"Even though I called late in the day, past normal working hours, he returned my call within the hour and scheduled the appointment for noon the following day. On the day of the appointment, he called and said he could arrive early and did so, about 2 ...more hours earlier than the appointment. After determining what was wrong, he gave me a quote but informed me that he did not have the part but would have it by noon on the following day. He arrived right on schedule with his assistant and they replaced the defective unit within a few minutes. While they were working on it I asked if they would clean out the AC pipe with their high pressures tool. They did and modified the connection between the AC handler and the pipe so it would be easy for me to regularly clean out the pipe by adding some bleach. All in all, they were here for less than a half hour, they charged me 2/3 of what they originally quoted and did not charge me at all for cleaning out the AC pipe. They were on time, within budget, professional and the unit functions well. What more could one ask for. I had him put a label on the AC unit so that I know just who to call for future service. "

technician was friendly and came out to my house pretty quickly. The technician told me that my compressor was going bad and that, based on the cost of a new compressor, I might want to consider just replacing the entire unit. ...more While he did show me the compressor, he didn't explain to me what about it specifically proved that it was "going bad." He left a quote for the new compressor and two different units and also charged me $65 to come out to inspect the unit. At the insistence of my neighbor, I decided to get some additional quotes on the unit, just so that I could get the best price. Naively, I simply accepted the technician's conclusion that I should, at a minimum, replace the compressor. I had a different a/c company come out to give me a quote. That company's technician asked me why I thought I needed a new unit and I told him what the
technician told me. This second company's technician did his own inspection of my unit and found that nothing was wrong with it! The noise was simply the result of some wiring. The second company's technician also pointed out to me that the quote from
was simply that, a quote. It did not provide any information about what, specifically, made the technician come to any conclusions about why I'd need a whole new a/c unit (or compressor). The second company charged me nothing for coming out and even suggested I get a third opinion, which I did. The third company came out and reached the same conclusions as the second - the noise was the result of a small piece in my unit that was connected to some wires. This third company replaced that small piece and my unit is running fine - no noise. I hate to give a bad review to any company, but the fact that I was almost put in a position to have to buy an entirely new a/c unit (or even just the compressor) is unforgiveable. That kind of expense is far too great to forgive a company's exaggeration of a "needed" repair. As a single female who clearly was uneducated about my a/c unit, I can't help but feel like the
technician tried to take advantage of me. I am so grateful that I have neighbors who insisted I get additional quotes and even more grateful to have found two different a/c technicians who were honest with me about my unit. "

repairman came out to my house. Instead of just taking my word for it that I needed another unit, the technician asked me why I thought I needed a new unit and I explained to him that the previous technician from the other company told me that I did. The

I called them to get a quote for an entirely new unit and they easily could've taken advantage of me (I am a single female and clearly uneducated about my a/c unit) but instead did an inspection of my unit first and were completely honest about the fact that nothing needed to be done (save for a quick fix of some wiring). They didn't even charge me for this visit (I gave a "B" for price simply because they still gave me a quote for a new unit since that's what they had come out to do and it was a bit more expensive than the first company, but not by much). "I called at 7:30 Friday night. Employee answered phone and said hold. Waited for 5 minutes and then a answering service came on. I told her I was waiting for the guy who answered the call and I was told their closed and asked for my info.
This was rude to push my call to the service. Won't call again.
