"They arrived on time, accessed the problem and determined that a new section would have to be made. The took the measurements , called them so the new section could be made while they were on their way back to the shop. They picked up the new section and returned to my house thus making for a minimum amount of down time. They installed the new section and showed me the new duct section and reported that the rest of the ductwork was in good condition. I told them that I was having the house re-wired in two weeks. They advised me that damage to duct work was quite common after re-wiring work. They offered to send me a letter stating that all duct work was in good working order and no ducts were in anyway compromised. They also advised that pictures should be taken to verify this fact. I contacted the company that will be re-wiring the house and gave him the information about the ducts. I asked that he add a statement to our contract stating that any damage to the ducts would be paid for by them. They agreed to this. If the duct workers had not said any thing about possible damage during re-wiring I would have none nothing about this and would not have taken steps to cover myself for any possible damages.

"After checking Angie's List for a highly rated HVAC company I settled on

&

.
An appointment was made promptly which was great because I had limited time in town to accomplish this and several other services. The tech arrived on time and began the process of reviewing the system. I as by his side most of the time asking questions and he always answered and answered honestly. Turns out this is an older system and no longer being produced. If there were to be any major issues I was advised to consider replacing it rather than investing any significant dollars in repairs.
I had also recently purchased a new WiFi Thermostat but needed a common wire available to make it work. The tech checked the diagram on the inside panel of the furnace and promptly connected an unused wire and viola, I had the needed wire to make my new thermostat work.
The tech removed the blower and took it outside to hose it off. He checked both the inside furnace and the exterior AC unit and clean both. Both were in working order but both were past their prime. The tech took ample time, actually spent more time then I had guessed. This to me indicated that he was being very thorough and took pride in his work.
I now have a clean system, a working system and know that I've done all I can to get the maximum use out of an old HVAC system.

"The evaluation was fine. He did a air intrusion evaluation and heat leak assessment. I requested the results so I could find out why my energy bill is so high.
Mr. Santeler

, "He would send the results of his evaluation at the end of the week via email. I provided my email address and waited for the email. To date no email and no report on his findings.
All I wanted was to find out if there is anything I could do to reduce our energy bill. I called twice and sent four emails to his office. Apparently the email address he provided is not functional since no response has been received.

returned my call promptly on Saturday morning. He came to the house to evaluate the problem that morning.
Called me early Monday to give me the options. Repair was done that day with fair price.
Then called back 5 hours later to make sure the system was working.
Definitely would use this company again.

"took about 2 weeks altogether because parts had to be ordered. Blower repaired first then it needed a new condenser unit outside. Corroded and leaking. Took a little long but they were very responsive and and price was fair.

"They were very prompt and need for the most part, except after they left we smelled gas. I called them back and was told the gas line was cracked in my slab and they would have to run a new gas line through my attic. they did this but sent me a $1200 bill. No gas leak before but leak after and I had to pay. I argued to no avail and eventually paid them.
Now I have water bleeding out of my stucco into my house. Pulled the wall inside to find a

coming down. got plumbers in the attic who temporarily patched the leak and told me that the new overflow pipe was connected to the old plumbing with an ill-fitting connection.
We have to have new plumbing put in and a whole bedroom wall replaced due to the half measures that

people used and homeowners would not know about until after they were long gone.

"I have used Andersons on three occasions. Each time their
technicians arrived promptly, diagnosed the problem quickly, and worked
efficiently to repair the unit in a timely fashion. They are reasonably priced
and I would most definitely recommend them and use them again!

"This is the second time that my home warranty company sent these guys to my house - this is the second house. The first time they came out in 2010 was to change out an A/C system. Here they didn't pull permits, use the right equipment, or do the job correctly. They put my house at great risk of catching fire according to the county inspector that came out prior to the second company that came to fix their mess up. They reversed wires and cut holes in the duct without patching them and then threw all the trash on the floor of the attic.
The home warranty company ended up paying us to go buy window units and fans for several rooms in our house due to the horrible work that was done until the second company came out to replace the replacement.
This time they came out again because they were the only one's that were able to make it out on the date called. They came out and the guy was somewhat knowledgeable and had me thinking that maybe they have improved a bit. As he continued to work, I was quickly coming to the realization that nothing has changed.
He finally figured out how to use his tools and then figured out a bit later that the compressor was bad. Another one was ordered and took four days to get here. If I wouldn't have called today, they would have had me wait until Monday (a second blistering weekend) to have it replaced.
The guy that came out also didn't give me much hope, but I'm desperate to get the A/C working for my one and two and a half year old as they are miserable. So after telling me that they would be there by 1:30 and not showing up until 3:30 after making several calls and getting reassurance that he would be there by 2/2:30 at the latest. He spent the next hour and a half changing the compressor in the unit. When he was done, he spent a few minutes checking things out and then asked if he could hose off outside. The A/C was blowing ok and it was cooler air, so it was fine.
Three hours later, the air flow was EXTREMELY weak and warm. I checked the air handler and the copper pipes were snow cone frozen. The coils were frozen and the outside units copper pipes were frozen! Everything points to there not being enough Puron in the unit. Checking the thermostat, the temperature has gone up from 81 to 87 degrees when it was on. He simply didn't do his job and forgot the key component to an A/C system!
They don't have an after hours number and they don't post anywhere their hours of operation. The home warranty company and I hoped that they were open on Saturday so that someone can come out and fix their mess up.
At 11:30 PM, I got a phone call from the person on call. I was told that he just got off a call and wouldn't be able to get out to me tonight as he was going home. His solution to me was to defrost the coils by running the fan only mode on the AC for about 40 minutes and then to turn the AC back on until it froze the coils again and to repeat the process. He said I would have to do this every two to three hours - thus not allowing any real sleep to be had in order to not start blowing hot air in the house. He then proceeded to say that he has another appointment in the morning, but would get to me by 12:00 PM to take a look at what's wrong.
The next morning a gentleman showed up around 10:15/30. He said he was here to add more Puron to the system and to make sure that there were no leaks. After a little while, he knocked on the door and said that he filled the compressor to the proper specks and that the guy before him is younger and doesn't really fill them up the way he likes to. He then stated that he was the OWNER of the company and that he thinks this should work this time. The air that was blowing was cool and we figured it was ok. We then proceeded to tell him about the history between his company and us being that in 2009 his company was pulled off the contract for my house's A/C replacement and another company sent in to fix their failed county inspection installation.
After telling him this, he said that "Maybe we do suck. Maybe you should have someone else come out and fix this if that happened." Not something that a professional should say as he didn't seem to be joking. This left a bitter taste in our mouths and made my wife very uncomfortable with their work yet again.
That Monday, the house was again at 80+ degrees. The AC was blowing hot air yet AGAIN. I called the AC company directly and told them that it was hot again and not working. I was first told that no one would be able to be there today because they were busy. I explained to them that they have been out here three times for the same thing already and still having the same problem. It was a repair issue and someone needed to be out here today. Again I was told that that wasn't likely. I then told them that the owner said to contact him if there was another problem. They said they would contact him and call me back shortly. After waiting two hours, I called the home warranty company and informed them of the ongoing issue and what I was told. They called Economy while I was on the phone and was told that they would be calling me shortly. After a few minutes they called me and said a tech was on the way out.The tech showed up and said he was going to check everything out again. After a while he came back and said that he needed a part that was on the condenser unit that isn't there now - the hard start that the tech who replaced the unit took off and said it wasn't needed. He then said that the guy who installed it messed up because he put a second filter on the line but that the filter that he put on was for the wrong type of A/C system; he put a filter on for a straight cool unit not a heat pump unit like we have installed on the house. So he said he took the filter off totally and just made it a straight piece of pipe now without a filter. He said that everything that should have needed to be filtered out should have been caught already and nothing should be left so it's ok. After this it started blowing cold air again. However I'm pretty
Pensacola HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
of the work at this point.
The home warranty company is also going to have a second company come out to do a second opinion on their repairs to make sure that nothing else is wrong.
This is the second time that this company has come to one of my residences for and A/C repair and completely mess things up. It was 9 days that I hadn't A/C and and an additional day and a half without it and in 90+ degree weather. These guys are a joke and I've heard similar stories from people that my wife works with.
BEWARE!!!
It has been an extremely frustrating experience with this company. Not to mention that because of them and their inability to make it on time, I missed an appointment. I did say that I would be available anytime, but once they set an appointment with me I made an appointment with plenty of time in-between and they couldn't show up when stated. It wasn't a pressing appointment, but the fact of the matter is that they didn't arrive at the time that THEY set.
