"During the whole pre-surgical process,
provided outstanding communication about expectations and post-surgical care. I was assigned a nurse" who was my liaison for questions and concerns. All paperwork regarding short term disability with my employer was handed quickly and efficiently. I was just super impressed with both Dr.
and the entire
practice. A++.

-Larry S.

"I had to wait 4 months to get in to see Dr
. On the day of my appointment I was asked to arrive 30 minutes early even though the paperwork" was mailed to me prior and I had it completed before I arrived, but I did as asked. I then continued to wait almost 2 hours in the waiting room until I was taken back to a small room that appeared to be some type of disorganized, overstuffed library. The staff person then told me that the doctor was running late and would be with me shortly, but I was free to go to lunch instead of waiting there if I wanted. What I really wanted was to be seen and be able to leave altogether since I had already waited so long and lived an hour away. About 30 minutes later I was taken to an exam room (after questioning how much longer I would have to wait) where the staff person took my vitals and then I waited some more for the doctor. In total, I waited about 3 hours, and this was after waiting 4 months for the appointment. I was actually referred to Dr
by my normal neurologist as she is the only neuro doctor in the area that gives botox injections for headaches. However, I left there with two injections of some type of anti-inflammatory (not botox), 4 new prescriptions, an increase for another medication I was already taking, and instructions to talk to my family doctor about increasing yet another med and switching a med. In total, that is 2 injections, 4 new prescriptions, increases in 2 existing prescriptions, and changing 1 existing prescription. Although I did initially follow her orders, after about 3 weeks I felt absolutely horrible (pain became consistently a 9-10). I also determined that if I increased the one medication as directed, I would be taking 16 pills of just that one med every day. Add that to the others she prescribed and the medications I take for other conditions and I would be taking a total of 34 pills/day. All this and she did not even discuss the botox injections with me. I was kind of left in
in that I guess I was just supposed to keep taking these meds until I came back to see the nurse practitioner, since I was given a form explaining that they would not call in new scripts, refills, change meds, etc without coming in to see the doctor. I have never heard of any doctor being like that, especially when prescribed so many new medications at one time. Then my follow-up appointment with the doctor was not for 4 months, yet I had no choice on day or time so it was scheduled for so late that I would not be getting home until after 7:30 at night, and that is making the wild presumption that she would somehow be on time that day. I could never recommend any doctor that is this pill happy, especially on the first visit. I would rather live with the headache than return to see Dr

The benefit is not in "choosing" a provider that is listed on AL - it is in using AL to screen potential providers before choosing one by looking at their ratings and reading the reviews prior customers havae posted, so you get a preview up-front of what people like or dislike about them. You can also google the doctors names combined with the word - complaints - to see other blogs and comments about specific doctors - there are also a few medical-specific review sites out there. In dealing with a specialist like a neurologist, your regular general medical provider can also provide recommendations. And be sure if your insurance company requires it (almost a certainty) that you have a referral from your general doctor AND insurance company pre-approval IN ADVANCE of the first visit if you want his/her services to be covered by your insurance.

Neurology reviews in Port Orange

I’ve been seeing him since September of 2014. He’s always abreast to my current health, provided an explanation of symptoms and care that was being delivered, and he’s extremely easy to talk to. The office staff was very kind and professional.

Dr. Czander methodically worked with me, running his own tests and then sending me out to various specialists to trying and sort out the problem. Turns out I had a rare condition that could happily be fixed. Without Dr. Czander's patience and tenacity I'm not sure I would ever have been diagnosed.

Dr. Traynelis makes sure that the patient is within the conservative range of who he will treat. He does not look for solutions outside his range of practice. However, he does refer with genuine compassion.

is an excellent physician. He has superb knowledge of the scientific literature in several specialties and a global view of health that is tailored to the patient's history and needs. He has a professional and friendly manner and is an excellent listener. I've been amazed at how accurate his diagnoses are and how helpful his methods for healing; I've improved so much. I find it easy to trust him 100% and feel I'm in very good hands. His office staff is also friendly, highly skilled, and helpful. I'm grateful to be Dr.

Details are personal but Dr. Tikku was very gentle and kind. He listened to both of us with patience and understanding and he is the first neurologist to prescribe a medication to help. There aren't many neurologists in our area and we have now seen three. The first seem to think we should bring all information to him from other physicians. The second verbally abused and battered my husband and wondered why we were angry with him. Dr. Tikku was so different from the others. He asked questions without raising his voice and understood everything we said. He knew that a couple married almost 53 years were inseparable and would be protective of each other. We are anxious to see him again and to see how the medication is working.

I have been seeing her for about a year now. Her staff is very efficient. Once you are a patient with theirs, they are great with scheduling. I have MS and she had caught some things that my other neurologist had missed. She also located two brain aneurysm and we were able to get them fixed. She takes her time explaining things to you. I would recommend her to others.
