is incredible. I took my daughter to another child's psychiatrist and was extremely disappointed. She was the only one on insurance" in DFW. I felt like we were another number. I took my daughter to Dr.
, and she's not covered by insurance, but I wouldn't do anything differently. I felt that every bit of money spent with her was money well spent. She has helped my child immensely, and she is now a freshman in college.

" First Appointment - Scheduled at 5pm and I showed up at 5:05. I was late because I'd misjudged the time it would take me to get there from work. When I arrived," the doors were locked and everyone was gone. I was still charged for the appointment and Dr.
had zero empathy for my situation. On going - I met with Dr.
every six weeks while we gradually increased my ADD medicine dosage. Every time I saw her, she sent over a 30 day prescription despite us meeting every six weeks. This sometimes created gaps in my treatment since the pharmacy had to send over a refill request on a monthly basis. More recently - My insurance requires that I switch over to mail order after 3 consecutive months of taking a medication at the same dosage. I requested that Dr.
transition the prescription over to mail order a month ahead of time because I knew it if wasn't transferred that I would end up paying full price at the pharmacy. I requested this while I was sitting in her office and she supposedly made the request at the same time. I guess I should have checked behind her because when it came time for me to pick up my meds, the pharmacy charged me $300 for one month!! It turned out that Dr.
did not put in the request to switch over to mail order and since I could not go without and it takes some time for prescriptions to get mailed, I ended up paying for an entire month of the meds without insurance coverage. Ouch. Most recently - As I mentioned before, I've been increasing my dosage of ADD medicine over the last nine months and I regularly have to request for refills because Dr.
only writes prescriptions for 30 days at a time. the last time I requested a refill, she sent over the incorrect dosage. I had been on 80 mgs and she sent over 60mgs. I ended up combining the 60mgs with some of the smaller doses that I had leftover until I could reach out and have the correct dosage sent over. The second time the prescription was sent over, it was incorrect again. And again a third time. By the time it was corrected, I'd been taking all of the leftover ADD meds I could find so that I could avoid withdrawals and having to cope without it. As a result I'd ended up taking anywhere from 60mg to 120mg on alternating days. I did anything I could to balance things out without increasing or decreasing the meds too quickly. Being that I'm bipolar, this was a bad, bad, bad thing. I was thrown all out of
, began having emotional swings and having difficulty with focusing. It affected me at work and at home and six weeks after all this started, I'm paying the price. I'm typically a very patient and understanding person, but with all that has taken place over the course of the last year, I recently decided it's time to move on. I do not feel like Dr.
had my best interests in mind. I requested that I be transferred to a new doctor within the same practice, so we will see how that goes. I never had any problems with any of the other staff there, so I'm hoping my bad experience was limited to the doctor I was seeing.

Psychiatry reviews in Stuart

Need Help ? Get it ..but NOT HERE !! This place is a Money Machine and thats the bottom line. Listed as "Not for profit" with millions in assets & liquid dollars ... No MD, I was told AFTER the fact " we are not a hospital" . "Nurses "only . to many with such poor attitudes and no manners . I was given WRONG Medication that helped send me to ICU on life support 16 days ago ! Then told " they saved you " ..bull. I go back before knowing what really happened to me .. and I was refused my breathing med for night and given wrong one again by "nurses" choice. I had to leave , with heart palpitating a 2 min walk took 10 to get to the front office . I was refused use of phone to call my wife & family or a cab in all areas until I finally got up front and had to talk my way into using the phone to call a cab after being told " No, You can't use my phone".. More later , but
Stuart Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
is a disgrace as far as I am concerned , they do not call you back , look up other reviews online. I had to do some "research " to find a few phone numbers that finally after 4 days put me in touch with the CEO, COO, Shrink and ALL Refused to listen. They took over $1900 from my wifes Credit Card, ( We want a refund , they refuse as of now ) Refund for poor service , poor med staff & more . They are so bad I wouldnt leave an animal here and we have been in Rescue over 10 years . Post for more info. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE and avoid the " fundraisers " they don't need the money with over 12 million in cash , VERY well paid CEO, COO etc ( Underpaid staff except the Nursing staff deserves "0$ " . Check out the state of PA records of this facility , they failed aprox 13 out of 15x for one reason or another . THIS IS WELL DESERVED and as true as I can write it. There is more but I will leave it at this for now .

They told me they would call me to make an appointment. When I did not hear back from their new patient coordinator the next week as i was told I would be I called them. I spoke to her once and said I didn't even need an appointment til next month with him just wanted to get it set up. She said she would call me back. she never did. Over a week has gone by since I originally filled out that paperwork and when I called today a staff member at the desk told me that Dr.
Stuart Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
was not able or willing to see me due to the fact that I had been hospitalized. So with all of his years of experience and high ratings on this sight and others he is not capable of taking on a patient that might at some point be hospitalized or maybe I think that possibility is just too much trouble. So I guess if you are well enough he is a good doctor.
- Debora S.

I went to their office and filled out their paperwork and was told I would be called to set up an appointment. I said that I was stable on medication and only required medication management at this time but would also like to start therapy. I said I did not even need an appointment with the Dr. until next month as I have refills but did want to start therapy soon. After not hearing back from them and making several phone calls asking to speak to the new patient coordinator and being put off, today, over a week since I filled the paperwork out, I finally got an answer, not from the coordinator but from someone at the from desk that told me that due to the fact that I had had several hospitalizations they could not help me. So I guess I am left with the conclusion that even with Dr. Waldrops many years of experience and high ratings on the internet he is only willing to help those who will not be too much trouble. that if there is the possiblity that somewhere down the line you really need further help that might require hospitalization, well then he can't or will not help you. How can this place possibly have an "A" rating?
- Debora S.

I've seen this doctor for a year. When I had to see him urgently, they got me in right away and I didn't have more than a half-hour wait. Other than that time, I've had to wait between 1 and 2.5 hours (!) at every scheduled appointment - this for a 5 minute "you're ok? Here's your prescription" vist. They're friendly and warm, but very unprofessional and haphazard (it's a family-run business, and it shows). Yes, he can be delayed by hospital emergencies, but they've never bothered to modify their routine - I guess it works fine for them, but that leaves their patients to shoulder this

. don't say you weren't warned!!

I saw Dr.
Stuart Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
. It took almost 2 months to get the appointment just for medication management for depression and anxiety. Luckily I was in pretty good shape when I saw her because otherwise I would not have been able to understand or follow her much. Upon greeting me for the first time, she opened the door, called my name, starred at the floor, and never once made eye contact. In her office taking a history as fast as she possibly could, speaking very fast I got the feeling she was very much in a hurry to just get through her job, write me any scripts needed (which I did not at that time as I still had refills) and be done with me. There was no feeling of caring or compassion there or that she even liked her job. She threw so much information at me at the end so quickly that I left confused but with the name of a therapist,
Stuart Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
, to make an appointment, which I did. I saw her once and liked her but am now in receipt of a letter from Dominion that she is no longer with them with no explanation. Also, when I attempted to call and just leave Dr.

a voicemail messege the front desk said their providers did not have that and they did not take messeges as they where not secretaries. They said to make any contact I had to come in and pay another visit or go to the ER if it was an emergency. So If you want to pay good money to feel like you are at a free clinic where you might expect to be treated rudely and just like a number go here.

There was a wonderful social worker we saw twice, she then turned my son's case over to an MD. The Dr. started to give our son all kinds of prescription medications, Xanax and Klonopin when warned by us in family meetings he had stolen medication locked up within the home. We asked him NOT to medicate him with benzo's but he did anyway. He knew our son was experimenting with drugs and against our family meeting advice he kept giving our son higher and higher doses for "panic attacks" our son did NOT have. Family meeting after family meeting we told the Dr. that our son was attempting to abuse the prescribed medications, he only gave him more and more then added an ADD medication. Our son had been tested 4x for ADD and came up negative EVERY time. This MD (male) gave our son continued different ADD medications until he tried Statera and our son had a severe reaction he didn't warn us of. His blood pressure went to 190/122 when he normally had athletic blood pressure of 90/60.

After a few years of this we ended contact with the

Dr.'s and staff. We always had to wait a long time for appointments, the he shorted our 1/2 family 1/2 individual with our son who walked out with a grin on his face with prescriptions every time! The Dr. was a true pill pusher!

This Dr. at

contributed to the drug use of our son. I weaned him off the Klonopin slowly but our son went looking for it on the streets basically. He liked what the Dr. gave him in his mid to upper teens. Today our son is an addict, currently in his 12th rehab in California having seizures from detoxing from benzos and other drugs. I partially blame this Dr.'s insistence of prescribing narcotic benzo's to our son for what ultimately happened. I called him and told him we would NEVER return and thanked him for contributing to our son's now addictive personality. We brought him there to prevent this when he tried marijuana, we never expected our narcotics to be prescribed. For the prices they charged we could have taken our son to ANY private group. I did write a letter to the Board of Directors without a reply.
I recommend you go to a private psychiatrist rather than one at
Stuart Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
, there is NO difference in cost! They overbilled us, then we had to wait for refunds. We're covered for 80 percent until $1000 out of pocket then go to 100 percent for the year. They continued taking the full amount, collecting the 20 percent back from insurance and it took over a year to get what we were owed. Not the best place in our humble opinion for teenagers with or without family therapy.

The first time I went the epidural treatment helped alleviate some of the constant pain that I had. The next grouping I just received is seeming to make things a bit more comfortable considering that you use your back the most during the day. I have 1 more treatment to go and see what happens from there. Dr.
Stuart Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
will be taking care of me on a regular basis so I can keep my back in check.
- Mike S.

The meeting with her is sometimes very short. You won't be there very long. You sometimes have to wait a real long time to get into her office. If you're scheduled at 1:00, you might not be in there until 1:30, 1:45. I'll continue using her for now, but she could do better.
