This item was heavy and bulky and required 4 men to move, it made it down a steep stairwell with tight turns and near 0" clearances and no damage to the woodwork, flooring or railings. Amazing work. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

This sounds like an easy job, but it wasn't. We knew it would be difficult before they came and told the person in the office what the problems were. Given the difficulty of the job, we thought the price was fair. The clearance up the stairway is about 2 inches greater than the smallest dimension of the piano. A grand piano is extremely heavy, but because of the small clearance, the movers could not use their dolly and had to carry the piano up the stairs by hand. The movers were clearly strong enough to do this without complaint. Then the piano had to be moved around several corners to get it in the correct position. Of course, the legs and cover had to be removed prior to moving the piano. These things had be put on after getting the piano to its new place. They did everything expertly.
The movers clearly had a lot of experience moving pianos. At no time were we concerned that the piano or anything else in the house would be damaged. In addition, the crew was extremely friendly. I recommend this company with no reservations.

Bil was very professional and very competent. He did what he said he would at the price he quoted and there were no unpleasant surprises. My piano which was moved from another city arrived in good shape and now sounds great too!

I try not to give all A+ reviews because I assume others won't believe me or think I am exaggerating, but this is my one exception.

Movers moved us from one home to another in-town in 5 hours! We're talking about a large 4 bedroom house with some heavy furniture and a few NOT ONE THING WAS BROKEN OR SCRATCHED! And that includes a PIANO!
I was totally impressed. I've moved several times and this is the first time I wasn't sitting at the new house waiting for the movers, and nothing was broken! The piano is still IN-TUNE! It was really amazing and I was very surprised.

Ruskin Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
arrived right on time with two very professional, very nice, and very careful men named
Ruskin Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
and
Ruskin Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
. They immediately got to work. They had to move some existing furniture out of the way to clear a path first. Then they moved a huge and very heavy green sectional sofa from our downstairs area up a curved staircase, out the door and to my garage. They also did the same with a heavy game table and four chairs, several occasional tables, an extremely heavy and awkward foosball table which was a nightmare to carry up and around the curved staircase. They also moved a very heavy old-style Sony TV upstairs even though this was not in the original bid. They then carried downstairs (still suffering with the awkward curved staircase) two very heavy leather club chairs, a heavy wooden coffee table and a drum table. They set these items up in a room downstairs. Then they put the legs on our new leather sofa and moved it into our library. All the while, they were extremely careful not to touch my hand painted walls (by hand painted I mean truly painstakingly painted by hand over a three-week time period), my oil paintings hanging in the stairwells or my curved cherry staircase railing. They also wiped their feet coming in each time since I have white carpeting down the stairs. They did all this cheerfully and professionally and would have done even more if I had asked them. They even managed to stack and store the items in our garage so that I could get my car back in the garage stall and I thought that would be impossible. I have never had a better moving experience, except possibly when
Ruskin Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
moved my 7 1/2' semi-concert grand piano from another house to this one. It was such a good experience that I did something I rarely do, I called

They were very prompt and did not damage anything during the move. I felt it was expensive for the 15 minutes it took to move it each time; however, it was competitive with other companies I called.

Absolutely tops! Communication with owner
Ruskin Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
and his crew was outstanding. They are very knowledgeable about moving pianos, and handled our cherished instrument safely and at a very reasonable cost. I could not have done this move for this price. By the time I rented the equipment and the labor, I'd have spent $200 more and a full day of my time and effort.
They know their stuff, delivered it without a scratch, and made sure everything went well. The total round trip for them was about 350 miles. I'll use them again, and recommend them to you.

My 6-foot grand piano needed to be moved from our old house to our new house. We wanted the piano to be moved upstairs. However, I was concerned that moving a large grand up our L-shaped stairway might not be feasible, so had an alternative, downstairs location picked out in advance (though I had not told them I had an alternative location).
When the move was scheduled, the office told me the movers would arrive sometime between 10:00 and noon and that they would call about 30 min. prior to their arrival. On the day of the move, instead of waiting for them to call, I called
Ruskin Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
to get a better idea of when they would be arriving, as I was working that day and had other tasks on my agenda. They estimated about 1 hour. That was a very good estimate, as they actually arrived exactly 1 hour after my call.
I could tell that they had a lot of experience moving grand pianos, because hardly a word was spoken among them as they prepared my piano for moving. They had special gear and padding for a grand piano. They handled it with great care!
When we arrived at the new house,
Ruskin Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
evaluated the stairway and said that he was afraid they might break one of the stair steps because each step had a wide overhang. He was also very concerned about the 90-degree turn and narrow stairway, and wasn't certain whether they could get the piano around that turn. I told him I didn't mind it if one of the stair steps broke, but was more concerned about the piano -- and the men moving it. We discussed the pros and cons of moving the piano up the stairs. I really appreciated his straightforwardness. He told me that one way to get the piano upstairs was to take it apart and then put it back together, but that would cost more and he couldn't guarantee that the piano would be put back together properly. I asked him for his confidence level in regard to moving the piano upstairs (without taking it apart), and he was pretty straight with me when he said, "Do you mean -- Am I feeling lucky today?"
I decided that moving the piano upstairs was not a risk I wanted to take, and showed them the alternative location for the piano downstairs. Our new house is on acreage, with wooden porches (not as sturdy as cement). They drove the truck up to the back porch and made sure they had a sturdy platform for transferring the piano from the truck, over the porch, and into the house. They were also super careful to avoid damaging our new bamboo flooring.
They reduced the cost of the move since they did not move the piano upstairs.
I am glad I had
Ruskin Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
move the piano. I could tell they had the necessary experience to tell whether something was too risky and were up front with me about it. They treated my piano and my house with utmost care. I will definitely call them again!

We received a call the day before to confirm the booking and one that morning from the driver to say they were on their way. After a quick look to see what we had to move and the best way to start,
Ruskin Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
and
Ruskin Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
got to work and were fast and efficient, taking care of not only our belongings but also the town house that we were leaving. Everything was packed carefully and securely in their trailer and transported to our new house in one piece. Where again they worked fast and efficiently (even in the
Ruskin Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
heat), unpacking and placing our belongings where we wanted. Even taking time to rebuild some of the furniture that we had taken apart before they arrived.
Highly efficient, polite and courteous throughout, taking care with our belonging the whole time. We would like to thank then for their hard work and would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking to move and we would definitely use them again.
