"
gives my children some really great suggestions on how to take care of their acne issues. My daughter is especially happy with them because they have prescribed" some facial & oral medicine that have been extremely helpful.

"My son has a disability and
& Clinics is a fabulous place to take him because its not just the doctors but the support staff. They are able to draw blood" from him and they know how to deal with somebody who can't communicate. They just do a fabulous job with special needs kids. It's the major
hospital in town. I'll take him there as long as he can go. They're really good.

"He is really good. He was very thorough. My son is very young so he was very patient in explaining a 12 year old about diagnosis. He has a very good bedside manner and his staff is" pretty thorough too. The office environment is very pleasant just that the office is very busy.

I did have to cancel at the last minute with my daughter and I had no problems with that. I saw the doctor (
Pembroke Pines Pediatric Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
), and she encouraged me to try a different product. I was skeptical because I have really sensitive skin and she encouraged me to try it and I have been really happy with it. I was surprised. I thought she spent a lot of time hearing what I had to say.

In 2010, my son was diagnosed with alopecia areata, just before his 5th birthday. His pediatrician recommended that we see a dermatologist and we went to two who had been recommended by others. Both of the general dermatologists recommended that we see Dr.
Pembroke Pines Pediatric Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
, who specializes in pediatric skin care. At first, it was hard to get an appointment. We were told the first availability was several months away. Then, one of the other dermatologists called Dr.
Pembroke Pines Pediatric Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
himself and explained that my son's alopecia was spreading and that he needed an appointment as soon as possible. Dr.
Pembroke Pines Pediatric Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
's office called my husband back and agreed to see us within a month--still a long time to wait, but worth it.
Once we started seeing Dr.
Pembroke Pines Pediatric Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
, it was easy to get follow up appointments. His staff is efficient and understanding. Dr.
Pembroke Pines Pediatric Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
talked us through a number of different courses of action. I felt very comforted that he was so knowledgeable and experienced with alopecia. He was
Pembroke Pines Pediatric Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
and matter of fact, but compassionate and good humoured. I also liked that he outlined a course of action that included more aggressive options if the first choice--topical solutions--wasn't effective. Fortunately, the solutions worked--but alopecia responds slowly and at each visit, we continued to discuss what we might try next. I never felt hopeless.
During the time my son was being treated, I asked Dr.
Pembroke Pines Pediatric Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
about using botanical oils, which I had researched online. I expected him to tell me I was wasting my time and money--or something to that effect--even though there seems to be some documentation of effectiveness. He told me that oils had not been medically proven to be effective; but that since it wouldn't interfere with anything he was doing, he said I should go ahead and try it. He said he didn't care what worked, as long as something did and even if the oils weren't medically helpful, they would soothe my son's scalp, which was dry from the other solutions. I'm not sure if he actually believed it, but he treated every suggestion I had--crazy or not--with utmost respect.
Most importantly, my son was not afraid of going to Dr.
Pembroke Pines Pediatric Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
, who had children's books and puzzles in each exam room, and who always spoke to him directly (as opposed to some doctors who talk to the parents as if the young patient wasn't even there.) For a kindergarten project, my son had to bring in pictures of himself with various professionals and he chose to bring one of him and Dr.
Pembroke Pines Pediatric Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
. When treating a child with a chronic condition that will require many visits, a good rapport between doctor and patient is so important and Dr.
Pembroke Pines Pediatric Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
nailed it.
If the alopecia returns--and unfortunately, with this condition, that's a strong possibility--we will definitely return to Dr.

The big problem with him, is getting into his office because we are limited with other dermatologists in the area. He's good for people that need return visits. He is good with follow-up care.

Three of my kids have used this group for various skin related issues as well. I feel they're very professional & very thorough. They have good follow-up in general. They schedule annual visits in advance to keep you on track to make sure everything is going well.

We arrived a few minutes before the appointment time and were taken into the examining room within a few minutes. The office is pleasant and the staff are friendly. We didn't have to wait long in the examining room.

Pembroke Pines Pediatric Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
has a great "bedside manner," friendly and joking, and takes the time to explain all the treatment options and answer any questions. He asked my 16-year-old the questions directly, while also getting my input, allowed her to have a say in treatment options, and was respectful of her feelings. He is mindful of the cost of medications: he previously offered us coupons that were available for a prescription, which made a big difference in the cost; and on this visit, he switched us over to a similar medication that was cheaper, because the coupon was no longer valid. (The new medication also worked well.)

Checkout is quick and efficient. I asked for a copy of the treatment sheet for FSA purposes, and they are always glad to provide it.

Dr.
Pembroke Pines Pediatric Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
was great. She checked out my daughter - made her feel comfortable - and gave us some
Pembroke Pines Pediatric Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
prescriptions (including some samples for some of the expensive creams!) - and made some recommendations for over-the-counter creams and humidification for our home. This combination of solutions did the trick and kept my daughter's eczema under control all winter. We very much appreciated having her expert assistance!
