sometimes stay vertical for a very long time, but it sounds like a tense situation for you.  I understand your desire to not inflame the situation, but it doesn't sound like there is anything more you can do that won't have the potential to do so.  So it becomes your responsibility to look after your own interests in the most reasonable way possible.

For my money, never ? I do a walk-around yearly in the summer (when easy to work on and before the heavy fall winds in our area) and look for trees with dead crowns, losing branches everywhere but at the crown, brown branches (evergreens) or leafless branches, leaning trees, trees with visible rot, trees with major bark loss, trees with seriously damaged or eroded away roots, etc. If none of those symptoms, then I call our 100 or so trees good for the year.

Of course, the bigger the trees and the likelihood of house damageor powerline loss (especially in winter) if there is a major branch or tree fall comes into play also. I trim and cut my own trees when needed regardless of size, so my level of confidence in being able to handle anything comes into it.

If you are worried about one or more trees, call an arborist to check them out - then I would say unless there is evidence of damage - ESPECIALLY leaning trees or major branches not leafing like the rest of the tree - I would not worry having them looked at more frequently than every 10 years or so.

The owner and crew were every bit the professionals advertised. Money well spent with a few unanticipated extras included.

I went to Angie's List on Monday, February 23rd to get some referrals and

Trees was one of the top ones. I called them the same day and they were to come by to give me an estimate on Tuesday, Feb 24th but instead someone fromt their team went by that same Monday, Feb 23rd and that evening I had an estimate provided to my email along with a text from

who is great at communications. On Tuesday, Feb 23rd we decided that they were just so expedient and could have the tree down by Weds Feb 24th starting at 9am.They showed up ready to work as promised and by 5pm Weds the tree was gone. We are just so happy with their service and how clean they left the area. Also, they would not take our money until they completed the job, which says a lot about a company and that they stand behind their service. I will use them for sure in all my future landscape jobs.

The work went well with the team working hard and fast. The yard was cleaned of debris quickly. The team was very courteous.

They did a great job, thorough, knowledgeable, professional, courteous and fast. An excellent company.

Great job. The entire job was done in one day while I was at work. Came home to a nice cleared out yard.

Man, these guys are good. I was looking to trim and shape a number of trees in my front, side and back yards to accomplich a number of goals. I did a complete walk-through with the salesperson who responded to my request. He took good notes and provided a quote that looked reasonable so I scheduled the work. The first appointment was rained out so we re-scheduled for the 26th of February. They did exactly what I was looking for and a bit more and did it in a very professional manner. None of the work was too challenging for them but it took the crew of 4 or 5 approximately 4 hours to complete the job. it included;
- trimming several trees in the front and side yards to allow more sun to reach the grass.
- completely re-shaping and pulling off a neighbor's house a tree on the side yard,
- trimming and cleaning up two

that had grown too large for me to maintain.
- thinning out a crepe

that was seriously crowding other plants and trees around the back of the pool
- some additional small tasks
All of these were done to perfection but what really impressed me was the care they took in protecting the other plants and the pool. They used a tarp to cover most of the pool and afterward made sure to scoop any remaining "stuff" out of the pool. They left our yard cleaner than when they arrived and everything looks great.
