We could not be happier. After being in our home for 26 years, it was time to modernize the kitchen.
price was reasonable compared to other estimates I received.
and his crew were on time each day, cleaned up after each day and completed the job on time.
made many good suggestions in the design process. The result was a modern kitchen that is laid out very well. We have plenty of cabinet space and counter tops space for food preparation.

and his crew were great. They were responsive and handled any issues we had with a problem solving attitude. We were most impressed about how he worked with the building maintenance people. That can be a nightmare because of all the rules, but
had a wonderful relationship with the building people which made the experience uneventful and helped us stay within our time frame. Thank you
for being easy to work with and your men for treating our home like you would yours.

We read one of the reviews of Cascade here and felt like her experience was completely like ours. We have dealt with more than 10 contractors over a 15-year period when doing our small and large house renovation projects. Our garage conversion project using Cascade was by far the worst; in fact, the project was a complete disaster, and we would not ever hire them again, or recommend anyone else to do so. In short we feel we paid way too much for this project. After 7 months, it’s not finished, and the journey has been super-rocky and stressful, with long arguments over money, poor workmanship, and poor communication and just plain disgusting behavior (like throwing half-eaten food in our yard to rot). In the end, we had complete distrust of their work; for example we felt they on purpose opted for cheaper solutions than outlined in the contract, and hoped we would not notice. Here’s what happened: It started out well enough. The owners both spent significant time with us to understand what we wanted done and to iron out the details. We did change our scope several times initially, but they worked through that very patiently. They answered promptly and sounded very professional and knowledgeable. We should have walked away when they wanted $1,500 to do a more formal proposal, but we saw that as effectively a down payment of the project cost, given that things had been going pretty well so far. They also mentioned this was a $1,000 dollar “rebate” over their standard asking price for a proposal. At this time they brought an “architect” with them to our house. We expected her to live up to the title, but she was more of a “line drawer”, not so much about making sure we got an elegant, stylish room. Our expectation was that she would come up with professional help and suggestions and solutions but all they did was to take measurements and make sure the work would be approved by an inspector, not by us. After the $1,500 deposit, the project progress became so slow that we started to wonder whether they were frauds. We wanted to back off but felt trapped by the already paid deposit

It is clear that money is the thing they care about, nothing else. Once the contract was signed, the owners stopped showing up at our house, except for picking up checks, even though “project management” was promised in the contract. Since they hired a bunch of different subcontractors, nobody oversaw that the work actually followed what was outlined the contract. Instead, we had to take on much of that role

In 2 instances they did not complete the work as specified in the contract. When we insisted to hold off on the final payment until these things were fixed (as stated in the contract), they almost blew a gasket and tried to bully us into paying earlier by threatening to put a
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
on our house. They also said that then they would not collect their garbage pile outside of our house until the payment was received.

They bullied us into paying a $2,500 check for a canceled change order (this counted against the final project amount), due to “bank trouble”

We very seldom got any updates from them when things changed, so we had to ask many many times. Contractors showed up randomly at our house. Many times a week or more would go by with no activity, and we’d have no idea of why

Several of the subcontractors threw garbage and half-eaten food in our yard, even after several reminders. One of them trashed his cigarette butt in our yard. (We have a dog!) We never received even a “sorry” for this behavior.

During the renovation, all our things in our garage became coated with a fine white powder, even though they promised to cover up our things. So we cleaned it up ourselves and after that they said they did not see any dust.

In one instance, they did some plumbing work that we did not know about. This left us with no running water on the top floor and an unknown cost for “finishing” the plumbing work. We refused to pay, since we had not authorized this work. After long arguments, they finally agreed to cover the costs.

Once the contract is signed, they do not listen or even try to understand the customer experience, they just focus on collecting checks.

2 weeks after the work was finished, we started seeing issues with the floor they installed. It’s bulging in several places and you can hear it “settle” as we walk on it.

They wanted to save so much for floor materials that there is no extra flooring left for future need.(experts know that you should have some extra material)

We emphasized several times that we wanted an energy efficient window. Instead they installed a non-energy efficient cheaper window and tried to convince that it was a right one. Finally we showed the contract and they replaced it with what we originally decided on the contract. This added another 3 weeks to the project time, and no apology was offered.

They (even though they were supposed to be project managers) did not show up for the “Final walk through” as stated in the contract, they sent a contractor instead of them showing up.
These are just a few examples of our horrible and very stressful experience. In short, they were very expensive, rude, exhibiting poor workmanship and extremely poor project leadership. In the end, we just felt they tried to cheat us and take our money. Where are we now? It’s been 3 months since they said the work was completed. However, we still have a problem with the bulging floor, and now their floor subcontractor says he could not fix the problem because it’s a moisture problem that comes from the front exterior wall or the ground (the other wall is fine). He recommended us to tear up the floor to see what’s going on. We’ve been asking them for assistance but it’s like pulling teeth, they are clearly not interested in providing any kind of help or take responsibility. So 8 months after the project started, we are still unable to finish the room and finish moving in.

Before they arrived, they were very professional via phone when setting up appointments. I actually had to change the appointment twice because of last minute changes to my schedule, and they were happy to work with me to find another time that worked out for them and I.
The day of the quote
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
arrived promptly at the scheduled 9am appointment time. He introduced himself and exchanged pleasantries with me, and we got down to business. We went to my main bathroom, which is what I was looking to remodel. It is a very small full bath, with one exterior window (6ft x 10ft or maybe 8ft x14ft

). The house was built in 1920, and the bathroom was last updated in the late 60's or early 70's. We discussed options and were both honest early on. I talked about the price range I was hoping to stay in, which was 5-6k
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
, and I thought that was safe because of the size. He explained that they would more likely be in the 10k range, and could possibly get down to 8 or so depending on the selections I picked. We continued working through everything because while I understood I was most likely priced out of the remodel, I wanted an accurate portrayal of the work so that I could begin saving for the work.
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
worked with me and did not rush at all even though he knew I was most likely not going to be requesting them to do work in the near future. He gave me advice about the choices I was selecting, for the long term ideas I had for my home, and even gave me the information for the venting specialist the company uses in case I wanted to look into fixing certain aspects of the bathroom before I could pay for an entire remodel.
I was thankful for the help and advice
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
gave, and hope I can use RBR in the future. It is worth stating that I understood they would not be a cheap quote because I read plenty of the reviews on Angie's List before calling them... I didn't have "sticker shock," they were just a little higher than I wanted to finance currently, so I will be waiting a little to do the work.

We have used
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
improvements for many of our "Planned" projects. But it is the most recent "Unplanned" event that I need to review. A garden hose burst filling my window well and then my basement. The water ran for about 8 hours before I woke and went downstairs to find my finished basement submerged by about 4" of water. My insurance agent recommended a restoration company that came in and removed my carpets and Sheetrock up to about 18". (This company did a great job and will be reviewed separately. After 5 days of drying, I called
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
Improvements to get my basement back together. Ed's crew arrived the next day. This was my first time working with Ed's son (Ed Jr.) I explained that they would need to work around the surround sofa, washer, dryer, treadmill and freezer. Ed said not to worry that they would move whatever was in the way and cover whatever couldn't be moved. Ed's two man crew arrived every day by 7:30, they laid down drop cloths from my front door, through my living room and down the basement stairs. In a little under a week, they replaced the Sheetrock taped and spackled replaced damaged corner bead and installed new moldings. Then they primed and painted the entire basement. They worked in horrible conditions with furniture everywhere. When they were finished the basement looked better then ever. The only downside is now my Wife thinks the living room is looking kinda dingy.

I worked with
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
directly throughout the project. She came out for the initial estimate, and was able to give me a quote on the spot. The price was competitive enough for us to use them instead of a competitor. We already had an idea of what type of granite we wanted, so that process didn't take long. Backsplash took a bit longer than expected, but that was because the materials we wanted to use had to be shipped in from another location. Not a major problem though, as the overall project was completed before we needed it to be. Overall quality seems very good, we had a few things that we wanted to get touched up and
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was very quick to get some one out to make the minor adjustments. We even had spilled something on our grout after the project was done, and they came out to fix it up for us.
Taking into account all factors (price, length of project, communication, etc) I would definitely consider using them again if I have any projects down the road. Plus they are local to where I live, and I like to support local vendors as much as possible. Most importantly,
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was willing to answer my plethora of questions, as this was my first house renovation project. For me, good communication is paramount.

is fantastic. He was prompt with his quote and went overboard to accommodate our schedule. He fit us in on weekends because we needed the work done fast. He is friendly and very easty to work with. The quality of work is first class and his team is neat and efficient. The price was faiir and he made sure we had no complants with his workmanship before he finished. I'm pleased we were able to find this quality of work on Angies list.

Being the "weekend handyman" I replaced some parts on my first floor shower and tested by applying back pressure. I was dismayed to note that my work had apparently

A Sunday call to RT Construction was returned within 30 minutes and

I would never recommend
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
to anyone. Our experience was incredibly frustrating from the time they installed a new dishwasher (March 2014) and then tried to trouble shoot a problem which surfaced 2 months later (May 2014). It took 2 months to get the problem resolved which ended up being completed by GE Customer Service, not

&

, last week (

25, 2014). All of the problems were the result of poor customer service, incompetent techs and long delays in scheduling service calls to finally have a new replacement dishwasher installed this past week by GE Customer Service.
I knew we were in trouble when the first tech came out to install the new dishwasher and said it would not fit in the space. When we originally ordered the new unit we were told there would be no need to come out and inspect before the installation to make sure it fit. So then we had to wait for the next service call and the second tech advised there are adjustable legs and it fit fine after he made a
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
adjustment. The unit worked fine until late May when it would not complete a cycle and just stop. We contacted
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
&
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and it took several weeks to get a service call to investigate. The tech advised there was a door hinge problem where the door became unsecured causing the unit to stop. GE told the tech this model was having this issue and suggested new hinges and front panel assembly which took 4 weeks to receive. When I called GE Customer Service to inquire about this issue GE was not aware of this model having this problem. I contacted
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
& Scarf to find out more but no one made an effort to call me back after I made multiple calls and inquiries. I did get one call back from Holly who left a message for me but never returned my calls thereafter. Once the parts arrived it again took several weeks to get a service call to install the new parts (
Pineland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
cancelled the first service call). When the tech arrived he discovered the real issue was a damaged leg to the unit. GE advised this was not repairable and ordered a new replacement dishwasher. According to GE the leg could only have been damaged by dropping the unit i.e. by
