Roofing Reviews in Punta Gorda

He came out on a Friday to see the damage and prepare an estimate. We accepted the estimate that afternoon, and he was back early Monday morning to perform the work

Despite sometimes heavy rain, the installation went very well. The installation crews were excellent and
, one of the
owners, was readily available to answer any and all questions we had regarding the installation. In addition he made daily visits and made sure we were happy with the job. After 3 months we are very happy with our new roof and glad we chose
as our installer. They have our highest recommendation.

is the man! Completely involved and is no fuss. Very reasonable pricing.
He had a crew of 6 - 8 that were on my roof at 7:00 am Saturday morning! They worked all day and then were back on my roof 7:00 am Sunday morning! Where are you going to find that?? HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

l called on Friday, May 16th and told
Punta Gorda Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
that I had a couple of lamps that needed repair. I told him it was a small job and I would be happy to deliver them instead of him coming out for a small job. He said absolutely no problem, he would stop by on the 19th, Monday, and see if he could fix them right there or would need to take them with him. He called later in the day on the 19th to tell me he wouldn't be there because he was with a client that had a small baby and they had no electricity and he didn't want to leave them until the job was done. He said he would call the next day, Tuesday, the 20th to set up a time to come out. He never called. I called back that Thursday, the 22nd and reiterated the fact that it was a small job and again, he said no problem. He had been sick with a bad flu but he would definitely call me after the holiday on the 26th of May. Well, today is the 29th and I still haven't heard a word from him. I really hate to write this kind of review because all the others were very good; however, I feel I went out of my way to be understanding that it was not a big job and might not be worth his time. He was the one that kept telling me it was not a problem and that he would do the job. It would have been much better if he had said no right up front. Now I've wasted a couple of weeks and have to start looking all over again. I'd feel very foolish to even consider calling again.

did this job on time and on budget. No extras. They were neat, clean, courteous and professional. Clean up was great and I have no complaints.

The replacement measured 10x30 feet and required the old roofing material removed and a new replacement. After considering several other "roofers" we settled on
Punta Gorda Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
. Reasons: --professionalism for the "get-go." --responsiveness to all questions with details clearly explained. --kept us informed as to scheduling date etc. --arrived when they said they would, with plenty of help. --no wasted time by their employees--went to work and everyone seemed to know their jobs without having to be told --clean-up was exemplary -- better than when they started.

From the start the estimated from
Punta Gorda Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
was punctual, thorough in inspecting the work to be done, and gave a full written estimate of work to be done with price (and no money up front). The scheduler for
Punta Gorda Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
worked with us on the best date and kept us informed. The installers arrived on the specified date and time, with plenty of workers, and were very proficient in their work. There was no

around on the job.
They removed the old roofing material and installed the new one within the day. They cleaned up the debris and left the yard in better shape than they found it.
I highly recommend this company and will use them in the future.

The work consisted of replacing about 1200 square feet of flat roofing on an addition to my home. * The old roofing and flashings were removed. * Rotted plywood was replaced. * All of the plywood was screwed down at 6 inch intervals. * underlayment was nailed to the plywood. * The top coating was adhered to the underlayment. * New flashings were attached. All of this work was accomplished under very strict code requirements established after hurricane

.Contract price for the roof and gable end siding was $13,000 and for which I paid $1200 down. Was not allowed to select a shingle prior to signing the contract. Gable ends were to be replaced with concrete

board according to contract. Work began on 5/3/11. Four to five men worked approximately 5 days on removing the old shingles and replacing some decking (was never advised as to how many sheets of decking were replaced) on a 1700 sq. ft. house. They also removed the wood from the gable ends during this time. Then I was finally shown a picture of a shingle from the internet web site of

which was a

green (previous roof was gray). It was very pretty but I commented to the contractor that this shingle would no go with my current gray soffit and fascia. He said it couldn't be painted but that he could replace it with white soffit and fascia for a price of around $1500 - $2000. That seemed reasonable as I had just had it replaced after Hurricane

for $1700 (one man did it in one day). A couple days later I was advised by the contractor that the shingles had to be ordered from California and they were going to cost me another $2500 as they were an upgrade but he didn't know why they were so much more expensive. He had already ordered said shingles so I went along with it. The next day the contractor called me and said he was going to need half the money since he was getting the shingles from a new supplier and had to pay for them up front.

then brought over an invoice for a total of $29,450!!!! He now wanted half. Rather than a fixed price the contract had now become a time and material cost basis though it was calculated at the middle of the project rather than after completion at an actual cost. At this point the shingles were off, fascia & soffit torn off, and gable ends torn off. I paid him another $14,000 and the next day began investigating his pricing and hired an attorney.
It took a rediculous 3 weeks for the job to be completed. Right away
Punta Gorda Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
wanted to settle up for the balance or he was threatening to put liens on my house. The shingle color looked nothing like the photo I was shown. It looked gray and would have been fine with my existing soffit and fascia. It also included a very unique and expensive ridge cap which I had not requested. Instead of concrete

board, they had installed wood on my gable ends. Two inspections by the City of P**** Gorda had not yet been completed, the dry in and final.

declined when I asked for a contractor's affidavit to show that all subcontractors and suppliers had been paid. He stated that I would need to pay the balance with a cashier's check first. He and the suppliers proceeded to place liens on my house.

finally provided the contractor's affidavit which indicated that all major suppliers had NOT been paid, including the shingle supplier.

I thought they did a very good job. I had no problems with them. When they were able to come, they did a fine job. They had a great product. They offered something better than other companies at the time. They even worked later on in the night to get things done.
