Sarasota Movers Reviews

"Arrived on time, nice, moved quickly, they were organized, but when it was time to unload everything, they were in a hurry and just didn't care about doing the job well anymore (even though they had had a nice 20-30 minute break (we bought them pizza and drinks for lunch ).
I had to put the guest room's bed back together, they just unloaded everything, put it in a pile in the middle of the living room and left.
The only thing they actually put back together was the bed in the master which we had to redo as it wasn't stable and squeaking like no other.
We have (had) a white couch, and after the move, we could see traces of dirty hands on the cushions and stains. Also, for one of the garage shelving furniture, they lost/ threw out all the screws, and since they are specific screws, we had to throw away the furniture as we couldn't put it back together. (once again they just left the pieces of the furniture in a pile in the garage...
Over all give those guys a C. If you want a cheap service it's the way to go, it's average service for the money. If you have expensive furniture don't use this company.

arrived when expected for both moves, worked quickly and efficiently, which is highly unusual for a job billed by the hour! Pat was always available through every step of the move, offering assistance wherever he saw we were falling behind or thought we needed help.
Sarasota Movers Provider Name Locked
was very professional in every aspect of the move. The initial quote was very reasonable and the final cost of the move was less than the original quote, again highly unusual for for a job billed by the hour!
We would highly recommend

"I would NOT recommend this company for either moving or storage. I used them to move furniture from Atlanta, GA to Sarasota, FL and had a very bad experience. The furniture was not properly wrapped and/or packed, and therefore several pieces were damaged. I followed the instructions they provided to file an insurance Claim with them. Once the claim was completed and the supporting documentation provided, I could not get them to respond to inquiries as to the status of the claim either over the phone or via email. They took one piece to repair, and I could not get any information regarding status of that piece for months. When they FINALLY returned it, the piece was not usable because they did not return the file drawer that supports the desK, so it won't even stand up. They claim they've fulfilled their obligation and have never paid anything on the insurance claim. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THE FURNITURE TAXi!!

"Home Depot Delivery would not move out my old SubZero, despite my purchase of a new, expensive refrigerator. Said it was too heavy, too big and they didn't have liability insurance to cover it. I had to find a professional moving company and I chose
Sarasota Movers Provider Name Locked
because their website noted they were bonded, insured and had experience moving restaurant equipment. In less than 24 hours three polite, professional men appeared at my home, carefully blanketed the darn thing up and delivered it to a different location. They accomplished the job without complaints, sighs or hesitation. The rate was $270 for three men for three hours. Standard for this area.

"During our move into a multistory condo, the mover’s actions caused the elevator to become inoperable. Please know that the moving team did hustle to move the remainder of our furniture up two flights of stairs. This, however, resulted in actual charges well in excess of the estimated amount.

...more /> a few weeks after moving in, the condo association presented us with a $700 elevator service bill. We saw the stuck elevator similar to a piece of dropped furniture. Movers never intentionally damage furniture in a move, but clients are compensated for the cost of the damage. The moving team did not intentionally cause a malfunctioning elevator, but cause it they did.

We were more than fair and offered to split the cost of the service call with the mover -- even though the stuck elevator was entirely a result of the mover’s actions. The mover disputed the bill and we paid the entire balance. We are disappointed in the mover’s response and will take future business elsewhere.

"It went fine; better than expected, and much better than the day deserved. It took longer than expected because I had a lot of stuff - It did not look like a lot of stuff until it overfilled the truck. The crew came on a Friday to pack and returned on Saturday to do the move. They packed carefully and only one piece of pottery was damaged in the move. The crew was fast, and friendly, and careful with my things.
The move was complicated by a solid day of wind and rain. The driver was able to move the truck close to the overhang from the garage, and the crew staged the move in the garage to minimize the amount of running in and out of the home dripping wet. It was nevertheless a miserable day to move. Conditions were slippery, and soaking wet. They had to move very quickly to keep things from getting drenched and the strong wind made running up and down the ramp dangerous. The crew was careful to wrap everything to keep it as dry as possible. They loaded the truck carefully to prevent damage from the rain. The move was further complicated by some extremely heavy furniture - like moving a house full of pianos. The crew maintained their good dispositions, never complained, and worked diligently to get the job done.
I took a photo of the crew loading a refrigerator during a break in the rain at the end of the first load. Dripping wet and exhausted, they are still smiling and working hard.

weeks after the boxes were to be shipped. He said he was sick / injured doing another job. I do NOT understand how that kept him from answering my calls and text messages. He finally gave me two invalid tracking #'s. He said he had a UPS Store pack and ship the two boxes. I contacted every UPS Store in the St. Petersburg area and UPS Customer Service did a company wide

"Lousy job. The movers were nice enough people but totally lacked the knowledge to move basic items. Slower than slow too. I had a 55 year old woman helping me. She ran circles around the 2 workers. I was chraged a flat rate plus hourly after 3 hours. The guys could not figure out how to move my refrigerator and

from the kitchen. Finally I told them to just leave them! Very bad experience.

"Terrible. The truck was not large enough to accommodate all of our furnishings and they needed to use our friends trailer to move items which they wanted us and our friends to assist them with. Our Kitchen Table top was 60 inches round of 1/2" waterfall edged glass which they broke into a million pieces. Their Insurance Carrier just sent us a check for the top and a new one is being made. Our Master Bedroom Dresser had numerous scratches on it which have been repaired by their company. Had a bad experience with their Insurance Rep,

"From the first phone conversation to the end of the move I felt my belongings were in good hands, and they were. I called 2 weeks before my move and spoke with
Sarasota Movers Provider Name Locked
(the owner) and we made an appt to come see just how much needed to be moved and to go over the contract. In the days before my move, the office called me to verify the date and if the date was still good for me. Since work was still being done on my new place, it was a welcome call. I kept the original date, but still wasn't nearly packed yet. The men that showed up on the day of my move (on time) were a godsend. They took control of the chaos and got me moved in no time.
Sarasota Movers Provider Name Locked
also stopped by to make sure all was going well. Hey, moving isn't cheap, but if you need a quality mover that understands they are moving your LIFE, then I will recommend this company to anyone that needs a great mover.
